Yet my account is saying a passed due late fee of XXXX dollars was giving to me on the XXXX of XXXX. I have never missed or been late on a payment since I started with the company and Im not understanding why this charge has been given to me. Ive tried calling and the office is always closed by the time Im out of work or on weekends even tho it says it is open. I want this fee gone immediately and not reported on my credit nor do I want this problem again.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I bought a used XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX Auto for {$16000.00}. Credit Acceptance was the only lender I could get an approval from. I paid {$1000.00} down. When I looked at my account online, I noticedI was charged {$37000.00}. After looking through the papers the dealership rushed me through, I found that Credit Acceptance charged me {$17000.00} as a finance charge. The finance charge is more than the purchase price of the car. Credit Acceptance refuses to do anything. But if I am a day late their reps call me non-stop all day long. It is so bad I have my phone on silent at all times.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX evades state interest rate caps and deprives consumers of the ability to make informed decisions, to compare financing options, or to avoid high interest charges. Under the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the CFPB has the authority to take action against institutions violating consumer financial protection laws, including engaging in unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices. XXXX XXXX obscured the true cost of its loans, subjecting me to severe XXXX XXXX and aggressive debt collection on loans its own systems predicted that I can't afford to repay. Under Section 47-14-103, the state legal maximum interest rate is ten percent per annum. Under Section 47-14-121, interest rate on money judgment is ten percent per annum. If the judgment is based on a note or contract fixing another rate of interest, the interest will be same as agreed in the transaction.Charging higher rate of interest than the permitted state legal maximum interest rate is usury. Under Section 47-14-117, any contract charging usurious interest is not enforceable ; in such contracts the lender can only recover the principal amount and the lawful interest. If it is found that the lender has taken usurious interest, charges or fees, the lender will have to reimburse twice the amount collected from the debtor plus attorney fees. I had to pay more than XXXX in shop repairs because the car broke down and the extended warranty was a waste of money this was a rip off all the way around the board. Credit Acceptance Corp is horrible. I even explained to them that I caught XXXX and tried to get the payments in default they said they didnt do it I even tried to refinance they didnt do that either.
