Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Changes in terms mid-deal or after closing
Consumer Complaint: I was told I was getting the car for XXXX or so but the paperwork that was sent to me by credit acceptance was way over XXXX or so .. and they will not work with me on my payments they will not refinance to help me get my payment monthly down.. they have called after I was late on one of my payments saying they would come repo my car... I have told them that there is over 5 recalls on this car and I have been waiting for over 4 months to get the parts so the XXXX people can fix it .. and two of the recalls are on my airbags they are nonfiction at this time and that my traction and stabilization unit is not right so therefore whenever it rains the car tends to want to slide to one side or another and it tries to pull to one side or the other .. very dangerous.. they still said they couldn't help me or let me try to get another car that does not have dangerous recalls on it..

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with the interest rate
Consumer Complaint: Toward the end of 2019, I was in the Market for a new car. I was approved by Credit Acceptance for a loan that I was not initally interested in but they told me that it was the only loan and interest rate that I qualified for becasue I did not have much credit history. I needed a car and accepted the loan because I was under the impression that there were no other options or interest rates available for me. In trying to communicate with them about interest rates and the cost of the car they often told me there is no one I can talk to and eneded up repossing my car within a year. I did agree to the payments but I was unaware of all the fees and all of the interest that they would charge me and when trying to explain my hardship of XXXX and other issues that I faced during this time, they were unwilling to listen and work something out with me. This caused the price of the car to continue to rise because of the excessive interest rate. I feel taken advantage of and it is even difficult for them to send me the terms of the contract that was signed. I would like to file this complaint because I have paid {$11000.00} and they can not tell me what has went to principal and what has went to interest. I have requested the contract agreement.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Problem after you declared or threatened to declare bankruptcy
Consumer Complaint: I purchased my vehicle through All approved auto sales, and they informed me that I was allowed to obtain a vehicle for {$20000.00} in which I just came across that the loan was immensely impacted and that what I signed off on was not what I expected to, and I tried to refinance my vehicle due to hardships, they told me that there was nothing they can do. The car is only worth {$10000.00}, the payout owed is {$34000.00}. Because I was behind on my payments, they stated that I had to pay more than what I was already paying, they do not work with you. I can't even trade the vehicle in because I'll still owe a lumpsum that's deterring car companies to turn me away because of the negative equity. My credit is heavily impacted by them, and I can no longer afford these payments. I was also told that I had GAP coverage and, on the payout, quote I was informed that I don't. I were scammed through All Approved Auto Sales in XXXX, NJ and I am looking to seek legal services in regard to this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I was a victim of a predatory auto loan- they collected {$4000.00} down payment- my car was totaled 4 months later and I was severely injured- my insurance and gap insurance should have covered it- When I finally went back to work they took my first paycheck in an un authorized automatic payment- I was almost evicted. They have since decimated my credit. They continue to increase my credit limit and charge late fees.

My credit score as well as my son 's has dropped horribly. I need this loan voided and our credit restored. The dealer, XXXX said I could return the vehicle but my credit would definitely be affected and I could forget about getting my deposit. I contacted him weekly to see when the vehicle could come in for a check and he kept stalling. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NJ

Consumer Complaint: The company repossessed vehicle in XXXX after they refused to honor my valid vehicle warranty for a failed engine. I tried talking with them several times to negotiate vehicle loan obligations due to the engine failure in less than a year of purchase if I replaced the engine myself. They declined all offers, turned the vehicle off so I couldn't even start it to get a second diagnosis on it. They sent notice that they wrote the debt off {$4500.00} in XXXX. But contrary Now they are trying to garnish my wages 8 years later. This is so unfair. They claimed they got against judgement on me in XX/XX/XXXX, which I never knew about, nor has it ever even been on any of my credit reports. This is unjust and just wrong. Now they've boosted the debt to over {$7000.00}. I'm XXXX any only work part time just to be able to feed myself. This is crazy. Please help.
