Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem while selling or giving up the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I was making payments on vehicle, vehicle was inoperative and unable to drive. Filled chapter XXXX and was making payment to courts to pay loan off. During the process a roommate took my truck and it broke down in the middle of the road as the transmission was going bad and this person was told not to drive. I was unable to retrieve vehicle from tow yard and loan company repossessed vehicle. Then they left vehicle at tow yard and did not even try to sell to recoup some of the money owed. At the time of the repossession the vehicle had a acv of less than XXXX. I had already paid over XXXX and now they are reporting late payments to the credit agencies and causing a great strain on my credit rating. I feel if they never tried to recoup their money from selling vehicle than how do they know how much I owe? It could have sold for a few XXXX and my balance would have been manageable.

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with this issue since XXXX of 2020 when I paid off my car. I spoke with XXXX at CAC yesterday as well as a few weeks ago and she advised me that CAC reports MONTHLY to all of the credit burreaus. I called XXXX ( I pay for the service, it's not through a third party like XXXX XXXX ) and it shows that they have not updated my credit file since XXXX of 2020. I've contacted them severly times regarding this, asking for clarification on why it wasn't reported, ask to speak to a supervisor to which I'm sent to collections even though my account is paid and full and closed and I get told there is no credit reporting department contact number, no headquarters number and I just have to wait. I have submitted TWO inaccurate credit report documents from CAC 's website. Both of which are " lost '' and they just sent me out another one. I then filed a dispute directly with XXXX containing the Paid in Full, lien electronically released letter from CAC and XXXX went to CAC to confirm the information and CAC told them that I was past due XXXX and 90-120 days late on payments which is inaccurate. I want this addressed ASAP and I would like CAC to be fined for FCRA violations and my credit filed updated ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: This account was opened fraudulently on XX/XX/2014 and is left with the balance of {$5400.00}. I've since filed identity theft, sent off a notarized dispute letter with an affidavit, and I'm now filing a complaint as the discrepancy remains reflective on my report.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance keeps lowing me credit score by reporting a closed account as open. Its for a vehicle i dont even have anymore. I have not made a payment since 2017. I dont have this vehicle anymore. They keep reporting this account in my revolving accounts. I am over 1000 days late. They report im on 120 days late. The account is open and i dont have the vehicle. If this account is open where is the truck?? Why dont i have the truck. They need to be stopped. This is ruining my life. I want to be compensated for all this. I want to seek legal action. The account should be closed. And if they cant fix it and do whats right i am going to have them prosecuted. They were sued for the same things in the past. They are fraudulently reporting this on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Since the covid19 credit acceptance has been wrongly reporting false things in my account. Im effected by the covid19 and theyre suppose to submit that to the credit bureaus but theyre not. Theyre putting delinquencies on my credit report which makes it look like its my fault the world has corona virus. Inaccurate remarks on my credit report lowered my score by 120 points. Theyre were order by the government not to report any foul or delinquencies to the credit bureaus and they still are. Theyre doing it to all if there customers to force a payment when the world is shutdown. I already discussed this with the three credit bureaus and won. Some higher entity needs to check credit acceptance as company. Many Americans are out of work and have no ways to get nothing. We didnt create corona virus. This is fraud and illegal and legal actions need to be taken rapidly.
