Consumer Complaint: I originally went into a contract with XXXX XXXX and sports provided the contract was written as a consumer installment contract not a loan But credit acceptance has reported it as a vehicle finance loan as a finance loan it violates federal contract law in regards to finance charges 1026.4 Finance charge. subsection4 d part 2 ( i ) The insurance coverage may be obtained from a person of the consumer 's choice, and this fact is disclosed. ( A creditor may reserve the right to refuse to accept, for reasonable cause, an insurer offered by the consumer. ) ( ii ) If the coverage is obtained from or through the creditor, the premium for the initial term of insurance coverage shall be disclosed. If the term of insurance is less than the term of the transaction, the term of insurance shall also be disclosed. The premium may be disclosed on a unit-cost basis only in open-end credit transactions, closed-end credit transactions by mail or telephone under 1026.17 ( g ), and certain closed-end credit transactions involving an insurance plan that limits the total amount of indebtedness subject to coverage. the creditor as they have told the world they are faild to give me the option to choose to be insured through the finance charges and forced me to find insurance I will settle for no less than destruction of the contract and a full refund of the complete purchase including the downpayment

Consumer Complaint: I got this auto loan and there are fees on this that are against a Fair credit reporting truth in lending and a bunch of stuff I know the cfpb and New York State attorney general has a class action lawsuit against credit acceptance I look for updates all the time I am having a hard time getting this removed off in my credit report the car blew up in XXXX I contacted them right away they wouldn't work with me they wanted their money and I completely understand that but at the same time it was going to cost over {$5000.00} to fix this car it's a XXXX XXXXXXXX it's not a brand new car I'm doing everything in my power so something is done about this it's getting to the point where I'm going to have to take a legal action myself because with everything inside me they will not get away with this so-called fraud I was looking on my documents and it said {$910.00} to be paid to others on my behalf what is that all about I want them to explain that to me and my down payment? My down payment wasn't even taking off the loan I'm going to attach my loan document so you can clearly see that they took {$12000.00} and then they added my down payment if my down payment would have been subtracted off in this loan and I wouldn't have been charged XXXX interest and the XXXX as well as others that I got charged this car would have been paid off this is not right and I know you guys at cfpb know that this isn't that right that's why you guys have an open class action against them and that's why credit Acceptance stock market is declining I already know they paid Massachusetts XXXX XXXX back to customers that they frauded something needs to be done with this company it's not fair that they take advantage of people with low credit and low income that's totally wrong they have no conscience either about what they're doing and that's so unfair as long as their wallet is fat that's all that matters to them and that's wrong because she now I am stuck without a vehicle and I can't get a loan know-how and they're flagging my account constantly they've even ran hard inquiries on my credit report they've even called me on a Sunday when I was having dinner with my family at XXXX in the evening I'm going to contact my phone company and get a printout of the phone calls since the car got repoed they won't even tell me where the car is located unless I make a payment I've got stuff in there that I need back that means a lot to me I really truthfully did not think that they would come and get it because of the year and the motor was gone but I was dead wrong on that

Consumer Complaint: he credit bureaus keep disrespecting the laws. I showed them multiple times of how they are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ) the credit bureaus have to modify or delete accounts that are not reporting accurately According to 15 USC 1681b ( 1 ) the credit bureaus dont have no written premission According to 15 USC 1681 I have the right to privacy According to 15 USC 1681s-2 A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if ( i ) Credit acceptance coorparation has been notified of this injustice on my account and still refuses to take any action to right this wrong. Someone needs to hold them accountable for this

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX located in XXXX XXXX, named me as a Co-signer on a vehicle approved by Credit Acceptance. I did not sign nor was I informed about any of this. I have never purchased a vehicle at any Auto Dealership nor have I ever attempted to purchase a vehicle at a Dealership due to the unjust and life ending amount of interest Child Support and the XXXX as well as the XXXX XXXX system has attached to a monthly child support payment a incredibly bias Commissioner has ordered me to pay. The amount has exploded to a ridiculous amount as I was unemployed at the time this was apparently was written in stone. My license was then suspended by the XXXX. The amount owed is certain to automatically deny any attempt to assume the role of a Co-Signer of a vehicle loan. I currently do not understand at how this was approved. Yet at the time of XXXX to XXXX my information was attached to Credit Acceptance which was without my knowledge.

Consumer Complaint: Reached out to company before repossession during first 6 months to let them know that the vehicle was a " lemon '', it had a constant oil shortage in which the dealership suggested I drive there weekly from another city to receive more oil. I called to let credit acceptance know that I didn't want the vehicle due to the issues less than 6 months having the vehicle. Before any issues all payments were on time even after having to pay out of pocket I started receiving recall papers in the mail regarding the vehicle however by that time the engine had already went out, I reached out again to the finance company regarding these issues and not being able to pay I reached out to the company again during covid because I was having financial difficulties as was the rest of the world, however they still wanted payments and refused my offer to return the vehicle once again Couldn't work during covid and couldn't pay to fix an engine that I had already received recall about

Consumer Complaint: This issue is regarding an auto loan I had dating back to XXXX, with Credit Acceptance Corp. It was a used XXXX and the transmission went out on the vehicle, I called and had them pickup the vehicle. I only had the vehicle for 24 months and the transmission went out. Credit Acceptance is reporting the vehicle on my consumer file as a repossession, the vehicle was not a repossession, it was an involuntary repossession because the vehicle was sent back because it had a faulty transmission. In addition, Credit Acceptance Corp is claiming I owe a balance of {$4100.00} dollars for a lemon they sold me. This account should not appear on my consumer file, Credit Acceptance Corp is reporting inaccurate information on my consumer file and this account should not appear on my credit file. This account should be removed from my credit file.

I've spoken to Credit acceptance on several occasions where they verbally agreed to have themselves removed from my credit report. This account has been paid in full and is closed since 2021 and yet it remains on my report. Ive been disputing this with the credit bureau 's as well and they intend to keep this on my report for 10 years. im currently trying to get funding a new home and the lenders are refusing to fund me because of this matter.
