Consumer Complaint: I purchased a vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX AT XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX on XXXX XXXX. I received a loan from CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. Upon my findings they have violated my rights with THE CONSUMER LAW 15 us code 1605 and also 15 usc 1681 a ( 2 ) ( a ) ( i ) which states late payments are illegal. I was not explained in detail all of the extra fees and down payments are illegal which Ive paid. Also I was giving a very hard time getting my car fixed after day XXXX of purchasing the vehicle. They were rude and did not answer any further calls of concern from me. Can you please further investigate this matter. Thank You

Consumer Complaint: I was sold a XXXX in XX/XX/2019 with Credit Acceptance & was told at the time that my card I was using through my work was an acceptable card to pay my loan. I set up auto payments & went about my business. Well 2 months later Im getting phone calls that my car is now two months behind on payments. Which my monthly payments were just over {$600.00}. So now they're telling me I already owe over {$1200.00}. I argued with them that i was on automatic payments & that there is no way im already behind. they said that the card i had on file wasn't a real bank card & they can't pull payments from it. So now they're asking me to come up with {$1200.00} on the spot plus my next payment that's going to be due. No one called when my first months payment didn't go through nor when my second. They were calling me when it was about to be my third month. The card I had at the time wasnt set up to be able to see what was being withdrew so I had no idea. They end up repossessing my vehicle & putting a repossession on mine & my gf 's credit score. & that is now on their for the next 7 years. They keep trying to collect money from me & even took my state tax returns. This company is HUGE SCAM & will do whatever it takes to get money out of you. They will ruin your score & any chance of actually getting a decent vehicle or even buying a home. All because someone couldn't give me a heads up that my card I was using they actually didn't accept like they had originally said & now I have to deal with the consequences for who knows how long. I want my justice & for my name, my now fiancee 's name & both of our scores to be cleared of the repossession that never should have taken place

Consumer Complaint: I took out a auto loan with Credit Acceptance Corporation in XXXX, due to their lack of paperwork, this did not start reporting on my credit until XXXX. I done a vountary repossession on the vehicle in XXXX of XXXX. They auctioned off the vehicle after the repossession. They continue every single month to report this account as " Open '' rather than " closed '' or " charged off ''. They continue every single month to report a late payment for the 65 months. They also have an off the wall out of state address that I have never been associated with in Louisiana. In addition to the balance being incorrect because they have never applied the auction funds to the remianing balance of the loan, they also report the account as repossessed, late, repossessed again, then back on track, then repossessed, then charged off, then late again. Its absolutely absurd. I have worked VERY hard to fix my credit, this is the only negative account holding me back. It has now been 7 years since this account had its first missed payment and has been repossessed. This also goes against my debt/income ratio and prevents me from further auto loans because it looks as though I have an open auto loan. I have disputed this account for YEARS due to inaccurate information and the credit bureus refuse to fix it. Credit Acceptance does not respond to any letters that I have sent to them directly verifying any information I have asked for. I am asking for this to be removed from my credit report, as the inaccurate information being reported, the failure to respond to my verification requests all go against my rights under the XXXX. Please help me!!!

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I went to go buy my first vehicle, I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX, I was told the only way I could get a loan was through Credit Acceptance, I have been paying {$420.00} a month since then, I can't afford it I'm so far into debt because of the high interest I was pressured into it, and the XXXX XXXX XXXX I bought had to have the transmission replaced 3 times and worked on multiple times not even 30 days after the purchase was finalized. I had to use the extended warranty that I paid for to have this fixed. I was young and didn't know what I was doing and I was taken advantage of because I was young, a woman, and the car dealer knew I was pregnant at the time and needed transportation, I XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX he was my co-signer and he had XXXX XXXX not even 30 days after the sale closed I was having transmission problems and took the car back to where I bought it from and he did nothing to help me besides to try and seduce me and take advantage of me even further, knowing I was young and grieving had just lost my job due to my XXXX XXXX After the second time, I told him I was having issues with my transmission, I asked him if this was considered a lemon law and he told me no and he would use my warranty and have his shop guy fix it, but the problems still occurred, so I called a continental transmission and they had to replace the transmission not once but twice themselves before the problems were somewhat fixed, I still have problems with the vehicle today but I'm stuck with it because of the messed up loan I was tricked into with a company that is scamming millions worldwide, I've tried everything to get out of it I tried to even just give the piece of junk back but I need transportation and I can't afford another vehicle because I'm drowning in debt from how high the loan is and how expensive the monthly payment is and it was supposed to be a 4 year loan but somehow I still owe well over XXXX even though I've never missed a single payment. I don't know what else to do I really need some help here because something is not right and this all really needs to be investigated. Please help me.

The Credit bureaus stated my account was properly investigation but how is that possible if the open date is inaccurate, the date last active is inaccurate, and date last reported is not accurate, date of last payment is inaccurate, past due amount is inaccurate, account type inaccurate. This ground for removal they also violated my rights under 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions .I send to them a dispute to verify it which they said it accurate which was not and they illegally change all the information soon as I send them the inaccuracy. Which by the laws should be deleted. The company should be charge for those illegals activities, I'm sure many people are victims by those illegal activities.THEY violating the credit reporting laws. WHich they violating the laws in front of all the XXXX credit bureaus and they still gave them the power to remain on my credit report which is unfair.

Consumer Complaint: I got my XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX. When I purchased the vehicle they said the only bank I could use was credit acceptance. I was told that everything that was included with the loan had to be in it, such as warranty, service fees etc and that if I didn't agree to these extras I wouldn't be able to use credit acceptance as a lender. I then find out later that I had a choice. This loan ended up being much more than was disclosed when purchasing the vehicle. And because of these extra inflated costs it was hard to keep up on payments especially with outrageous late fees. I was in desperate need of a vehicle, they knew I would be unable to afford it but used my desperation to their advantage and convinced me otherwise. So I ended up defaulting, getting my car repossessed twice and the second time it was repossessed it was sold in auction for 3 times less than the blue book value of the car. They sold it in auction for XXXX dollars. And even after it was sold they are still adding interest to the loan making it even harder to get out of debt. Because of their tactics I lost my job, can't afford another vehicle because I am denied for every loan and am still to this day having a hard time keeping a job due to no vehicle and no reliable way to get to work. Within the first 2 weeks of purchasing the vehicle it ended up having a lot of issues making the vehicle so it couldn't be driven. I tried to use the service contract that I was duped into, and was denied for evert claim through them as well as the dealership that I purchased it from. This company is extremely rude when you try to reach out to them for support and they talk you down and tell you straight out that " you shouldn't have got a loan that you couldn't afford '' yet they add all these extra fees and make it seem like you have to get these extras to even be considered for a loan. They used the fact that I was poor, with poor credit and desperate. Credit Acceptance should not be allowed to continue this fraudulent behavior and should be shut down.
