Consumer Complaint: When dealing with Credit Acceptance they were very demanding and harassing when we had our loan with them. They repossessed our truck when we had payment arrangements made so we thought with the company. We were finally able to pay off the loan. They added numerous additional fees to our loan throughout the life of the loan. They were a very difficult company to work with.

Come XX/XX/XXXX, my auto loan is fully paid off through XXXX XXXX XXXX, however, I can not get my title because Credit Acceptance is claiming I still owe them over {$6000.00} for GAP and extended coverage that they claim I never cancelled. They will not make any negotiations, even though my car has been refinanced and paid off completely through another company.

Consumer Complaint: After reaching out to my financing company XXXX XXXX, they advised that this is a problem I needed to take up with the dealership -- now they are both throwing each other under the bus. The lack of professionalism on both behalf 's is unacceptable and I simply would like the situation at hand resolved prior to further steps being taken. XX/XX/XXXX I entered into a contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX commenced with salesperson XXXX under good faith they were a reputable and honest dealership to conduct business with. Over the course of the last few months I discovered there were multiple discrepancies in my contract which resulted in me losing a {$1500.00} down payment and a {$1600.00} payment for an extended warranty with their partner company XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which I was unable to use. Let us start with the warranty -- XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX miles an issue occurred with the motor of my vehicle resulting in me needing to use the warranty and was unable to do so though because they stated and I quote " the vehicle is registered with XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX extended warranty '' not them. XXXX rejected me saying my vehicle needed an updated which was solely only able to be covered by XXXXXXXX XXXX. I proceeded to reach out to XXXX XXXX XXXX Auto manager at that time, XXXX regarding the issue. He stated he'd reach out to XXXXXXXX XXXX directly and rectify the situation however I followed up with XXXXXXXX XXXX and they never received any communication from the dealership to resolve the warranty issue costing me to pay out of pocket. I made sure to keep the voice transcript from XXXXXXXX XXXX representative indeed stating the dealership never followed up. The warranty is now expired and the XXXX time it was of use I could not use it. I do expect this amount to be reimbursed. Moving beyond that the dealership has failed to uphold their end of the contract signed XX/XX/XXXX. They required a {$1500.00} down payment to purchase the vehicle however after reaching out to XXXX XXXX per the contract that was not required to finalize the purchase. Per page XX/XX/XXXX of my contract it states this vehicle was purchases on credit at the " Cash price '' but that is in fact inaccurate -- - putting down a cash payment on the financed instrument no longer makes the purchase subjected to being fully financed via credit which is a breach of the contract made at hand. Beyond that included in the contract it states there's a paper version of the retail installment contract, not just an electronic copy of it. After reaching out to the dealership asking them to view the original document commenced on the day of signing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX responded saying they failed to keep such document and do not have for me to view. As a consumer I am expected to uphold my end of the contract which I have done amicably with no problems. As a creditor/furnisher you all are expected to uphold your end as well and neither parties are doing so. A simple resolution to this matter would be to provide me reimbursement for my down payment and the faulty warranty. I would love to resolve this problem prior to arbitration or any legal avenues pursued. Thank you. I look forward to a prompt response within XXXX days. Consumer Complaint: I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. I was ecstatic that I was able to get a car loan by myself considering my credit was not the greatest at that time. I did not have a trade in as I still had negative equity that would roll over to another loan. My paperwork stated that I was only going to be paying around $ XXXX for this vehicle, but after I finally got my account set up it states over $ XXXX!!! Ive tried multiple times to lower my car payment, considering anytime I made a payment it didnt seem to make a dent in my loan. Why in the world is a car almost double the price on a loan? I tried multiple times to reach out to them to inquire about a decrease in a loan payment after I lost my job and was trying to work out a payment arrangement so I could keep my vehicle and they ended up repossessing it. Im going to have to end of claiming bankruptcy at XXXX because they were shady in the contract. The dealership also didnt help as my car salesman literally quit two days after he sold me the car. A XXXX interest rate is insane. My finance charge was {$19000.00} and amount financed was {$24000.00} and after its paid off is over $ XXXX? The math aint mathing and I felt I was taken advantage of.

They initially denied knowledge of my vehicle but upon first complaints via CFPB they all of a sudden had every detail about a car they failed to properly report to the credit bureaus. They have fake people calling posing as counsel, theyre still improperly reporting the status of our account despite the account legally needing to be dismissed or charge off status. we gave all military documentation and orders to further prove and yet theyre still sticking to the theatrical tactics on a 7 year old account Their latest charade

Consumer Complaint: Ive been disputing with credit acceptance for years now. Now my account is supposed to be closed and they will not remove the account off my credit. I was told by previous reps that once the account is paid off or have no balance it will be removed. Now that they agree to close the account they are not removing it off my accounts. For years they have been reporting inaccurate information and Ive been disputing it. They recently said they closed the account and the status should change they also say I dont owe anything. This information has been damaging to me I couldnt get another vehicle nor a home due to the reporting of repossessions which in fact it was repo XX/XX/XXXX. They reported repossessions each year each month on my payment history after they sold the vehicle. Ive asked for it to be corrected and removed over the phone just recently. They dont want to do either. I believe they willingly and knowingly know that they have been reporting incorrect information on my report they just dont want to fix it at all. I spoke with a representative XX/XX/XXXX who told me they dont have to remove the account off the credit seeing that I dont owe them. Even through the FDCRA you can modified, delete or permanently block this information they said they dont have to remove it. They also willing and knowingly reported false information which caused damage to my credit report. Which under the 15 U.S.C 1681-2 1 ( a ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( b2 ) A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if
