Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Fraudulent loan
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I financed a car through Credit Acceptance Corp. The final sales price was {$7900.00}. The car was involved in an auto accident in XXXX. XXXX my insurance company determined the car totaled. As a result XXXX paid off the value of the car. When XXXX contacted Credit Acceptance to request for payoff balance, Credit Acceptance increased the total price or balance and then charged me the difference. They then proceeded to file a judgement against me for the balance that was inflated. I have all the documents to attach to support this statement. My credit report shows that there were no late payments that would have increase the amount of the car. My loan document, and the letter that Credit Acceptance sent to XXXX. Please review my claim and assist me in escalating this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I had an arrangement with Credit Acceptance starting in XXXX that I could pay a lessor amount for the month until XXXX when I sold my house. They accepted the offer. Then in XXXX I sold my house and paid the ENTIRE balance of the account. Then XX/XX/XXXX they reported the entire balance of {$13000.00} delinquent. Then on XX/XX/XXXX they reported another delinquent amount of {$310.00} giving me two hits on my credit report when the account has been paid off for almost a month. I contacted them and they said they couldn't resolve my request unless I put it in writing. So this is my request in writing to resolve the issue.

Consumer Complaint: I have filed complaints with XXXX and XXXX about my credit report from credit acceptance. XXXX is reporting-as XXXX XXXX the original balance is {$11000.00} and credit acceptance statement the original balance is {$19000.00}. XXXX is reporting the balance owed as XXXX XXXX {$7500.00}. XXXX is reporting my date of last payment of XXXX XXXX of only a {$170.00} in XX/XX/XXXX I made two payments XX/XX/XXXX {$170.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$170.00} for a total of {$340.00}. Past due amount from XXXX is {$1200.00} credit acceptance charged me $ XXXX is reporting that my first late payment was XXXX XXXX but credit acceptance reported that it was paid on time.XXXX is reporting the loan amount {$11000.00} credit acceptance initial balance is {$19000.00} XXXX is reporting on XXXX XXXX the balance owed is {$7000.00} I dont know what the balance is I even get different amounts from credit acceptance.XXXX is reporting the past due amount as {$1500.00} dollars I just paid the past due amount to credit acceptance {$1400.00}. XXXX is stating I have over 19 late payments XXXX states I have 36 late payments. The late payments are based on the past due amount which was supposed to be backed up to the end of the loan payment. If I pay my payments online to credit acceptance on the XX/XX/XXXXof the month then credit acceptance will generate a date and conformation with the XX/XX/XXXX of the month.I reported the inaccurate information to XXXX XXXX and they immediately deleted credit acceptance from my credit report.I believe credit acceptance reports out the initial loan at {$11000.00} instead of the actual amount of {$19000.00} because on XXXX XXXX the Massachusetts Attorney General office filed a lawsuit against credit acceptance that they made subprime auto loans to Massachusetts consumers which I would have although I dont live in that state.I also sent original loan contract to credit agency

Consumer Complaint: Purchased a vehicle thru Credit Acceptance, Payments on the XXXX of the month, once i found this out I called them and told them I need payments on the XXXX of the month. They refused the change of date. I found out several months later that they were charging me late fees every month. Called and spoke again with them about the late fees and they told me to add in the late fee each month in which I did, after a few months they demanded the payments be made of the back fees plus keep my payments up. I told them I could not afford to send them XXXX dollars in late fees plus the monthly payments. They said turn the vehicle in and I did as they asked. Now my credit report states that I owe what I paid for the car after 2 years of payments. They are a preditor company, they would not work with me at all. All I expect is the truth in the report.
