Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX Wed, XXXX XXXX, XXXX AM ( XXXX hours ago ) to antitrust I was advised to contact you regarding the above car loan corporation. On XX/XX/XXXX I was diagnosed with XXXX, the Rhode Island Department XXXX XXXX placed me on a XXXX quarantine, I did not get better until the end of XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Credit acceptance, since I owed only XXXX on my car. I paid XXXX dollars for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. After all was said I paid Credit Acceptance XXXX dollars, My car was repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was told I had to pay XXXX too get my car back. They also added several fees that brought what I owed to {$1300.00}. I worked hard to keep the car. It was the first one I financed. They HAVE SINCE AUCTIONED MY CAR. I now have no vehicle and they are stating I owe them money. Due to covid I lost my job, i lost my car and i was brought to my knees. If you want the car paid for I need to work to do that. I have contacted the attorney general, the XXXX, the house XXXX XXXX, the XXXX for XXXX in Rhode Island. Please I need help, This was so unfair on their part. They were rude, demanding, and basically told me to bad. They are not required by law to follow any of the governments or the XXXX of Rhode Island 's laws regarding covid. Included with the finance charges should have been the premium but was not, I had to purchase a separate insurance from the finance charge. And the the law says anytime you finance a vehicle the premium should be included in the finance charges.It was not, so therefore Im demanding compensation for violating my right as a consumer.Im demanding compensation for the premium, compensation for violating my right as a consumer and also deletion of all consumer reporting agency and the title to the XXXX XXXX XXXX truck. Consumer Complaint: I purchased a car XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. Car was financed threw Credit AcceptanceXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, the car was problematic from the very beginning. I was making the payment and had car insurance on car. However in XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX house that I worked at closed due to COVID. I did call Credit Acceptance due to being in a epedemic that was affecting the whole world I did not know when I would return to work. I asked for forbearance, lower payment or any relief that could be offered. I was told there was nothing could be done. I was unemployed and struggling going through extreme hardship. I again called Credit Acceptance to see could I return the car, I was told no. In XXXX a minor who was a passenger in car threw up all over the car, turned out he had XXXX, now making the car contaminated by XXXX. I did not park car in my garage out of fear of XXXX, I have a XXXX XXXXXXXX that I'm recovering from and did not want to jeopordize my health. I again called XXXX XXXX to see could they take mechanically problamatic car that was now XXXX contaminated. Again, I was told no. XXXX created an extreme financial and stressful hardship on me. In XX/XX/XXXX I did start a permanant job position and did start making car payments, however XXXX XXXX wanted me to pay on arrears, but I couldn't in XX/XX/XXXX while driving on highway along other cars going speed limit of XXXX mph the car abruptly stopped. The car abruptuly stopping created a very dangerous situation for me and other unknow parties on highway. XXXX XXXX towed XXXX to nearest repair shop. I than had to have car towed to my home from there. I called 6 diffrent auto repair shops and explained the situation all stated that if the timing chain broke it was 99.99 % probability engine was damaged. I again called XXXX XXXX and was told there was nothing I could do, I had bought and extended Maintenance contract on car they explained it had expired on XX/XX/XXXX. I was trying my hardest to get car repaired, I was unable to. middle of XX/XX/XXXX Credit Acceptance repossessed car while I was at work. I called Credit Acceptance and was told I needed close to {$1000.00} to get car out before it was auctioned off and I would be left still responsible for what was owed after car was sold. Credit Acceptance told me I had until the XXXX XXXX XXXX to try to get car out of We Reposses XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX which is towing lot that towed car. I had to call towing place that had the car to make appointment to retrieve personal possesion., at appointment on XX/XX/XXXX I was given a box that contained all the personal possessions in car, due to car no longer being in their possession I was told by Staff at Towing Place that car had already being sent out for auction. This happened freguently where Credit Acceptance told me one thing and did another. My credit report states the balance on car as {$17000.00} however on Credit Acceptance statement it has balance of {$21000.00}. I have documentation from Credit Acceptance stating I have until XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX to get car out of possession because after that day it will be autioned off, when it had already being auctioned off end of XX/XX/XXXX. I at this point do not have a car, it's very difficult to get to my job that I desperatly need, and it is reflecting badly on my credit report making it impossible to buy another car. Now I'm being told that I will still have to pay the deficiency balance, that amount has not been figured out yet. However I was told that I would have to pay deficeniecy balance and it could come down to my wages being garnished. I am living paycheck to paycheck trying to get on my feet after all the health, financial and stressful hardship XXXX produced. I was never told the car was going to be sold or when. I'm reaching out to your organization due to wanting to get on my feet and not have this hardship continue. I never thought the car would give me such problems, I really thought Credit Acceptance would have lieniency while the world was going threw and epedemic. I'm hoping your organizition can give me relief, I'm very stressed, I can't sleep and my anxiety is threw the roof. I'm desperatly trying to hold on to my job. I have attached statement from Credit Acceptance stating after XX/XX/XXXX car would be sold, also Credit acceptance that shows balance of {$21000.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX was a victim of pressured sales tactics by a salesperson, I was promised that my personal information would be private and not exposed to the public at signing in XXXX Ohio at the XXXX XXXX car dealer, in desperate need for a vehicle to save my job I signed in XXXX later for the vehicle to break down for a damaged engine in XXXX causing me to lose my job. Afterwards harassed consistently by Credit Acceptance lender for Payment. I reviewed my credit just to also find that my rights have been violated According to the Fair Credit reporting Act 15 USC-1681 b section 602 A Which state, I have a right to privacy. I was very embarrassed and humiliated getting my Credit pulled by other resources. I also was violated according to Act 15 USC-1681 A section 604 A section 2 which also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. I wasn't aware of any Discrepancies with Credit Acceptance with other Borrowers throughout the nation. I was never informed by the dealer for other options, I too will also have to seek for legal actions concerning Credit Acceptance in the Unlawful practice between the dealer and lender. Please help!

Consumer Complaint: After several years and contacting via disputes with all 3 credit reporting bureaus, I have as well contacted Credit Acceptance corporation over several years to have this Issue fixed, without any resolve. My vehicle broke down while traveling through XXXX XXXX, Oklahoma, it was towed to XXXX complete auto repair, after a month of searching for a used rear-end one was found, at the cost 0f {$4500.00} as XXXX does not manufacture rear-ends for this such vehicle in XXXX in the month of XXXX XXXX after a 3 week wait for the repairs the vehicle had been in the shop now for 2 month in total I was unable to work as I use my vehicle and work for Oil & GAs clients all across USA. I was down and my Payment 's in the month of XXXX XXXX reflect a missed payment so XXXX & XXXX and XXXX I was without my vehicle in the repair shop at the cost of {$7900.00} to pick it up from XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Oklahoma. I had been in contact with the manager of XXXX, about paying my bill i was roughly XXXX short of the complete repair bill. At this time i had received a call from Credit Acceptance about my behind 3 payments, they asked where the vehicle was at when i stated i was behind because the vehicle was in the repair shop and I hadn't been able to get to work to make my payments, as my father was helping to pay the repair along with another co worker whom was going to help pay my XXXX bill so I can return to work. Credit Acceptance stated they were going top Repossess the vehicle after verifying it was in fact in the repair shop, But the manager stated that it would not be leaving the shop until the repair bill was paid in full. At this point the manager contacted via me phone and stated that he received a call from Credit Acceptance and I told him I let them know which shop it was in because Credit Acceptance asked, he did tell me they wanted to repo the vehicle and referred to they could not take it until the repair bill was paid. after a few weeks I called back to XXXX and was told that, XXXX was sent the title for the vehicle due to they did want to physically come pick up the suburban, My complaint is that I was never sent a letter of default or a letter giving a time line date to make up my behind 3 payments from Credit Acceptance, and I never had the title to the vehicle, it was always kept by Credit Acceptance. In XXXX 0f XXXX XXXX received the title for my vehicle from Credit Acceptance, XXXX then placed my vehicle up for sale. I feel I was violated by Credit Acceptance Corporation in the fact of failure to give me a Right to Cure the Default and a choice to make those payments. Credit Acceptance stepped in Civilly between me and the Auto repair shop, and did a repossession without proper procedure of my rights civil and Federally as I am protected to have. To this date, I am being given bad reports of 120 late payments each month since XXXX, XXXX to my credit reports with all 3 major bureaus. XXXX has a different amount that Credit Acceptance has reported. XXXX has a different amount reported. XXXX has a different report amount reported, but all 3 show that since Credit Acceptance chose to Give my title { Repossess } the vehicle of mine, that its has failed to Properly by federally required law report that repossession, and / or close account place accurate balance information that I owe after repossession of sale / Gifting/ title release for repairs, but In Fact has continued to work in an unlawful manner to damage intentionally my credit report by placing 120 day late payments on to my report for over 7 years on purpose, and against federal law in such as a Lender/ Loan/ Finance Corporation is not allowed to do, This corporation has for over 7 years damaged me by its fraudulent reporting and deceptive omission of properly reporting it amount it has sold the vehicle for, and failed to report that to the credit bureaus the final balance I would in fact owe " if '' any. I am seeking relief for these Federal Violations committed on the behalf of Credit Acceptance asking it to be completely removed from my report and seeking Monetary relief in damages from these Violations .Requesting an Investigation into this Fraudulent activity by a Lending/ Loan/ Finance Corporation Know as Credit Acceptance Corporation of XXXX MI XXXX Credit Acceptance stated to me yesterday the vehicle was " Unrepossessable '', { meaning the repair shop wouldn't release it to them } so they gave them my title and seems to feel that gives Credit Acceptance the Right to placed 120 day ; late payments to my credit report with all 3 major bureaus. Today I received a call from Credit Acceptance Complaint Reprecentive Specialist named XXXX XXXX, she stated that " Credit Acceptance has the right to repossess or not! '' Making the fact that Credit Acceptance did not physically pick up, but in fact did convey my title for repossession purpose to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX service allows Credit Acceptance to commit Federal Violation I requested to speak with a Legal Council for Credit Acceptance Corp. and was denied 4 times on a recorded call with XXXX XXXX, she continued to state that Customers can not speak with Credit Acceptance Corp. Legal team or Legal Council , But she did state that she will speak with CFPB if contacted although she is not the legal she is a complaint specialist, and refers to she has the legal right to continue to ding my report for late payment although they are aware it was repossessed for me. NOTE ; Attached documents showing my was paid into XXXX of XXXX credit report in good standing, also the attached VIN # of vehicle for reference to type of vehicle was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX full size Automatic full leather interior Rear Heated seats, Rear Air conditioning, 3rd row seating 4x4 I was Civilly violated, Federal Law was vacated by Loan/ Lending Financial " aka '' Credit Acceptance Corporation

Consumer Complaint: The vehicle was given up as a voluntary repossession after the transmission gave out and the dealership refused to cover it under an extended warranty we paid for. After repossession the auctioned off the vehicle and initially removed this amount from the remaining balance of the loan. After multiple years of trying to work out a deal, they removed all liability from the primary account holder and reinstated the full unpaid amount back onto my credit report, as if they had never auctioned the vehicle off at all.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased the car in XXXX. My original loan amount was approximately {$9300.00}. My payments are {$270.00} a month. My loan is held by Credit Acceptance Corp. When I originally got the loan, I arranged for my payment date to line up with my pay dates, at the end of every month. I submitted my payments by that payment date. Approximately 4 years later, I learned that the company had been considering all my payments as late and I believe reported it to the credit agencies as such. They also assessed late fees to my payments without notifying me. Several of my payments have not been recorded or counted toward the payment of my car or debt. As a result, I have been paying on the car for almost five ( 5 ) years, and I am told that I still owe over {$4000.00} on my car. I have proof of my payments on months which they said were not paid. I presented proof of payment and was ignored. I have repeatedly requested payment history and have never received such. They do not send my monthly statements, and the online account with the company does not allow you to see payment history. There have never been any attempts to repossess my car, despite the inaccurate claims of non-payment. At this point, I believe I have more than paid off this debt, I also believe they have severely damaged my credit history.
