Consumer Complaint: I purchased this vehicle in XXXX of XXXX. I was behind in the months of XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. I lost my job in XXXX of XXXX. And I agreed to paying {$250.00} bi-weekly. I owed under {$4000.00} when I contacted them in XXXX of XXXX, and agreed to pay the loan off until I filed my taxes in XXXX. I voluntarily released my vehicle, due to pressure, despite me doing my due diligence in keeping communication with them. I looked at my XXXX Credit report on XX/XX/XXXX, and seen that it states that I was180 days late. I was never that far behind. Strangely, I received a letter from Credit Acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX, stating that my loan was paid in full and the lien was released, which means I should have both the car I voluntarily released to them and I also should have my title.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is with Credit Acceptance Hello. I am aware of my full balance due on my vehicle. The remaining balance as well as the pay off quote is way more than what the original price of the vehicle was, which was around $ XXXX. My vehicle has over XXXX in miles, I pay 21 % in interest which is absurd. I have already paid over XXXX so far, it's no reason for my pay off quote to be over XXXX. I am really having a hard time paying such a high car note. My XXXX car note is XXXX XXXX I need for my contract to be changed. Or at least the amount to change so I can pay it off sooner. The remaining balance is over XXXX to pay and they won't do nothing to help. I called multiple times and no one helps.

Consumer Complaint: From the first week we attained our loan from Credit Acceptance and drove our Vehicle off of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Lot we have had continual issues with the vehicle, we were denied use of the additional services we paid {$2500.00} cash for, the warranty was fraudulently sold and unusable due to the state of the vehicle and the parts on it at the time of purchase. We are being charged XXXX in interest for a XXXX loan? We were not shown many of the deceptive things that are in our paperwork. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX the sales women at XXXX XXXX XXXX was deceptive from telling use the car warranty was included in our loan and that the change in the cars price was due to a higher interest rate. My husband nor myself had jobs upon purchasing the vehicle. We contacted the bank telling them that we could not find anyone to take the warranty and if they could help. They said unfortunately no. The warranty company could not supply a list not could the dealership. The dear ship. We finally found a shop and the car sat for 7 months. XXXX XXXX approved the car repairs but we had to wait for them to inspect our truck. They never came repeated calls from the mechanic. We called the bank- they refused to file a complaint told me that if I had a lawyer they could speak with she would file a complaint. no lawyer no supervisor, no escalation. no complaints. XXXX XXXX XXXX refuses to return phone calls and XXXX XXXX denies repairs that care covered under our warranty. The three companies are working together to defraud Americans. They have completely destroyed my families finances. It took us 6 months to find someone to give us a loan after our transmission blew. I was XXXX with XXXX kids. My husband and I had no car and signed a loan with credit acceptance to purchase a vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX with a warranty and a 22 percent interest rate. How is it XXXX for XXXX loan I gave them XXXX cash upfront? I cant leave my house and my trucks been in the shop waiting for someone to pay for repairs for 15 months. the truck is still there in pieces as XXXX XXXX told the mechanic to dissemble my truck. the three companies are working together to deceive buyers. WE bought a XXXX vehicle, paid XXXX cash and ended up with a XXXX loan from credit acceptance. For a truck that was inoperable after 3 months of ownership.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I was hornswoggled into a dubious and predatory loan by a XXXX dealership in XXXX XXXX, NJ ; in conjunction with Credit Acceptance Corp. Unbeknownst to me, they surreptitiously added several thousands of dollars to the loan that was granted to me, under the guise of an " extended warranty '' for a base model XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with close to XXXX miles. The initial purchase price of the vehicle was {$8800.00}, with monthly payments of {$370.00}. For more than 2 years, I steadfastly made timely payments, but the balance almost remained the same. From what I gathered, my interest rate was over 24 %, which explained why I could not pay down the principal, even though I tried. This duplicitous contract took it's toll on me financially and left me almost impecunious. Out of exasperation, I was forced to have a voluntary repossession. It would have taken me about 15 years to pay-off the car, and perhaps, paid XXXX times the price of the car! Ultimately, after repossession, the vehicle was sold at an auction, without any prior notice to me. The date, time or location was never communicated to me. This totally negates New Jersey statute that stipulates that a lender must give at least 15 days prior notice to the Lendee, in the event of an auction. Credit Acceptance Corp. sent me a current balance of {$13000.00} and has also reported to the major credit bureaus as purportedly owed by me, after the car was sold. This subterfuge needs to end! I would like to partake in the class action lawsuit to, first and foremost, have my default status expunged from the credit bereaus ; and be recompensed for this finagling and underhanded contract.

The tag price was XXXX I put a down payment of {$7500.00}. I paid {$530.00} totaling {$19000.00}. for three years. I made each payment on time and once I finished, they told me I owed another {$17000.00}, then explained that my final balance was {$30.00} for the full purchase price. I was told it was finance charges. Once I began asking the proper questions, they just kept saying it was because of interest and finance. I started to look through my transaction history and do a little investigating of my own. During my investigation, all payments were going to daily interest, none to the principal. Customer service stated, interest that had accrued over time. All my car payments were on time? Also, I asked, What vehicle goes from the tag price of {$19000.00} to over {$30000.00}. The attorney of record statement shows that they received file # XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. As of XXXX, they started garnishing of my paychecks on XXXX.
