Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance offered a settlement agreement amount to settle my account with them through The law firm XXXX and XXXX. I paid the settlement amount in XX/XX/23. I waited more than thirty days for them to report the payment to my credit company XXXX but they have yet to report the account has been paid. Ive submitted several disputes regarding this account through XXXX but Credit Acceptance has not taken the necessary action to get this account resolved and closed. I have submitted the documents from XXXX and XXXX showing the account has been paid in full to them but they still reporting this account open on my credit report and its hurting my credit score. At this point its false information because the account has been paid.

Consumer Complaint: Had a repossession from Credit Acceptance corporation in XXXX of XXXX. I got the XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Had vehicle for almost 3 years car payment was {$440.00} monthly could no longer afford that payment. Also, every time I called for payment it would still say my payoff was over {$20000.00}. When I got car from XXXX XXXX in XXXX VA the car was a little over XXXX dollars after finance was added only was supposed to be little over {$17000.00}. I received a summons to appear in court in XXXX VA on XXXX XXXX being sued for over {$8000.00} by a third party agency C/O XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX VA for Credit Acceptance XXXX XXXX XXXX the salesman never told me nor did I see where I had to pay over a 22 % interest rate nor would have agreed to pay XXXX dollars for a vehicle that I was told was only gone cost me a little over {$17000.00}. I am a victim of Predatory Lending by Credit Acceptance. Credit Acceptance sold the vehicle in an auction in XXXX VA. I will not have a car been lost the money that I paid into the car and they have my money that I paid into car and the money that they sold car for. Credit Acceptance recently had a lawsuit in XXXX XXXX XXXX for doing this to other customers. They take people like me and do this Predatory Lending. I would never agree to pay that kind of interest on a vehicle.

Consumer Complaint: My mother financed a car through credit acceptance at an interest rate of 22.99 %. The car was valued at XXXX but they charged her XXXX for it. The car was involved in an accident in XXXX. It was totaled. Thats when I found out that they let her use me as a co-signer without me consenting to do so and she purchased the car without initially getting insurance. My mother passed away in 2020. After she died they took me to court, sued me and are threatening to garnish my checks if I dont pay them {$17000.00}. They also reported it as a voluntary repossession on my credit which is hurting my credit score and credit worthiness.
