Consumer Complaint: I purchase a car XX/XX/2021 from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX ohio through Credit Acceptance. XX/XX/2021 i was at work and my co worker came and grabbed me and said my car was on fire which it started through the radio, i began contacting XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX i talked to a manager who was extremely rude and hung up on me and said that wasnt his problem i dont owe finance company and not him. I then contacted XXXX XXXX They Told Me There was nothing they could do about it but put me on a payment plan. I then contacted the warranty company and tried to see if they could help, the warranty company told me i didnt have the car long enough or use up a certain mileage for it to be covered but i was charged an extra {$2000.00} for a warranty not to even work when needed. I Continued to pay the car note until i couldnt any more i still have bills and had to now pay for transportation all over again. I understand i did not have insurance at the time but i was young and so ready to jump into something i really didnt know about and i feel as if they seen me and took advantage of that but now that i am properly aware of my rights i will not continue to let this happen. I then went and purchase a new car and learned that i was double financed when purchasing the car and unaware so when trying to actually purchase a car the correct way was very complicated due to my credit dropping consistently. I then contacted XXXX and got an inspection on the car and they said the only thing they could find was a usb cord so i was at fault and needed to contact my insurance company. I Did have my charger in the car but it was not plugged up and i have images to prove that and even if it was plugged in the car does not give power with out the car being started so i couldnt possibly be at fault. I was over charged for a used car Warranty didnt cover No insurance coverage Caught on fire Double finessed Paid down payment not included in finessed agreement Did not receive cash in hand or form of check

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX tn. I got a XXXX XXXX accord for the price on the window {$2900.00}. I didn't try to negotiate other than asking for a break because the car was disgustingly a filthy disgrace but of course the answer was no. I paid {$1500.00} in cash that day with a deferred pmt to be made in couple weeks of {$280.00}. So I paid for a little bit at $ 285 monthly then started paying weekly at {$80.00} then for a while at {$50.00} either way it went i was never coming out anywhere close to on top. So each week that i was making payments of {$80.00} or {$50.00} i was getting hit with late fees because it wasnt {$280.00} everytime i made that pymnt and four times a month which now has me at {$2000.00} in late fees are you kidding me? which was coming was coming directly out of my check so to make a long story short a year and a half later after paying over {$5000.00} on a {$3000.00} car that was negotiable at the lot I still owe {$6000.00} on this car I've called the company ask them for a payoff less than the amount it says if I paid in full no it's non-negotiable they said my payment is due every XXXX {$80.00} comes out of my check in account and last week they already had me turned into the credit bureau when I checked my XXXXredit score on XXXX they already turned it in that I didn't make a payment and it was set for {$280.00} not the {$80.00} I am a believer that they had me on my credit report on XXXX just to get those late fees again this is wrong to do me this way just because I have bad credit because of a bad divorce they have taken advantage of me like the rest of the world has and I'm quite sick of it and I did forget to say I was driving the car to work one day it was day XXXX that I had bought this car and I was on the side of the road the axle broke and the guy at the car lot XXXX XXXX who sold it to me knew this about the car yeah it did not tell me I also have put about {$3000.00} into this car just to make sure I get a way to work to pay for this car I will never use credit acceptance I will walk before I use this company again they have harassed me the day after I make a payment and I've asked them to stop they refuse and do what they want

Consumer Complaint: I got a car through a dealership that works with credit acceptance. A lot of the information in the contract was difficult for me to review as the sale was rushed and brief. I may have missed some key components. This car came with no XXXX but, I was willing to take the chance as the seller promised a lot of success with the transaction. I was told things on the vehicle were up to date. It ended up needing a new radiator a day after getting it using a XXXX deposit on a warranty. About 3 weeks after having the car it was hit and run will parked in front of my residence. Before I was able to get it into assess damages it was hit again in a 3 car accident while legally parked at my residence. This time it had to be towed as I was in my residence XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and had also could not be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle due to medications I was taking at the time. A few days later I contacted credit acceptance to try to renegotiate or figure out a reasonable resolution in the case that the car still had a balance. I was informed that the contract would remain and the only option I had was pay it in full or be sued. Even if the car is a total loss Im assuming there will be balance left over. During the inquiry about this vehicle via XXXX through a dealer that had it priced @ {$1.00}. I asked for the price I never got a straight answer. I informed the seller that it seemed to be a lot of secrecy I asked for the tag price and was told either to finance with them or lose the chance of having the car if told the price of the vehicle. Considering that this was the only seller that offered me financing after being denied from XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, my personal credit union, and many others for credit lines as little as {$100.00} due to lack of credit history over the last 10 yrs I gave it a chance. The sales agent offered to drive a hour and a half to bring me to his dealership which was appreciated when we got to the office he only had me review the paperwork and whatever needed to be signed electronically was not presented to me. He claimed he was making it quick and easy that everything would work out and it was pretty straightforward just make my payment and refinance when I built some credit. Im still unsure of the exact details of the contract down to the price of the vehicle. I was only given estimates via XXXX ( where it was marked at {$1.00} which the seller informed me it was just the down payment ) and Text of approximate amounts I brought it down from XXXX to a little under XXXX for you. He claimed that Id be paying the minimum amount over the phone but, at the dealership he threw in a lot of extras and possible 72 month term and basically having to pay the full amount of the car brand new and a lot of fancy talk about how to lower payments and get a better rate but, since the car is now at a tow yard I will not be presented with that chance. If there is anyone who could provide me with info on how to lower my payments so that I am able to pay for my essentials please feel free to contact me via email ( XXXX ) or phone XXXX. In the XXXX thread we talked about financing in house which was not the case I was financed at a different rate through the 3rd party credit acceptance .I was told by the dealer to not contact them for anything in regards to the vehicle. Also not to tell the warranty company about anything I noticed at the dealerships in regards to the car.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corporation charged me with an excessive finance charge. The finance charge of an {$8000.00} vehicle, I was charged a finance charge of {$6300.00}. With a 22.99 % interest rate. Plus I had a XXXX month extended warranty, and had a bad alternator during the first week and had to pay out of pocket for the entire repair.
