Consumer Complaint: I cosigned for my brother to get a vehicle. The lending company we had to go through was Credit Acceptance. My brother stopped making payments and put the truck in repossession. They keep reporting late payments on my credit report. I've given them 3 locations for where the truck is and they still have not repossessed the vehicle. I was told that I can't hire someone to repossess the vehicle but yet I'm still responsible for the loan. My credit is getting trashed every month and I have no legal recourse for turning the vehicle in. I tried to do a voluntary surrender and Credit Acceptance said that my brother has to consent to that as well. Even with the truck up for repossession. I've offered to pay half the loan if removed from the loan contract and repair my credit. I was told that's not an option either. I'm nowhere on the bill of sale, title or registration but being wrecked credit wise with no way to fix this. I seriously need help with this or directed towards an attorney that can help

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX - sold my car for a low price to an outside party. I still had over {$3000.00} worth of electronics in that car. They were suppose to close this account due to over the top Maitenance visits because the car had so many issues. On top of that. Every time the car broke down, I had to get it towed and paid out of pocket. XXXX XXXX was suppose to reimburse me for those tolls and did not fully pay me back. I asked over and over for someone to give me a call because I am owed money for those tolls. Credit Acceptance- still billing me and harassing me with phone calls after my truck was involved in an accident. I was not in the vehicle when this happen. The insurance company XXXX declared the truck as a Total lost. Now I can not get my truck registered again because it is now a total loss vehicle. I asked them to close this account because they did not accept the offer from XXXX for me to receive a check for my damages. They did not want to sign over the title because of my account status. The truck is not drivable and is parked due to tail end hit, and gas tank leaking fluid.

Consumer Complaint: I was affected by fraudulent and deceptive practices. 1. I was charged for a maintenance warranty service, which was added to the sales price. This illegally over capped my interest rate.. 2. The car dealer documented the wrong mileage on the service contract, causing the service plan to be void. No licensed mechanic would service the vehicle. Making repairs impossible. 3. I was charged excessive add-on fees. Due to Credit Acceptance plethora of lawsuits for fraud and deceptive practice against their consumers. I am giving Credit Acceptance a chance to correct this critical situation.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance is reporting an inaccurate negative autoload on my credit reports that I have been disputing with them for quite some time. Credit Acceptance is verifying inconsistent and inaccurate information regarding this debt. This account is being verified that there is a monthly payment of {$0.00}, however there are multiple late payments reporting. How can they report this account late if there is no monthly payment due? They are also verifying inconsistent last payment and activity dates with each bureau. It is illegal for a consumer reporting agency to verify and report inaccurate information on a consumers report. Their inaccurate reporting has caused me to get denied and a lot of distress as I have been disputing this inaccurate account and I am not able to get any resolution when they are clearly in violation of the FCRA. I am demanding that this account is deleted from my reports now!
