Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I checked my credit on credit karma and noticed that this car loan ( Credit Acceptance Corporation ) was on my report and that i have no knowledge of this loan. I contacted the company and they have informed me that they are only gon na take this off if i dispute it thru the CFPB. I have reported this to the company and they are refusing to investigate or show proof of my signature to show me that i signed a car loan. This is a car loan that is dated XX/XX/XXXX and they are reporting that I owe them money for a truck that i never signed for.

Consumer Complaint: I had a auto loan through Credit Acceptance. In XXXX I totaled my car. In about a month, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX paid off the loan in full. I have all documents proof. But credit acceptance refused to close my account and stop charging me monthly car payments $ XXXX. They charged me for 2 additional months after the car was paid off. I called them constantly begging them to stop, but they dragged it out as long as they could. Now I have a {$650.00} balance that is the worst thing on my credit report. It's the only negative thing on my report and is preventing me from getting another car. I've tried to dispute this with the credit acceptance company as well as all 3 credit bureaus and have gotten nowhere. I've been fighting this for months and it's completely holding up my life still. I shouldn't have to pay this.

Consumer Complaint: I have asked XXXX to verify that credit acceptance was my debt. XXXX keep saying this account was verified but never sent any verification to my address. Credit acceptance couldnt verify this debt with XXXX and XXXX so the account was deleted. XXXX is not verifying nothing with original signed documents nor are they even probably investigating these debts. XXXX is horrible. XXXX have all my accounts in a negative stand but on the other toe bureaus they are all in good standing. XXXX is carousing harm to my credit report by falsely keeping these accounts that they can not verify on my credit report. Then they are still reporting it on my credit after it was closed for years

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corp sold me a used defected vehicle that had mechanical issues without providing me with accident or damage reports which is considered a Lemon according to Lemon Law. The vehicle transmission failed and was not drivable a few months after I purchased the vehicle and I also have an active lawsuit against Credit Acceptance Corp. They are re-aging the debt on my credit report and still attempting to collect debt and they updated the account as current on my credit report then flagged it as 150 days past due and send mail to my current address that they had no knowledge of.

Consumer Complaint: I cosigned an auto loan for my significant other. During the outbreak of COVID-19, he then became unemployed and was unable to make his payments. We contacted Credit Acceptance and they agreed to defer payments. Then the car was in a total loss accident and our insurance company paid off a large amount. Believing our XXXX Insurance would cover the rest and the fact that payments were being deferred, we believed that the vehicle would no longer need to have payments. However, payments were reported late on our credit files and a comment stating " affected by natural disaster '' was added. Filing a dispute with the credit bureaus did not solve the issue of late payments being reported during COVID or the fact that we were not made aware of payments still needing to be made after the accident. We did not receive notification until a letter to settle the due balance was mailed. The late payments reflected on our credit files are inaccurate and unfair due to the fact that we contacted Credit Acceptance, they show that they acknowledged our request but did not enforce it and due to the fact that we filed a claim with our insurance company and had XXXX Insurance so we were expecting not to be burdened with paying on a destroyed vehicle.
