Consumer Complaint: I am being harassed by Credit Acceptance. I got a car loan with them. About 4 maybe 5 month ago I made arrangements to make payments because I was struggling to make it on time. The lady I talk to said that i owe XXXX and the car will be paid off. A little over a month ago I got a call from them saying That I owe XXXX. I ask how is that possible when I know I've been paying on the agreement I made. I just made my last payment this week and they are still calling me sometimes 10 times a day no exaggeration. I feel like they are lying to me, and trying to get more money from me knowing I've paid off my car. I need help so they would leave me alone.

Consumer Complaint: I am being discriminated against by Credit Acceptance. The discrimination is based on several factors. I supplied with Credit Acceptance full acknowledgement they received payment on a timely notice, then why not correct the error. Upon researching, I observed these biases are predominantly present within the lower socioeconomical buyers. This is applauding as to the terms within the contract. Its as if though I am helpless against big corporations such as credit acceptance refusing to treat buyers fairly and just. Its noticeable within some contracts within the less fortunate population payments are often reported late when on time. Due to it being a second chance finance company it takes full advantage on this premise. Initially the complaint was deemed unnecessary however to date, I have never received my title for this car. As per XXXX law I am Suppose to have this title. My vehicle has been parked for three months due to me not receiving the title for this car because its not able to be driven. I advised, I needed to obtain the title for insurance and registration purposes. To date, I have not received the title. The Company quickly adjusted the balance and after the complaint was closed changed the amount back. They are practicing discrimatory practices. There is no disputable fact, they received payment for those months on time. The company refuses to ensure they report accurately report such payments.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance, a car financing company, reported to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX that I was 30 days late in XX/XX/2020 for acct # XXXX. Before my payment was due, I called the company to let them know I was affected by the XXXX. I requested for help and if I did not receive my unemployment in time, could they mark my account as " Affected by Natural Disaster ''. Credit Acceptance instead, reported my account as late, which dropped my credit score 85 points, I'm so sad. I contacted credit acceptance and they refused to change the reporting. This late payment has affected my Excellent payment history with them. Please investigate the inaccuracy of Credit Acceptance reporting of my account.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX of XXXX I got a car loan for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, from Credit Acceptance Corp. The loan was for approximately {$11000.00}. In XXXX of XXXX I was unable to pay for the loan anymore an contacted the company explaining my situation to them. I never received a reply back from them. Then several months later I contacted them a second time telling them to please come and take the car back I still could not afford the loan any longer and haven't been driving the vehicle it remained parked at my residence. Still I never heard back from them, they continued to ignore my requests. I've contacted them on 2 more occasions the most recent being in the beginning of XXXX, nearly 3 years from the point I first contacted them telling them to come and take the car back please. And I have still heard nothing from them and the vehicle still remains parked and not being driven. Just today, XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified by my credit monitoring company that Credit Acceptance Corp has reported new information to the credit bureaus about my loan. It turns out that have now reported this loan as being " re-opened '' with them ( it has been marked as closed for the last 3 years ) and they have nearly doubled the amount they claim I owe them. It went from {$11000.00} as a balance to now {$19000.00}. I have been pleading with this company to come and take the vehicle back now for nearly 3 years and all they do is ignore me. I'm positive they are ignoring me because they're just waiting for the vehicles value to continually depreciate over time.

Consumer Complaint: I got an alert from XXXX XXXX today that my credit score had dropped 109 points because XXXX XXXX had reported that I was 30 days late with a payment and owed {$630.00}. They have been reporting every month that I was on time and now this. I have been paying in this loan since XXXX and the only time I had a problem was in XXXX. My car was repossed, but I paid to get it back and have been on time since then. They only paid {$170.00} to have my car picked up and I paid them over {$500.00} to get it back, plus they were trying to collect another {$950.00} from me. Now they are claiming that in XXXX of XXXX my payment was returned and it wasn't replaced. That isn't true plus I asked them why they are waiting 27 months to report a problem. I asked them why they had not contacted me about this. I was told " we don't have to ''. I am sick of this company 's harassment and attitude. I only have XXXX payments, out of XXXX, left and they are trying to cause problems for me. I live in Social Security and can't pay more than my payment amount, pkus, they are doing this during the XXXX pandemic. They have to be stopped. I am trying desperately to keep this car, between, taxes, insurance and my payment it takes a lot of my available money.
