Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX I woke up normal time ( XXXX ) and looked outside. My XXXX XXXX was gone. I called the police and reported it stolen. This was during the time the XXXX Boys were all over the news for stealing the XXXX and XXXX cars. I filed the next day, a claim with my insurance XXXX and also email my lender, Credit Acceptance. At this time my attorney told me to not to pay on the car as it was stolen and that XXXX will be able to pay it off. I also had XXXX Insurance as well for coverage. By XXXX XXXX notified me that Credit Acceptance did not get back to them. I continued to email Credit acceptance with no success. I also sent letters to Credit Acceptance asking them to please get ahold of XXXX. XXXX let me know the rental car I was using would expire by XX/XX/XXXX so I went to XXXX XXXX and purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX. My credit report was pulled and I was approved by XXXX for a new car loan. I drove the new car home on XX/XX/XXXX. Everything was great! Then on XX/XX/XXXX, on XXXX XXXX in XXXX, I was hit by a XXXX and the new car was destroyed. The insurance for the individual XXXX told me to go to XXXX for a rental car until the claim was paid for the car. I did. The rental car was good until XXXX as XXXX decided to only allow so many weeks. I went to borrow a car from a friend and used it until XX/XX/XXXX when it broke down. I was able to secure another car from a friend temporary. Why the delay? I have been dealing with health problems because of the accident. On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a car/loan again with XXXX XXXX XXXX The sales person called me back and said Why is there a repo on your credit report? I told him no that car was stolen. He said the payoff looks like {$2500.00}. I said NO I had XXXX year left and owed {$4800.00}. He said that is not what Credit Acceptance is showing. I email Credit Acceptance and AGAIN, they refuse to answer. I called my attorney and he said facts are simple : If they did repo the car, why did not my credit report show it back the end of XXXX? Second, I was NOT given the right to cure the alleged default. Third, I was not given the right to retrieve my personal belongings. If this is true, my rights were definitely violated. It is so hard now to get a loan. I hope no one else has to deal with this situation. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I was a first time interested buyer of a car at a dealership called XXXX XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NY XXXX. First red flag was the place of business never picked up any of my phone calls during several days of calling. I was interested in a car I saw posted online. After leaving a voicemail, I was then reached by someone who connected me to a person who worked at the location named " XXXX XXXX '' who eventually made an appointment for me to come into the dealership to view the car I wanted. On XX/XX/XXXX he proceeded to show me the car that was $ XXXX. As it was my first vehicle, I believed it was way over my budget. He showed me a different used XXXX white XXXX priced at $ XXXX. I accepted to purchase the vehicle but as they explained to me the cost of the vehicle will now have to be increased to $ XXXX due to my credit and age. I didn't understand why if my credit wasn't the best, why would the price increase. As a new buyer and a XXXX XXXX XXXX with little to no knowledge about how loans work, after some pressure tactics and convincing I accepted. I wanted to place a {$3000.00} down payment on the vehicle to lower my loan amount. As I will demonstrate on my original receipt that the company hand wrote clearly states the price of the vehicle $ XXXX and also stated down payment of $ XXXX and does not clearly deduct the $ XXXX from the original price. I was told to sign some documents for the loan. Failure on my part was to double check the loan documents as I was so excited to have my first car. After a few days discussing with my parents the ordeal I decided to review the loan documents and realized that not only did they not reduce my down payment from the original price but the loan was financed for more than $ XXXX. I tried calling the dealership many times with no answer. When I was finally able to get in contact with someone, they told me that I had also paid for a mandatory extended warranty which had raised my price. None of which was explained to me prior to signing. I had at that point realized I was deceived and a loan with " Credit Acceptance '' was taken for {$16000.00} with an interest rate of 15.99 %. I now had a payment of {$380.00} a month ( for 66 months ) in addition to a first time driver insurance cost of {$600.00} per month. This has been a monthly cost of {$980.00} for the past 9 months. This is nearly 40 % of my monthly income ( {$2500.00} ). I question this rationale, how did Credit Acceptance approved this car loan? when my monthly income was documented. Who misrepresented the cost of credit here? the dealership or loan company? XXXX XXXX also facilitated the contact with a rep from XXXX XXXX to honor me car insurance. Now after 9 months of struggling to make these payments, I have now decided it was time to report the nightmare this unjust, deceiving, unlawful and unscrupulous selling tactics this company has in place.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a line of credit online I got accepted by credit acceptance I was referred to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX picked me out a XXXX XXXX XXXX I put {$2000.00} down and drove the XXXX XXXX for 3 months before it started breaking down the vehicle lasted a total of 6 months for me to find out it had engine failure the vehicle came with a warranty I was given the runaround for repairs the vehicle set at XXXX XXXX for 14 months unrepared and then was sold for {$700.00} not fixed XXXX XXXX is asking me for {$1600.00} for tearing the vehicle apart credit acceptance is standing I owe them XXXX and it's not telling the truth and never fixed the vehicle I filed a complaint with the Ohio attorney general they sold me a lemon I would like for them to be removed from my credit report the vehicle was not reliable and they didn't try to fix the situation. My warranty was never honored now I'm trying to obtain reliable transportation but this {$14000.00} is holding up my credit report I do not owe them that the vehicle was not worth that in a way I was treated was not fair.

Consumer Complaint: My complaint is about XXXX credit bureau I have disputed credit acceptance for this reason my online account says {$5.00}, XXXX for remaining balance the initial balance {$12000.00} my credit report my credit report says {$4400.00} the original balance says {$8200.00} when my online account says XXXX and it's only 46 % paid off that is totally incorrect I am asking for a XXXX I want this removed XXXX did not verify they could not have verified and I have read they have violated a lot class action lawsuit recently I got very well educated the last few days on this I also read that study found one in four had had one or more errors under credit report during 2020 I am really upset about this this is affected me a lot I spend all of my time researching and trying to fight for what is right I disputed with student loans also I am on the income driven plan if they would have verified correctly that would have got fixed the late payments I feel they should be held accountable for that that is unprofessional and very unethical I have disputed with credit acceptance a couple of different times it always comes back shortly after verified it's going to remain that is so unfair and I'm asking for a XXXX I am XXXX XXXX XXXX with a lot of health issues credit acceptance is taking me through the mud I even seen on my inquiries they're inquiring on my credit too that is credit slander and XXXX doesn't see that? That's scary but I am firmly asking for a XXXX I fight when I know that I am right I paid over {$8000.00} for that car there is no way I should still pay {$8000.00} as well over the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on the high side is XXXX that's an excellent condition and that car is not an excellent condition but they both violated the Fair credit reporting act big time I'm also going to contact the Federal trade commission and the state regulator something's got to be done about this I don't think it's fair that that repossession stays on my credit when they violated the Fair credit reporting act I can not stress that firmly enough I'm going to attach my proof
