Consumer Complaint: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE is non compliant with METRO2 Format compliance as this company is aware that it is reporting an unverified auto loan account with my personal information to their system. Credit Acceptance is apart of a scheme targeting minorities with bad credit, and also by refusing to remove inaccurate information reporting on one 's credit report. Credit Acceptance also continues to threaten me with mail stating I owe a debt that is not unverified, and only reporting to one consumer agency XXXX who's also refusing to remove it.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a vehicle in 2016 with a XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX. I paid consistently for 2 yrs then lost my job. I self repossessed returned car which was run through auction. To this day 7yrs later it is still on my credit as an open delinquent account with same money due from before auction. I have contacted them with no option but to pay full amount. They keep checking my credit and will not close account or remove it. It is hurting my chances of ever getting a home loan or better credit. I feel this practice of high interest loans is wrong as it can never be paid off successfully. I need help getting it removed or closed. Please.

Consumer Complaint: My nephew purchased a vehicle in Alabama on XX/XX/2023. I reached out to Credit Acceptance Corporation, the finance company on XX/XX/2023, to make a formal complaint regarding the predatory practices regarding the purchase and loan. My nephew and I received both a telephone response and a letter on XX/XX/2023, after the company 's review of the complaint. In the letter, my nephew and I were told that the review showed that by signing the contract my nephew agreed to all statements listed within the contract. The issue with the loan contract was based on fraudulent information received from the car dealership where the car was purchased. First and foremost, my nephew did not have a valid driver 's license when purchasing the car which prohibited him from being able to obtain the insurance required for the loan. Second, the insurance listed on the loan application was provided by the dealership, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and, not my nephew. The salesman at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX called and secured a fraudulent quote from XXXX XXXX without my nephew 's approval. This information was then provided to Credit Acceptance Corporation as proof of insurance ( and inferred proof of driver 's license ). I sent Credit Acceptance Corporation a copy of the quote sent to me by the salesman with his handwritten notes regarding the insurance information. Credit Acceptance Corporation also reviewed this information and after their review telephoned me with their response stating that there was not enough information to discredit the car dealership and that my nephew must adhere to the signed loan contract. I continue to believe that this entire process was predatory and feel that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation have engaged in dishonest practices and possible coordination.

Consumer Complaint: I have been reporting this account since I've become aware of it. I don't have any other information except that I was put on the account as a cosigner. My husband XXXX XXXX XXXX ) who is now deceased, left me and became erratic and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. I had found out in late 2018 that it included putting several credit cards in my name and somehow having someone cosign my name to a vehicle that was repossessed several months after getting it and now the companies are holding me liable for the payoffs. I have been having trouble to prove my innocence due to him not being alive, lack of knowledge of the chain of events and accounts.I don't have documents to attach because I don't know anything about these accounts except what the collection agencies have sent me. If a death certificate is necessary, I will attach that.
