Consumer Complaint: I contacted these debt collectors and let them know that I recently obtained my consumer credit file and discovered their agency was reporting alleged debts due and owing. Accordingly my records reflect that they were not, neither have they ever been a known creditor of mine. Therefore I respectfully demanded verification and or validation of any alleged debt pursuant to 15 USC1692g, and 15 USC1681, respectively.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX Credit Acceptance Corporation closed my account ( XXXX ) referring it to an outside lawyers office for handling. The account with Credit Acceptance was opened in XXXX of XXXX. After 5 years and 3 months of the account being reported as " Closed - Referred to Outside Collection Agency/Attorney '' - Credit Acceptance re-opened the account, along with falsely updating the payment status to reflect past due 120 days. During a time in our world where we are not promised tomorrow, I find it extremely disappointing this company would resort to these measures. Credit Acceptance is intentionally reporting these inaccuracies to further delay the statue of limitations of this account. As previously stated, with this account being reported as Closed since XXXX, it was scheduled to be removed from my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX. With the current reported information it has extended the time until XXXX. I never received any calls from Credit Acceptance requesting the account to be re-opened, neither the co-applicant or myself make any payments on this account nor were there any recent payment arrangements. In contacting the Credit Acceptance I spoke with a Supervisor by the name of XXXX - who stated the following : " I'm quite sure us reporting the account closed for five years benefited you but I have nothing to do with that ''.

Consumer Complaint: Beginning in XX/XX/XXXX our payments have been showing delinquent even though our account is set on auto-pay through the bank. In XX/XX/XXXX we asked for a payment arrangement on our account due to having to have work done on our car. We were never told by Credit Acceptance Corporation that our account would be reported as past due because we requested a payment arrangement. When we pulled our credit report, it should that our payments are reporting past due every month from XX/XX/XXXX until this very day. We also notice that in XX/XX/XXXX when a payment arrangement was placed on the account it showed that we missed a payment. We were never told that payment arrangements would show our account as delinquent. We pay extra every month on our car note even before the payment arrangement was requested. Our payments are {$350.00} per month and we pay {$440.00} per month since XX/XX/XXXX. This is a joint account and it appears this way on both of our credit reports. This is preventing us from trading our car in or purchasing a new car.
