Consumer Complaint: I went to a car dealership by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX where I was made to believe that I would be financing a car of my choice with them. I was told I needed to give my social security number. After I was asked for my social I then believed I would be doing a consumer credit transaction, seeing as how my credit card social security card was used, but I received no benefit. I was told that I needed to put {$12000.00} usd as a down payment down for the vehicle. This was also false and misleading because down payments are illegal, and there was a breach in the fiduciary obligation regarding my social. Once my signature securitized the document I was unsure why I was being charged a down payment. After it was time to pay my first alleged car payment, I was told that I needed to make the payment with Credit Acceptance. There was never an agent from credit acceptance at the car dealership and I never had communications with credit acceptance. I sent credit acceptance a notice asking them to please inform me on how I could owe them a debt that I never contracted with them on. Theres supposed to be a meeting of the minds regarding any contracts and that wasnt the case here. Only I and auto land signed the contract which would make me owing credit acceptance null and void. I was also told that credit acceptance received a portion of my down payment which is a violation of the TILA. I then sent credit acceptance a second notice asking them if they can please discharge my loan and refund me for the multiple car notes and repossession fees I had to pay to get my property back once it was stolen. I am the consumer and live person. If I signed a contract with credit acceptance that would be one thing. But for me to be blindsided is another thing. Each time credit acceptance repossessed my vehicle I had to pay {$1000.00} to retrieve it. Credit acceptance also verbally told me on the phone both times that each time my vehicle is repossessed they add {$100.00} more to my monthly car payment. Another thing I never signed for. At this point, credit acceptance should be shut completely down. They have been sued multiple times for deception and fraud and they have yet to stop and be honest. Praying this nightmare will end soon.

Consumer Complaint: I put 50 % down on a {$21000.00} vehicle. It was my first purchase and was instructed that I only owed {$18000.00} after dealership fees. So far I paid {$20000.00} on my vehicle in total with the down payment. I am told that I still owe over {$32000.00}. I was told that I had a balance on top of a finance charge. I sought out advice from a third party to explain my contract to me and it wasn't until after my car was repossessed that I got a clear understanding of what it is. My car is on it's 3rd repossession. The first repossession, I had to travel 2 hours at 9 months pregnant to retrieve the vehicle. When I retrieved the vehicle my right back wheel arch panel was missing. After the second repossession all of my car 's interior panels were removed, keys deactivated, and damaged caused on the same exact side. Prior to the third repossession a representative told me as long as I made active payments, even if it wasn't the full amount my car wouldn't go into repossession. Four days later I took my infant from the vehicle and as I was walking into the building, a head hunter hooked my vehicle to his pick up stating that my car was on an app that said my car was " marked with a bounty. '' I called credit acceptance immediately and was told if I paid a about {$600.00} that they would stop the repossession. I didn't have it because I was starting a job days later. I don't have the exact dates and times because I didn't keep a record, I didn't know I had to. My car is set to be put on the auction block and I'm not sure who can help. I saved 4 years for that down payment and budgeted accordingly, I can't lose this vehicle.
