Consumer Complaint: I had a vehicle that I had voluntarily repossessed in XXXX from Credit Acceptance Corporation because I fell on hard times and could not pay for the vehicle. Fast forward to today and I am trying to get a small home loan for like {$75000.00} and that is the only thing on my report preventing us from getting a home loan. This debt is being improperly reported as late payments instead of a charge-off which is how it is supposed to be reported. Please help, as in getting a home loan, it will help me get a lower monthly payment for living and then I can pay off more debts owed with the extra money I will be saving on rent vs. owning. Consumer Complaint: I submitted a complaint on this website in XXXX. I received correspondence with how I would like for this to be resolved. I received my points back but the late payment still applies on my report. This is the complaint. Credit acceptance stated that on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX that did a auto pay for my car loan and the bank rejected it. I provided documentation that money was in my account and that the bank never rejected any money nor was a freeze on my card. The bank rep stated that CA most likely made an error because they would not have rejected my payment. Ive had this loan since XXXX and have not been late. This company has no compassionate even during a pandemic. I owe almost XXXX on this car loan. I need for them to to take responsibility to their error. I thought it was paid because all of my auto pays automatically are paid with no issue. CA notified me at the end of XXXX to tell me that payment was not received. I immediately paid worth the same card. I need for this late payment to be removed. Im trying to avoid lawyer and court fees but thats the next step.

I recently discovered through my new monitoring service this account being reported I made efforts to remove this account from my file as the amount of {$830.00} does not belong to me. This account was fraudulently opened through this company CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORPORATION in XXXX of 2016 an has been reported to the FTC and authorities as Identity theft. My information was stolen and utilized by someone else claiming to be me utilizing whatever tools needed to acquire ( SOME FORM OF LOAN ) In I have submitted all of my personal information needed to resolve this matter in this complaint and through the FTC report attached and do not feel comfortable giving any further information in any way to any others at this time due to the further possibilities of identity theft. Consumer Complaint: My credit score was at XXXX in XXXX, but as of XX/XX/XXXX it dropped immensely down to XXXX, i didn't understand why. I called the XXXX Headquarters first to inquire what was going on, she walked me through to log in an see my credit report, there i saw among other creditors " Credit Acceptance Inc '' ( regarding the car I am currently paying on each month ) had X 's XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ; which indicate according to the Chart marked as UNKNOWN. I do recall a time where i had called Credit Acceptance concerned about missing a payment due to this crazy Covid19 going on, but i managed to pull off the payment and make it anyway. And have continued to pay this lender ea month on time without any problem. What i couldn't understand was why the X 's?, So i dug up all my bank statements from XXXX XXXX and XXXX, all put together showed I paid from XXXX up to XX/XX/XXXX on time and they all cleared. I immediately contacted the XXXX of Michigan as this creditor was based out of this state and informed them of their error, I made the huge mistake of giving my number out, i never gave this bank " Credit Acceptance '' my number because just knowing from a few phone calls with them, their reps came across as squirrely and aloof, it wouldn't be long before they would begin calling my phone, and i surely was never giving my job number out cause i didn't need their goofiness calling them and getting me into serious trouble, they had my email address for contact if they ever needed to reach me, that was good enough - so i thought but it wasn't. XX/XX/XXXX i made a complaint with the XXXX of Michigan about these X 's marked as UNKNOWN payments, which i can back up easily, when the XXXX. called my phone i was XXXX behind the XXXX of an XXXX XXXX, not cool at all, i cant be discussing a problem they created taking my focus of the road, XXXX was responsible for causing this. Yes I roared at them for doing it, chewed them up and spit them out. The next thing i know is, i get a message from XXXX supposedly having an answer of explanation of the XXXX XXXX X 's in payments showing, what they had sent was this copy of an electronical contract i had signed with XXXX XXXX in XXXX Wisconsin when i bought the XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX where i was charged XXXX XXXX dollars, pretty stiff if you ask me for 9 yr old car that i have had to pour money into for repairs. My response to this ignorant act was simple, The contract had nothing to do with them not recording payment as usually its marked with an OK over Green background. I responded rudely back telling bother parties that this contract was irrelevant to the payments marked UNKNOWN with an X, it was like throwing it up in my face what i had agreed too. Duh! I get an email back from a XXXX ( assuming this was from XXXX. ) apologizing for calling my phone or giving out my number. Any hoo I have photo copies of the Credit Report which to this day they have not corrected and i don't see them doing so. So I am withholding any further payment, covid19 response or not, i still managed to make the payments per agreement however they chose not to keep the reporting up right. And here i am on my 10 hour break when i should be resting, writing a complaint to another possible dead end. So i am going to make this EZ. Just have them come get the car and mark me as DEFAULT, DONT TRUST, BAD INVESTMENT XXXX XXXX XXXX, i dont care at this point, Id rather save up and Pay in full for a new car without all this XXXX. All this car has done is cost me money in repairs from 2 new batteries drained dry in less then a year, a new alternator, heater coils cleaned out to receive heat to defrost and warm the car, engine problems, clogged gas throat problems which prevented gas entering into the tank, that had to be cleared out, what i ended up buying was a sick car in need of more repairs then its worth of XXXX grand which these cars are not worth XXXX grand! So with that said the following info is yours do what ever i'm walking away from this kindergarten game being played.

XXXX XXXX sent payment to Credit Acceptance. The car was paid off but Credit Acceptance continues to report negative information on my credit report. I have called them to ask them to update the report and they told me they don't handle the credit reporting. As of today 's date the information is still inaccurate and the balance is inaccurate. I had Gap insurance to cover the balance but they will not update it.

Consumer Complaint: Good evening, and how are you? This is going on for almost 90 days and i haven't received any responses from my previous disputes about this Credit Acceptance. This account was actually deleted or removed from XXXX and XXXX due to several violations on reporting but XXXX continues to ignore my request for deletion. It's illegally re-aging my account because it's reporting incomplete, unverifiable, and inaccurate information. There is no way that this could've been verified or looked into. Again, Im not sure who to take this to anymore, but Ive disputed this account several times with both the original creditor and the credit reporting agencies accordingly and Ive attached everything to support my dispute. However, I continue to received a pre-template letter sent to me that its been verified and it REMAINS. How is it possible that this was verified if you continue to report incomplete, inconsistent, inaccurate, and unverifiable information on this account and a thorough and in-dept investigation. Ive disputed and I havent received anything as such, but it continues to be reported in violation of the consumer laws. Continues to report wrong balance, incorrect date of first delinquency, wrong date of last active, inconsistent payment status, high balance and actual balance is questionable, etc. I believe that section 609 of FCRA also allows me to ask for detail information about the account and how you indeed investigated and your detail process. Im extremely upset and shocked about the way this charge-off account is reporting on my credit report which continues to report with incomplete, inconsistent and unverifiable Info. How can you honestly say that you verified as it being accurate? This was NOT verified! I am requesting this investigation under the authorization of the Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 623. ( a ) ( 8 ) ability of consumer to dispute information directly with the furnisher. What I am disputing : The account you have reported to the three credit bureaus. My basis for this dispute is that I have no knowledge of this account.
