Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance erroneously reported a late payment on my credit report. This has significantly impacted my life. I am unable to get approved for a mortgage. Credit acceptance has refused to remove off my credit after several disputes and complaints to the creditor and credit bureaus. They customer service I received regarding this matter was very rude and demeaning. I would never recommend this loan company. They falsely report information that affects a customers ability to obtain credit elsewhere. I would like the sirurisriin to be rectified by Credit Acceptance removing the false report of a late payment off my report immediately. I have supporting documentation that states I have paid on time each month. My payments are automatically drafted each month.

Consumer Complaint: When the COVID-19 pandemic first occurred I called the company, Credit Acceptance, when I first lost my job and they told me that the only thing that could be done for me is they would erase late payments. So as soon I as I received any financial assistance I made sure it was one of the first bills I took care of because it was showing up as a late account on my credit report. That was in XXXX. In XXXX the account was up to date. I kept checking my credit report and it has not been updated since XX/XX/XXXX. I have been in contact with them 4 different times and they have given me different answers every time. I called XX/XX/XXXX and they told me there was a freeze on my account and they were going to take it off so my credit would be reported on the XXXX on XXXX. I then received an email XX/XX/XXXX and it said they were not reporting until XX/XX/XXXX. Now they just told me I have to fill out a form to take the freeze off. I also have disputed this with each of the credit bureaus and they told me the information was accurate and nothing about a freeze.

It is set to fall off my credit report in XXXX. They also reported an older account fraudulently. They reported i made a payment in XXXX and i never did. It was the auctions payment they are counting as mine. Please help me i want to seek legal action if they do not fix this.

Consumer Complaint: As a consumer who is constantly mindful of my credit and payment for debts owed, I am deeply troubled by a communication dispute that has unfairly damaged my credit standing by nearly 70 points for the next seven ( 7 ) years. I have a loan with Credit Acceptance Corporation that began In XXXX of XXXX when I purchased a XXXX XXXX from a used car dealer. Two months later, in XXXX of XXXX, I signed up for Credit Acceptance Corporation 's auto-pay service, to assure prompt payments. Even though I had auto-pay, each month I received unnecessary mail from Credit Acceptance about the bill, advertising material, and offers. A year later, in XX/XX/XXXX, I called Credit Acceptance asking to GO PAPERLESS. They said they don't have Paperless. I replied that I don't need paper bills or offers from the company since I'm on auto-pay. The representative responded that they could stop communication, but I never had any understanding that I would never be notified under any circumstances. Late last summer ( XXXX ), I misplaced my ATM card at home. I phoned the bank asking to put a hold on it until I found it. XXXX insisted that the card be canceled. Though I found the card the next morning, the card was canceled. It was an otherwise minor event but could haunt me for the next 7 years. THIS IS GROSSLY UNFAIR. In XXXX of XXXX, when my ATM number didn't allow the payment to be pulled from my bank account, Credit Acceptance did nothing, and in XXXX they reported me as 30 days delinquent. This caused my CREDIT SCORE TO PLUMMET BY 70 POINTS. I found out from a credit reporting service I subscribe to and I quickly called Credit Acceptance and promptly paid them, as I have each month of the loan. Because the auto-pay was set up over a year back, I thought it pulled directly from my bank account, not through my ATM card. When I contacted Credit Acceptance Corporation, asking that they reverse the 30 days late on my credit reports, because they never notified me that the auto-payment did not pull from my bank account, they replied that on XX/XX/XXXX, I had requested a " Cease and Desist '' order, which I had never heard of. They can see that I'd never missed a payment, which is proof of the fact that it happened in error. After some online research, I learned that this " cease & desist, '' is usually used when a customer has a dispute with a company and the customer feels legally abused. In this case, why would someone with no problems with a company ask for a Cease & Desist order? I only wanted to go PAPERLESS and it has caused tremendous difficulty. Over the past 7 months, I have constantly reached out to Credit Acceptance, and to the 3 bureaus, only to be rebuffed by CreditAcceptance and given the " party line '' that I asked for no contact ( which I DID NOT ). This is a HUGE misunderstanding and the company 's policy should immediately be changed. Paperless and Never Contact me, are two grossly different requests. They must be decoupled in the Credit Acceptance rules & regs. This is a disservice to the company 's customers. Asking to be paperless is recommended in most company 's rules. A rule stating if you want to be paperless, the only option you have is to never be contacted under any circumstances is frankly asinine. What conscious corporation doesn't have a paperless option? Collaterally, I just re-signed up for automatic payment today, and their automated telephone payment services instructions state that you are signing up for notices and disclosures, which goes against their avowed " Cease & Desist '' rule, which I never asked for. I am asking once again, in the spirit of goodwill, for a customer who never missed a payment, please remove this 'error in communication caused, ' blemish from my credit report with the three bureaus. Certainly, Senator XXXX XXXX 's vision for Consumer Protection did not have this kind of outcome in mind. Rather than protect this consumer, Credit Acceptance is harming me, for no clear reason. Credit Acceptance employees are only following the Company 's rules, but these rules need immediate decoupling. WHY DON'T THEY OFFER PAPERLESS?! This is an ongoing nightmare. PLEASE HELP me TO GET THIS UNDESERVED NEGATIVE MARK OFF MY CREDIT REPORT. Consumer Complaint: I have a vehicle loan through Credit Acceptance. On XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX, I was involved in a accident that totaled my vehicle. I was not at fault, a lady had ran a red light and hit me. My insurance company ( XXXX ), on XX/XX/XXXX, paid Credit Acceptance in the amount of {$7900.00}, which shows cleared status. Credit Acceptance informed me that I still owed {$1700.00} ( and was sent to collections, even though I have not missed a payment and am in good standing ), which I made payment arrangements ( XX/XX/XXXX ) for {$100.00} a month. They offered me a payout of Little over {$800.00}, but I turned it down due to the negative impact it would have on my credit, I would rather pay it off. Credit Acceptance refuses to update my credit report and my online Credit Acceptance page to show accurate amount owed. They were paid {$7900.00} and I feel my credit should reflect that, they got a huge portion of there money and I am making payments on the remaining portion. By them not updating the correct info, it hurts my credit and makes it harder for me to purchase another vehicle ( which I need ). By updating my credit it would lower dept owed by more then {$7900.00} which to me is significant. I have call Credit Acceptance four times to try and get this issue fixed and they would not do it. I filed a dispute with XXXX. After there investigation, they in formed me that Credit Acceptance stated that the info was correct and that I still owe over {$10000.00} dollars. what kind of an investigation is that, when they just accept the word of a company, that's not an investigation. Its not right that these company 's can do this to people. I have made all my payments, I made arrangement 's to pay off the remaining balance, which I have been true to the agreement. Buy updating my credit to show actual amount owed XXXX true amount ) that helps me to move on and help with getting another vehicle. Right now, my credit gets pulled and all they see is, I owe another company {$10000.00}, which is not true.

Consumer Complaint: Credit acceptance has been reporting late payments to the credit bureau even though I've paid those months on time. I've reached out several times and they refuse to help me. I had an incident last XXXX when I updated my debit card information on their website and it failed to come out. I have my bank statements showing that I had the funds available. I've been paying XXXX a month since then and not once did they mark me late. Fast forward XX/XX/2020they started marking me late for a past due balance. They not once called me and said I was behind. This company is fraudulently marking my account as past due. Please make them correct this. I have all the documents to prove it too.

Consumer Complaint: I am a joint owner in this lian with my niece. Payments were behind with Credit Acceptance XXXX XXXX XXXX Mi XXXX. The account charged off in 2018 we were sued and payment arrangements were made with the attorney. It looks like the charge off was reversed and it is appearing as an open delinquent account on my credit bureau. I never received a notice that this was going to be done. I thought once an account was charged off that it remained as such unless an error was made by the creditor.
