Consumer Complaint: During 2020 XXXX had affected me because I was Out sick so i wasnt working & the company Credit Acceptance Corporation was in agreement with me that the payment would come out biweekly every XXXX and the XXXX of the month when i bought the car at the dealership XXXX XXXX Credit Acceptance Corporation Has been changing the date on my days that i am Supposed to pay, lying saying i made 33 agreements with them to pay which is not true as well. This has affected my credit profile overall and messed up my ability to buy a home and improve my credit because they have been reporting me late. In which I shouldnt be late Im only late because they switch my dates in the contract that we agreed to at the dealership.

With the recent and also past lawsuits that Credit Acceptance Corp. has been involved in ( according to multiple national news networks ) has made me take another look at my contract with them in XXXX. Not only did I notice my APR was at 23.99 % but there was an optional extended warranty for {$1400.00} and a optional GAP protection for {$630.00} somehow was added to the contract. Knowing that these extra useless expenses that were added, would eventually cause me to default on the loan. I believe that C.A.C. is in violation of Wisconsin State Laws regarding " Usury '' with this contract. I will attach a copy of the contract to this complaint. I entered into an agreement with Credit Acceptence on a car loan ACCOUNT # XXXX for the purchase of a car XXXX XXXX XXXX The original price of the car, as stated in the sales agreement, was {$16000.00}. However, I have recently discovered that the terms and conditions of the loan have led to an exorbitant cost of credit, causing me substantial financial distress. The annual percentage rate ( APR ) applied to my car loan is an astonishing 22.99 %. and now the loan is {$41000.00} This excessive interest rate has led to a total cost of credit that far exceeds the initial price of the vehicle. I find it unconscionable that I am being charged nearly three times the original cost of the car due to the exorbitant interest rate now the prices went up to. As a result, I am struggling to meet the monthly payments, which has led to late payment penalties and a decline in my credit score. The financial strain caused by this loan agreement has had a detrimental impact on my personal life as well.
