Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance had illegally reposessed my truck numerous times. for only being 30 days late. i spoke to lawyer and paid to get it back. with his advice to record any conversations that i had if things went wrong with them again. Immediately i had issues. it took me 9 days to get back my truck from the day i paid. I am convinced they sold it an auction and it took that long to get it back. I recorded the conversation to credit acceptance and the company that had not called me back in 7 days from payment. i did get it back and credit acceptance gave me a grace period of 2 weeks to pay the payments. so XX/XX/XXXX th payment is no due on the XXXX XXXX i paid 10 perfect months after this paying their XXXX ridiculous repo fee on top of my XXXX payment. i made 10 perfect payments up until XXXX XXXX then they illegally turned the truck off on labor day of XX/XX/XXXX. I thought the alternator wen tout and rented a car until they called me on XX/XX/XXXX. They threatened me to repo and claimed they turned it off because of non payment. XXXX payment is not due until XX/XX/XXXX. i recorded this and told them i was. they said i have to pay another repo fee XXXX for 10 months. and threatened to repo it again.. I told her it is not late and if you do i will buy a new one since my credit is XXXX again. and i will get a lawyer to come after them. I told her i have had to rent a car and can not make a payment over the phone. I said i will not have XX/XX/XXXX payment until the XX/XX/XXXX. because since they have turned off my truck.. i had to rent a car. i will make the payment on XX/XX/XXXX. i work nights afternoon swing/shift and i will wake up about XXXX XX/XX/XXXXand make the payment for XXXX and XXXX XXXX and i will be a 2 months ahead.. since XXXX will not be due until XX/XX/XXXX. she said she will not promise me anything. and i told her if you repo again i will fight and not pay. They did repossess the truck on XX/XX/XXXX at about XXXX ; XXXX XXXX.. i woke up got coffee after pulling a double at XXXX XXXX and watched as my truck was illegally repossessed.. at that point XXXX payment was only 6 days late. Now i went to show my step father that i had made 10 perfect payments on their website and XXXX XXXX i used to monitor. and they changed the payments on their site and had posted on XXXX XXXX ... XX/XX/XXXX account closed due to repossession. with a o balance.. i took screen shots.. and according to their eternal documents they submitted to garnish my wages for the last XXXX they state that the filed it repo on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX after they got off the phone with me. illegal.. they have claimed i made late payment in XXXX i provided statement to prove this is lie.. i have screen shots from their own payment website and XXXX XXXX receipts of payments made on time all the way up to XXXX XXXX so they illegally repossessed the truck immediately lower my score down 82 points. and have ruined my credit since XXXX XXXX i have fought this buy disputing to the bureau 's and they just place it back.,. but i have documents and voice recordings I want to send to you.. i have sent to the 3 bureua 's fighting this. they have closed the account twice and credit acceptance still kills my score and continues to file false malicious remarks and lies onto my credi t. like the truck/account is still in repossession.,. i have tried to get a newer car since and they have ruined my chance. oi have letter s from my credit union stating they can not help me due to the info credit acceptance has placed on my score. I need help and i am going to sue them.. this is against the original contract and they have ruined my credit making false reports and these are malicious accounts/reports. they know what they are doing and purposely killing me chance of normal life again.. since everything is based on credit score now.. i have quotes for insurance that are XXXX for basic cover on a XXXX car, .. because of my score. and what they have done to me..They presented false doc 's to gain they garnishment and i have paid to get all the docs presented and the paid to get the transcripts for the first time i wen tot court and the judge know s they lied and said they could not notify me. they said the address is not an existing address. which is bs and the judge looked back thru the docs and seen this.. i said your honor this is where i have lived for the last 3 yrs. and where they repossessed the truck from.. I am getting garnished and my lawyer could not make it in XX/XX/XXXX when i tried to fight this when they garnished me again/. i have lost 2 jobs. and i am fighting to get all my debt paid off. I am there and this is the last thing on my credit.. i have not been able to hire a lawyer, since they have ruined my score to get a loan and they are currently garnishing my wages. i have paid over XXXX in the last year in garnishment pay and should have paid this off. i have 4 -5 different credit reports i have paid to pull and get copies showing their lies and i had those payments mad on time and that they repossessed the truck illegally and then sold it again XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX so i never had the 30 chance to get it back anyway. everything they have done shows they can not report their own eternal reports correct and they should not be allowed to report on anyone 's credit due to inaccurate and false reports. again i have their own docs on this loan showing they had continued to make mistakes and correct their own report.. meanwhile they are excessively turning off my truck? / also trying to charge me for late fees and all re corrected later. I have the proof and need help.. can you have some one contact me to help.. Everything they have done is against the " Fair Credit Act '' and has ruined my life for the last 3 plus years. i have more doc 's and proof but not going to send everything.. If the cfwb calls me and or will meet i will provide everything.. i can not upload all my proof. i also have statements from XXXX XXXX that i hired and has confirmed the many false reports by Credit Acceptance.

Consumer Complaint: This company randomly modified my credit account as open and currently late on payments from an account I am no longer associated with after 6 yrs. After trying to resolve this issue also with transunion they updated my credit report with more outdated information. This account is closed as should reflected as such on my report I have been a victim of TransUnion and Credit Acceptance this issue needs to be fixed. They think they can put whatever they want on your report true or not. I will no longer be a victim and I am filing a complaint with every agency available until I get satisfactory results. Period. Consumer Complaint: My FICO score dramatically decreased due to credit acceptance Corp reporting 30 days past due on my account. Their system reflects I paid XXXX payment XX/XX/20 when in fact it was paid XX/XX/20 at XXXX XXXX eastern time. I disputed with credit bureau and made numerous attempts to reach them to attempt a goodwill deletion to no avail. The payment was not more than 30 days due to the pandemic I tried my best to pay on time and in the 45 months thus far with my loan I have never been late. I have 7 months left and asked them to please resolve this as I consider myself a good customer they simply added a natural disaster code on my report which did absolutely nothing for my score. I believe my payment did not reach the new billing cycle and their reporting is not correct and based on my payment history they should work with me. I will have paid them XXXX for a car that was only XXXX due to high interest rates however I never complained and have always paid them every month and not they will not help me in a time where the whole country is struggling.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sirs, I am in receipt of your letter dated XX/XX/XXXX to the CFPB, and subsequently allowed thirty ( 30 ) days to expire with hopes Credit Acceptance Corporation ( CAC ) would correct the inaccurate information it knowingly reported to all three credit bureaus. Thirty days has since past, and I would like to address the falsehoods reported in your letter. In your letter you state CAC has been actively pursuing collection of the above-referenced account. However, referencing a CAC letter I received in XXXX, and furthermore attached page 8 of my XXXX report, page 2 of my XXXX report and lastly, page 3 of my XXXX report contradicts your statement. The attached credit reports display this account to-date has been charged-off for nearly 4 or more years now, and no collection activity has not been reported up until recently. Your company maliciously, unethically, and illegally reported credit activity for no other reason to my belief, but to cause damage to my credit profile. As a Creditor, you are fully aware your company has a duty to conform with all Federal and State regulations in regards to credit reporting. As well as reporting accurate, up-to-date, and truthful information. With this letter, and under the guidelines of Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am requesting CAC remove this account from my credit report with all three credit reporting bureaus immediately, no longer than 30-days of the date of this letter. Consumer Complaint: This complaint is involving Credit Acceptance, I called them regarding my payments, all payments are up to date now. They reported 30 day late payments for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. My payments were late due to COVID, I expressed that to the company and they assured me they would freeze my account and there would be no marks that would report negative. I need this fixed on my credit report as Im getting turned down for auto refinancing and an approval for mortgage on a new home. I have documentation to prove this was COVID related. I was quarantined for 14 days and was still sick. I took a leave due to the fact there were several cases that were reported and I was afraid for my health
