Consumer Complaint: Credit acceptance has fraudulently reported this debt back and fourth as closed and charged off account on my credit report each time I dispute for update with different credit bureau credit acceptance reports different information going from closed account to account charged off which had destroyed my credit on a debt that's been reported closed and charged credit acceptance didn't want to take responsibility for the damages that the vehicle had during a repo when. I picked up vehicle it was leaking gas and could not be driven off the lot vehicle was towed to XXXX XXXX XXXX where credit acceptance spoke with 3rd party released my account information and have promise mechanic payment for damages credit acceptance was confirmed responsible for damages in transportation of vehicle when finally repaired no on one wanted me to have the vehicle for months I needed my vehicle to get back to work XXXX XXXX XXXX kept vehicle almost one year only consultanting directly to credit acceptance where they released my account information with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Credit acceptance made negotiation with XXXX XXXX XXXX without me and retrieve vehicle from XXXX XXXX credit acceptance robbed me of my life my job the vehicle my credit when they made me pay for a vehicle undrivable from then I called corporate to investigate they close investigation without merit or concerns that vehicle wasn't drivable upon being redeemed although I was advised before arriving vehicle was drivable credit acceptance took my money for car and as a result I was never able to drive that vehicle credit was destroyed my credit job lost with no vehicle and my life set back by credit acceptance not honoring they're mission they also released my account information to XXXX XXXX XXXX and spoke to them and not me about holding on to the vehicle which prevented me from having any use of the vehicle after one year they made a deal with XXXX XXXX XXXX and did not honor the customer credit acceptance picked up vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX which has all this information has been monitored and recorded and the information pertaining to this account I want this account remove and updated properly my family and credit has suffered enough at this point this account has fraudulent activity all over it credit acceptance needs to take accountability and responsibilities for the damages of vehicle disclosure of my account information to 3rd party and still charging me as if this account isn't reported as charged off this entire account was fraud on credit acceptance behalf of my credit

Consumer Complaint: I co-signed on the loan to help a friend in XX/XX/XXXX. When I co-signed I was assured by the financing company that I would only stay on the loan for 6 months. The car company explained that I were only needed to lower the interest rate & that I would be removed from the account. They never removed me but I also had no knowledge that they didnt remove me until the repossession of the car. My friend told me that she called them & explained her situation with finances. They assured her that they would work with her. The car started breaking down but the company refused to help get it fixed & the car was still under warranty during this time frame.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I co signed on a car loan through credit acceptance. But in XXXX to my understanding XX/XX/XXXX I believe it was voluntarily repossessed by the other applicant. During that time the car was sold at auction and the balance to my understanding was left at XXXX. I have NEVER been contacted by credit acceptance until I reached out XXXX of this year and asked why not only was I NOT notified about the XXXX it had accumulated in interest charges but when I asked what I could do to get it taken off my credit I was told they could take it off for XXXX that same day or I could finance another car with them. I tried to get answers as to why I was never contacted about the debt and all I was told is they reached out. The only proof I was sent was a copy of the original contact. Im very upset because they have also updated my credit report several times with incorrect information in order for it to look like a new debt and allow more time for them to force me to pay whatever amount they ask. All Im asking is for someone to review the information. I am entitled to know of any debt in my name within a timely matter. They shouldnt be allowed to wait 5 years and then ask me to pay XXXX and never give me a chance to confirm the debt or allow me to make payment arrangements when the debt is in collections from XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I'm a victim of " Predatory Lending '' with Credit Acceptance. Credit Acceptance is under a Federal Class Action law suit ( Case XXXX ) with there investors as they keeping accounts " OPEN '' that are really should " CLOSED '' like mines to inflate stock position and deceiving investors ... In addition, to illegal DEBT COLLECTION practices and placing customers in loans they knew that could not be repaid and charge " usurious '' interest rates that violated state laws. All this information is displayed in attached documentation ( if not to large to add ). Originally Credit Acceptance was requesting to {$3500.00} to settle this account and now XXXX XXXX XXXX which is representing Credit Acceptance is requesting ~ {$13000.00} to settle this account. I'm requested this account be removed from credit report as they have violated Fair Credit Act & Fair Debt Collections Practices.

Filed over 7 disputes not to Allow credit Acceptance to report and inaccuracies because we're still in legislation and it's truly damaging my chance to be able to purchase my first home ... XXXX vs CREDIT ACCEPTANCE as of XX/XX/2020 Block isnt in effect at All! Still reporting doing so much damage..and it's not helping to keep filling disputes after dispute I been fighting and complaining to no end..I been turned down for approval because of Credit Acceptance still reporting after Block was added as of XXXX 2020 Thank u

Consumer Complaint: My problem is with XXXX XXXX XXXX, not Credit Acceptance Corporation. The car dealership was completely in the wrong and should make this right. Details below : On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for credit at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TN. I received a call from XXXX XXXX the same day informing me they could get me approved with {$2500.00} down. XXXX was informed I had a co-signer if it would make things any easier or better for me and I was told no. On XX/XX/XXXX I made an apt with XXXX XXXX to come in and purchase a vehicle. Upon arriving at XXXX I was met by XXXX XXXX and XXXX introduced him to be my salesperson. I informed XXXX of exactly what I was looking for, informed him that XXXX had given me specific cars to look at as she told me nothing older than a XXXX & nothing more than XXXX miles. I told XXXX safety was a huge thing for me as I have a XXXX-year-old who was also accompanying me that day. I looked at 2 vehicles and picked the one that I really loved. 30 minutes later XXXX came to me and took me outside to show me a different vehicle and that the payments on the vehicle of choice were going to be super expensive. I asked how expensive and was told " very expensive ''. I did not like the vehicle XXXX showed me & asked if there was anything else and XXXX acted as if this was my only option ; almost as if I was bugging him wanting to see more vehicles. After a while of looking around myself I finally found XXXX XXXX, the finance manager myself and asked him my options because my options could not just be 1 vehicle. He told me how much my payments would be on some vehicles but nothing really about the vehicles but told me XXXX would take care of that- XXXX never did. I was told the payment on my vehicle of choice was around XXXX so I did go with a different vehicle and the listed price of the 2nd vehicle was XXXX. I was having a lot of trouble making up my mind and asked again the price of the vehicle of choice and was told this time it was XXXX a month ( it changed in 10 minutes ). I decided to go with the 2nd vehicle based on payments alone. After making my decision I went into XXXX XXXX 's office for paperwork. I expected this process to be like any other car I have purchased but XXXX really turned a screen toward me and on every page said sign here, sign here, sign here, sign here, sign here. There was absolutely no disclosure that I was purchasing anything additional. I was an idiot for signing but this should not have happened and I do not want it happening to anyone else. While signing my life away I asked XXXX multiple times about gas, the car being cleaned up, etc and was told XXXX was taking care of that. I was walked to my car and XXXX took care of absolutely nothing ; there was 90 miles to empty and the car was in the same condition it was when I test drove it. I got home that night and read all of my paperwork because it still did not feel right. I was charged for a deluxe extended warranty without given that option or disclosure. I was charged for GAP insurance without given that option or disclosure. I was charged for Roadside Assistance without given the option. I called my finance company only to find out all of these were optional and I this was to be disclosed as well as my options in loan terms, interest rates, etc. Absolutely none of this was explained to me, disclosed to me or even offered as an option. I immediately text XXXX XXXX asking about returning the car because I did the math myself and if it I was given all the options I could have afforded my car of choice. It is XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to get a text back from XXXX XXXX. My mother knew the owner of the car lot and thought she would call and speak to him on XX/XX/XXXX and he informed her of what I wanted & needed as if I was some helpless woman incapable of making my own decisions. My mother even felt intimidated and left it at that. The night of XX/XX/XXXX I left a XXXX review and instantly received a message from " XXXX '' who basically told me he would do whatever he could to resolve the situation. I informed XXXX of everything I just put in this. He said " the car wash and gas is an easy fix but what would you like to see happen '' I told XXXX XXXX wanted them to do what was right. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a text from XXXX saying I signed the paperwork and everything was disclosed to me. I informed XXXX that it was not and the finance manager was too busy watching the football game and my XXXX year old was sitting right there to witness the entire transaction. I messaged XXXX later to see if there was any resolution, fuel, taking the vehicle back and doing what is right, them cleaning up the car, putting the floor mats in it that were left out etc, and noticed XXXX had then blocked me from any more communication.

Consumer Complaint: Status and information is incorrect. Credit Acceptance was granted a judgement against me for the balance of my loan in 2015. The debt is 7 years old but they just recently started reporting new late payments to credit reporting agencies. The company agreed to settle the account and remove the debt from my credit reports after the settlement was paid. I paid the amount agreed upon in a lump sum but account has remained on my Credit Reports.
