Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with credit acceptance ( acct # XXXX ) which is up to date. The loan was both in my husband and my name. My husband totaled the car, and his insurance company, XXXX paid {$10.00}, XXXX on XX/XX/2020. I called and spoke to a representative about the remaining balance in the beginning of XXXX and requested that my credit score be updated within 30 days. Afterwards I made arrangements to pay off the balance of the loan and made a payment of {$480.00} on XX/XX/2020. This brought the balance current. The representative stated that my credit score would be updated by XX/XX/2020 to reflect the current balance. I checked my credit report with all three agencies and it is reflecting a balance of {$17.00}, XXXX Credit acceptance requested an additional 30 days to correct the balance although I stated that I am aware of my rights as a consumer and that the company legally has 30 days to respond to correspondence/communication regarding accurate account balances. I spoke with XXXX, XXXX ( supervisor ) and XXXX in the corporate office, whom requested that I just keep calling the company until I can reach someone from their credit reporting division.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 my car was totaled out. On XX/XX/2020 the insurance company responsible paid {$8800.00} for the vehicle. The total amount due was {$12000.00}. They have also received payments of : {$570.00}, {$740.00}, {$2200.00}. All of this equals the total amount for the car but instead of them applying the money to the vehicle balance they applied it to the finance charges and saying I still owe money on the vehicle. I have been calling 2 to 3 times a week about my account ever since XX/XX/2020. They refuse to let me speak with a supervisor. I also have requested a payment history so I could view how they have been applying the payments and they refuse to send it me. They also then tell me I have until XXXX XXXX to pay off the remaining balance, or I will be responsible for paying the finance charges which is at least {$9000.00}. Also they are adding money on to the balance every week. From last week I went from owing {$1000.00} to now owing {$1200.00}. When I asked what the extra charges are for, I was told finance charges.

Consumer Complaint: I have received several call from the credit acceptance company saying we understand that there is a covid 19 but you still owe money so how are you going to pay. I explained someone told me that the natural disaster would be applied but I still keep receiving harrassing phone calls, I am curious as to how they do not have a strategy to help me out considering all the people affected by covid 19. I do want to pay my vehicle but I am struggling getting a job and the safety concern and XXXX do not help all lives matter and this company is confusing me with their contracdicting statements first I was told my vehicle would not be repossed and now they are telling me, REGARDLESS of the situation I owe money and there is a possiblity. I need to know know what is happening so a attorney can help me out. This is by far the most contracdicting statement I have heard from the call center of credit acceptance that keeps calling me. Please help I am sure I am not the only individual that this company is doing this to. Also when I finance the car I had a credit score of XXXX, I checked all three and can not find a credit score of XXXX that this company keeps stating that is how they financed the vehilce at almost 30 percent finance charge. And have failed to provide the credit score that helped them with that decision.

Consumer Complaint: Recently while applying for a home loan I discovered I had been the victim of identity theft. Someone had used my information to open a fraudulent account with a lot of business and company. Including Telecommunications, Credit Cards, Cash loan, Car Loans and Bank accounts. This is not my account and I have enclosed a police report indicating this. I have attempted to dispute this information with the collection agency but have made no progress.

Consumer Complaint: Acct # XXXX Credit ACCEPTANCE XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX MI XXXX Fax XXXX FROM : XXXX XXXX XXXX To Whom It May Concern : In regards of a recent derogatory credit report and I have been denied acceptance to recover and increase my credit score back to over 700. I am discouraged and hopeless towards the future of my family. I have a large family that depends on me greatly and will not be able to acquire a home for myself and them due to this denial from the credit agency. With everything going on with COVID-19 my employer was not able to pay me throughout the past month oXXXX XXXX in a continuous weekly pay day due to shortages of business. COVID-19 has TREMENDOUSLY impacted me and my family in many ways like the rest of the world and we wish we can continue on purchasing a new home to bring some light of hope for all of my familys future. I have worked VIGOUROUSLY to support my family and have been SAVING money to move to a new home that I found this past weekend ( XXXX XXXX ) that I was delighted to receive the news the sellers accepted my offer and could call this new location home. I have maintained an over 700 credit score over the past couple of years and this is an insult to me for the financing company that has my vehicle to deny my credit increase to acquire the home for a recent missed payment on a vehicle. As of yesterday XX/XX/2020, I have PAID OFF THE VEHICLE IN FULL. I have also paid a remaining balance on a credit card with PROOF of action done on XXXX XXXX. I have always stayed on top of my financing bills and one recent mistake has terribly brought DESPAIR and HOPELESSNESS to myself and my family for possibly having to cancel the transaction of buying the new home. I PLEASE BEG of you to help find a solution to this major issue that will result in many pains and sufferings towards my family. COVID-19 has already brought limitations on me being with my family and has made the process of purchasing a home more delaying because of it. Once I found the perfect place to call home it has brought a negative thought to the future of my family. We are now under contract and TIME IS OF ESSENCE and ACTION NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY! I have called to try to work something out with the financing company of my vehicle to clear the late payment bad record and they have denied doing payment arrangements. I have PAYED OFF the vehicle in FULL and now have the vehicle under my OFFICIAL OWNERSHIP.I have ALWAYS paid on time and kept my payment balances in GREAT standing. I beg to PLEASE delete this towards my credit because it has affected my life and family situation. I almost come into tears to think of not having a future home for my family. PLEASE understand my frustration and lost hope thoughts for it not only affects me but my family as well. PLEASE I beg you to investigate my case and have the car financing company to remove this reporting in error and in good standing. PLEASE send confirmation within 3-5 days.
