Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I had financed a XXXX XXXX XXXX through Credit Acceptance. I was involved in an accident last year XXXX of XXXX the car was paid off due to me having Gap insurance and left a balance of {$230.00}. I checked my credit and Credit Acceptance has still been reporting miss payments for 9 months. I called Credit Acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX to get this corrected and the rep told me that he had to report it as missed payments because it has a balance. My credit report is showing a balance XXXX rep stated I only have a balance for {$230.00}. This is false reporting and it has really affected my credit score due to them falsifying my balance and reporting it late when the account is closed.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Denied request to lower payments
Consumer Complaint: I have been on a payment plan with credit acceptance for years. I really had no idea how much I was over charged for the car by dealership due to only being able to use credit acceptance. No matter how much I struggle I strive to get ahead of the loan so it does not continue to ruin my credit. While on a payment plan I asked several times for late fees and previous repossession fee be reviewed. My remaining balance is XXXX. Even after putting all my income tax I am still XXXX is past due. I am more than 80 % paid with this loan yet if I ask for the past due to be placed in the balance instead of past due on my credit report I am Told they cant help me and I can not speak with any other department but collections. I have explained and pleaded with them that I am trying to obtain better credit to pay the loan off or refinance but with the past due always reporting it makes my efforts of paying XXXX bi weekly seem like I will continue to fail with this company my initial balance was XXXX and I only have XXXX. Left to pay off which is primarily fee I really feel the past due should be able to be negotiated better than a constant negative impact on my credit for over 5 years. I am spoken to with great disrespect when I call. I am told I can not speak with anyone about loan charges or options to get caught up with past due other than making the biweekly payments. I feel this loan is predatory and I was charged over an estimate of {$10000.00} above XXXX XXXX value of car and the dealership told me it was because or the rules of credit acceptance and my credit worthiness which is just predatory and wrong I am a single mother and I work really hard. I feel as a consumer these types of loans keep consumer like me in a low credit range.

Consumer Complaint: Well first and formost I financed a car through credit acceptance from a car dealership called XXXX XXXX now in the process of talking with the people at XXXX XXXX I was told that credit acceptance would finance me the vehicle. The car was priced out for XXXX so I gave them XXXX as a down payment on XXXX XXXX XXXX. The car broke down on me and hasnt been driven in months now and I havent had the car in years breaks went out on me in a week and when I explained this to them asking can I return the car I was told it would mess my credit up. I lost my job due to not having transportation and I told them this. So now Im getting harassed with calls daily credit is being shot to pieces dealing with this company telling me I owe them XXXX for a car that isnt even worth that amount. My mother actually did the research and told me to contact you guys because you already had been dealing with issues when it comes to Credit acceptance Corp.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Fraudulent loan
Consumer Complaint: When I purchased my car the only information that I was shown was the monthly payment. My monthly payment is XXXX, {$350.00} is going to pay the interest. My interest rate is 16.8 %. I have made 7 on time payments since purchasing my car and no one will refinance the car due to the loan amount of XXXX and the worth of the car being XXXX. I have contacted XXXX XXXX and they will not renegotiate or refinance the car loan. When the loan was proposed to me I was told this was the only company who would finance me and I had a co-signer. I was not shown the interest rate and only asked what amount I wanted to pay monthly. I told the dealer that since my rent was XXXX my car payment should be half of that. I was also told by the dealer that the car, a 2019 XXXX XXXX was the only car on the lot I could be financed for.
