Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corporation has recently started displaying an account status of late 120 days on my credit report. This is incorrect as the account was previously reported as a repossession & was previously charged off. I have never received any response to validation of debt requests nor any response to this issue. The account is too old to be reported on my credit report according to Texas state law. This is my final attempt to resolve the issue before filing suit according to FCRA & the Texas Fair Debt collection act. I do not acknowledge this debt as I have never received validation.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with fees charged
Consumer Complaint: When my vehicle was purchased it was explained we had a 10 day grace period to make a payment. I do not receive a monthly statement and even the online portal shows nothing about payments or fees. However, after a lot of searching found out the company has no grace period and we have been charged an unspecified amount in late fees. I have XXXX clue how much of my balance is even fees due to a lack of statements.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: My XX/XX/XXXX credit score plunged 40 pts due to payment status changed to ( negative past 180 days for the period of over a year ) on Credit Acceptance reporting. Within a week I disputed with XXXX, XXXX, and Credit Acceptance including a copy XXXX report from both bureaus of on-time payments for the negative days recently reported. Credit Acceptance has been on-going with consistently changing to inaccurate information. XXXX has corrected information accordingly however, my XXXX report remains the same ; Dispute dates with both bureaus are XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Additional incorrect information on reporting as follows : REMARK added regarding late payments, Payment status, balance due and initial open date. My main concern at this point is the negative remark and invalid late payments reported. Balance due of {$450.00} increased by {$240.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, after receiving the previous dispute. I guess this was a retaliation? I refused to pay the {$450.00} because it was paid by XXXX XXXX XXXX, after an accident and the remainder balance was covered by GAP. Note : other documentation is available upon request and has been submitted to bureaus and debtor.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. In XXXX, me and my brother took a loan out for a car for my Mother. In XXXX, the car was totaled. After the insurance paid off part of the amount, Credit Acceptance said there was a balance of {$1000.00} on the account.
