Consumer Complaint: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE IS THE WORST! Tennessee law requires that your lender send you a 10-day letter after it has repossessed your car. This letter is official notice that youre entitled to redeem the vehicle by paying off the loan, plus fees and costs associated with the repossession. You then have 10 days to come up with the money, and your lender cant sell the car until after this redemption period has passed. Predatory lending is any lending practice that imposes unfair or abusive loan terms on a borrower. It is also any practice that convinces a borrower to accept unfair terms through deceptive, coercive, exploitative or unscrupulous actions for a loan that a borrower doesn't need, doesn't want or can't afford. Prepayment penalties plus they made my note seem cheap just to add unnecessary charges and taxes when I tried to pay. When I extra and paid on time I was still marked as late. AND LITERALLY NOTHING WENT TO MY ACTUAL BALANCE. My car stopped working two days after I got it, I notified them. They wouldnt do anything about it or defer at least one payment. When I finally got it back working. The ALTERNATOR AND STARTER WENT OUT ON A 2014! I told them that this goes against LEMON LAWS ( literally the same week I got my car ) I WAS PAYING A NOTE ON A CAR I COULDNT USE FOR TWO MONTHS!! The MOTOR WAS BAD. They gave me the car and supposedly it had a oil change. WHY WAS BLACK TAR COMING OUT. The pieces connect to the oil container were melted on and the piece had to be broken off at XXXX. Over {$600.00} for the replacements. they wouldnt give me the info to do a LEMON LAW claim so I mailed it to them! Which is what the state says to do to claim lemon laws and they are supposed to forward it. They failed to notify me of selling the car ( AFTER I TRIED TO GET IT BACK the next day!! because I put a lot of money into it AND THEY WOULDNT GIVE IT BACK ) which is required BY LAW. I literally had the cash amount to pay it off from a school refund. They told me if I paid it off early I would have to pay a lot extra ( prepayment fees ) Their loans are so predatory! My interest kept changing. They sold my car while I was trying to get it back and literally didnt notify me that the sold it. Not even a letter in the mail! Not to mention, when I called to get deferred because the XXXX WAS NOT WORKING. The lady asked me why did you get a car if you dont have money to fix it then I said maam could we keep it professional and she cursed me out. I hung up and called back. Only had one nice man that I would talk to! This company is THE WORSE COMPANY I EVER EXPERIENCED. Now they wont settle with me or delete it off my credit when its not my fault and I tried to reconcile! YOU SOLD ME A XXXX AND WOULD NOT LET ME DO A CLAIM OR GIVE IT BACK. I lost my job messing with that car A GOOD JOB. I got the car on XX/XX/XXXX, it stopped on XX/XX/XXXX. Got it fixed and it stopped completely in XXXX In total I have put more than $ 2k in the car

I just wan na pit the debt i do owe into one consolidated payments to make payments on them off. Im raising all four of my grandkids and i have 3 daughters living at home. Consumer Complaint: My credit reports that I made two late payments in the month of XXXX & XXXX off 2020. Ive never paid my car note 30 days late. Ive continually made my monthly payments before 30 days. Credit Acceptance is reporting that I made two 30 day late payments which is false. I have documentation that I never missed a Payment, I notified them of this error 5 times and I also mailed a certified letter requesting such request. This error on my credit report has cause me serious credit issues, I was in the process of purchasing a home and now I ca one cause of this. I am not happy with this company

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I have sent certified letter Credit Acceptance # XXXX about this account. I have requested Validation of Debt, which they have never provided and I'm not familiar with this account. There has not been a payment made on this account in over 12 months ; therefore, account should be reported as Charge-Off / Written Off. The account say ACTIVE AND OPEN. It's against the law to lie to investors stating you have open accounts when you really don't. Therefore, CFPB may want to look into Credit Acceptance as well. Please remove this from my credit report ( s ) ASAP! As I have requested information and it was never provide and it's been over 35-60 days. I have the certified mail receipt if required as well.

Consumer Complaint: This company is reporting an unverified account on my credit report.I received information from you attempting to collect the above-listed alleged debt. Your initial communication to me of the alleged-debt was within 30 days ago. Please be further advised, I dispute the validity of the alleged debt in its entirety. Further I request verification of the alleged debt, including, the name and address of the original creditor, along with a copy of a signed contract with the creditor. Additionally any attempts to harm my credit history and rating by updating or changing dates after you have been informed that the debt is expired, is a direct violation of the FDCPA. Any abuse to my credit rating on your part will be met with all recourse available to me by the law. You are illegally attempting to collect an alleged debt and money that I do not owe. As per the law, cease and desist all collection activity, including credit reporting. i disputed this debt with the credit bureaus and it came back verified i have since then contacted the company and haven't received a response. Where are the documents that your company used to verify that you are reporting these accounts accurately? What is the name of the person in your company who verified the accuracy of this account? What documents did they use to verify them? Please provide me with the name of that individual, their company title, and telephone number as well as copies of the documents that they used to verify that this disputed item are being reported accurately.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2020 was reported as a late payment. I sent a certified letter via USPS to the creditor and received a response back stating the information reported was valid and no further action required. The information reported was inaccurate. The customer service rep stated that It as reported as late but they had no explaination for the late payment. I as told that this payment was report as late for something that an paid over 3-4 years ago. I asked for a payment statement and it shows I have not missed any payments in the last 2 years

Consumer Complaint: starting last year I noticed that my vehicle finance company was showing me as missing and or being late on payments that did not add up. I sent inquiries via the email portal on their website and I never got a response. The information on my credit report is not accurate or up to date. The account is actually closed now " paid in full '' and it still shows me as having a balance on my credit report. When i contacted the company they claimed that everything is correct, but it is not. I have done the disputes through XXXX XXXX and they have come back the same and nothing is being done to correct the wrong information nor have they updated showing that the account is paid in full. I need help and or guidance on how to force them to update my account as paid in full, and remove some of if not all of the negative marks on my account and credit report since they never provided me with information showing when I was late or what payment I had totally missed ... I mean, if I had missed 18 payments on a vehicle ... it would have been repossessed. The name of the company is Credit acceptance.

Consumer Complaint: When the vehicle was repossessed and then sold at an auction. I was not given any information as to where or when the auction was taking place nor given any written letter giving me a chance to redeem the vehicle. Once vehicle was sold they tried to still report the whole amount owed on the vehicle u set my credit report vs updating the amount left after the vehicle was sold. I have requested multiple times including filed a legal notarized FCRA dispute forms to all 3 credit bureaus to provide all the original documents proving they have followed the legal steps after the vehicle was repossessed and have not wrongfully reported incorrect information but have not received anything in over 60 days as the documents I sent gave a 30 day notice to do so or delete. They have failed to follow any and all request for proof and original documents. They have reported inaccurate information to the credit bureaus and are trying to have me still pay full amount after they have sold the vehicle and received money for it. I have tried to talk with them over the phone and received very hostile conversations with the representatives.
