Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX the primary on the car loan reached out to Credit acceptance to have a payment plan set up due to a financial hardship. They agreed to the payment plan, and we asked if it would affect the credit which we were told no it would not. I as the co-signer have been monitoring my credit report since XXXX when I got a notification the account went to delinquency. I filed a report with them that this was incorrect not only were we told that it would not affect my credit but also the amount owed. When myself as the cosigner saw the delinquency, I went ahead and paid it fully the total amount was XXXX and some change on the credit report they reported it as XXXX. Which is fully incorrect information. When i filed with Credit Acceptance they claim it is fully correct to report the false information along with a delinquency

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I received an alert from XXXX that a new address was added to my credit report. As you know, identity theft and fraud is prevalent. I immediately thought that someone was trying to steal my identity. I was so alarmed by this notification ; I became visibly shaken. I went to XXXX and saw that a new address was reported as XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. I tried reporting this online, but due to how I was reporting it, as Identity theft, I was immediately directed to call XXXX. I called XXXX and soon learned that the address update lead back to Credit Acceptance Corp. They reported an address change without my knowledge. My Credit Acceptance account is XXXX on my XXXX credit report. I immediately placed a fraud alert on my file # XXXX & XXXX XXXX however this address was documented on my file by this debtor without my consent. Credit Acceptance was attempting to use fraud/deceptive practices to collect a debt. Per XXXX their records show that this report/update leads back to Credit Acceptance Corp XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My boyfriend gave me power of attorney to speak to this company so I could pay off the truck, I've been trying for 6 months to get someone to speak to me even sent them a copy of paperwork twice and they are saying it's not good enough. I had the money to pay it totally off twice but had to spend it on trying to fix me something to drive till I figure it out. Now it's gone, they got it. My POA says unlimited. At first they even made arrangements and said after court we'd figure it out then they just refused to talk to me, I'm on his paperwork as someone to speak with as well. Why would I make payments if I had the cash to pay it all. I've been harassed so much from this company and it's caused me a lot of stress, calling all hours, beeping in my other line as I'm speaking to them only to say they won't speak to me. Now they want me to call them? I have no concerns.I expect the truck back or at least my tire/wheels and other accessories After the stress they put me through. I had to voluntarily surrender the vehicle to credit acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX and not being without a working vehicle to drive since date of car purchase i want to be fully compensated for as well. the vehicle failed all diagnostic testing. No service centers wanted to even work on the vehicle saying its bond repair. and no one would take the warranty insurance leaving me without a working vehicle for months. this has been very disheartening to have to experience a serious matter like this. the mental anguish has been real for me and my children. I would like credit acceptance immediately removed off of my credit report. i would like the Michigan LEMON law to enforce this company out of business.
