Consumer Complaint: I purchased a vehicle XX/XX/2019 with a monthly payment of about {$650.00}. A few months in I have called for a deferment because I lost my job at the time. Unfortunately I didn't keep names or dates, but it was a fairly simple call the person had me on hold to take notes and said your payments are deferred. A couple of months later I checked my credit and saw it was not being reported until the summer. Then I saw late payments on my account and when I called I was told they don't offer deferments and that my car was in a repo status. I had to make payment plans of over XXXX a month include multiple late fees and though at the time I just started a new job I could not afford the payments. They tried to even put me on a payment Plan XXXX, and when I made these payments, credit acceptance kept putting me late every month because I could not make up for the balance of prior months. The payment needed to be paid in full or I would not get an on time payment I contacted my local XXXX XXXX XXXX and was lucky enough to refinance and was told I can dispute those late payments and I have tried by sending bank statements, I've tried with XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX. I remember a phone call I had with someone at corporate and they told me sorry for the misinformation but there is nothing I can do for you. There are 8 late payments at over 120 days reported, this doesn't represent me as a creditor. I have a current car loan, no late payments and a car loan prior to Credit acceptance no late payments. They dont allow customers to listen to the recorded calls, They dont allow late payments removal though other companies do especially when they understand if the customer usually pays on time and the car was refinance paid in full. This has affected my life in such an negative way. Not being able to get the apartment or credit card or even a new car on my own. I was paying XXXX for a car that was purchased for a bout XXXX more than double I was paying. I also purchased the care XX/XX/2019 and made the first payments at the XXXX but on the statement it says its started XX/XX/2019. I emailed the CEO and he sent me to a department that works this. And you cant called them, they call you. I know there is a law suit against them I wasn't to take them off my report. This is abuse they took advantage of people that needed help. I lost my job because I didn't have a car.

I was told I could be given financing options without affect to my credit score, hereinafter referred to as a credit soft-pull. I agreed to this credit soft-pull to mull my options only to find on the XXXX of that month that a hard pull on my credit had had been initiated by XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Acceptance Corporation in XXXX, Michigan. The company, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, through a representative, XXXX XXXX, and I exchanged messages as it tried to secure the sale on the XXXX. I made note of the hard-pull mistake and declined to do business with them in those messages. No effort has been made on their part to rectify this mistake.

Consumer Complaint: hello, last XXXX of XXXX i was looking for a used car online and came across a XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$16000.00} with XXXX miles. i got a call from the third-party dealership saying they can get me approved for low interest rate and monthly payments i HAD a credit of XXXX or XXXX at the time. in XXXX or XXXX of XXXX i noticed my loan amount was {$29000.00}. {$13000.00} more of what the car was listed for ( {$16000.00} ) I didn't notice this until afterwards i was just so happy excited this was my first loan ever .when i asked the bank why did they give me so much of a loan they told me they were told the car was XXXX plus tax fees ; when i contacted the bank they asked for proof of the vehicle being listed for XXXX and i have it and sent it then i was asked to show proof of the dealership confirming in text messages saying the car was XXXX and i absolutely have that proof also. after i sent all the proof they asked i was told that it wasn't enough to open a case and they're going to close it. my monthly payments were {$750.00} i was given a XXXX % interest rate. i was only able to pay from XXXX XXXX XXXX after that i started having alot of trouble paying they repossessed my car and my personal property in the car also they sold all of my belongings which isn't fair, if there's anything anyone can do to help sue them please contact me thank you also the bank is saying i owe them XXXX. which is ridiculous because the car I received had NO accessories in the car nothing!!! i was charged a lot for something that was nothing i was harassed with numerous phone calls Monday thru Sunday from XXXX. CONSISTANTLY the same XXXX people only call i was ignored about my complaint. i never received all of my paperwork. when i called the dealership the next day about my papers i was told " that's too bad it's not my problem that's yours I'm on vacation in XXXX " i almost forgot this but i told the first representative who called me from the dealership i decline the offer and didnt want the car but then i received a private call about XXXX minutes later stating she was a manager from a bank and i was approved. but come to find out she wasnt a bank manager she was the other representative who worked at the dealership. she was pretending to be a bank manager and lured me into a trap basically.

Consumer Complaint: My husband and I financed a car with Credit Acceptance Corp and we believe that we were lead into a misleading loan. We are paying 22.99 % percent, {$390.00} a month for a used XXXX XXXX XXXX that at the time had XXXX miles. When we brought it at the dealership we remember it saying {$9900.00}. We put down {$1000.00} and we still have to pay {$390.00} for 51 payments. After reading complaint after complaint regarding Credit Acceptance from its consumers as well as seeing that they have been sued by Mississippi and had to pay for their deceptive practices and also with New York Attorney General and CFPB for misleading consumers into loans they could not afford by practicing churning and deceptive loans. We also believe that we were wronged. Our loan is 51 months, and the interest has made the car over {$4600.00} dollars more than the value of the car {$4400.00}. We have already paid {$11000.00} which is more than the cost of the price on the car {$9900.00}. We feel misled putting down {$1000.00} still having to pay {$20000.00} for 51 payments. And how a car that is {$4400.00} blue book value ended up being financed with a total cost {$21000.00} and We are stuck with this loan for a long time. I always thought this loan was confusing and complex with contracts hidden inside of the contract with a financed charge for each contract XXXX XXXX which is a warranty contract for {$1600.00} with a term of 24 months and XXXX XXXX {$1100.00} for 51 months are two contracts hidden within a contract which makes this a complex contract that can not be understood by the common consumer. It took us years to understand our contract along and we still dont fully understand it but we know we have been misled. But it seems like my Loan has barely gone down even we have paid {$11000.00} almost 3 times the actual value of the car. I reached out to the New York Attorneys office who is currently suing Credit Acceptance Corporation along with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I have complained several times without a real resolution and fear that Credit Acceptance Corporation will not really investigate our case but just throw out what we are saying just like they have dismissed us in the past. We would like someone else to reevaluate this loan. Credit Acceptance Corporation has destroyed our credit and we are currently unable to get a home for our family because of it.

Consumer Complaint: Credit acceptance report my card XX/XX/XXXX in the morning I just looked up the repossession laws!! They sent me a notice that my car was going to be auctioned off it did not say where it did not say what time nothing of that sort they didn't even tell me where my car was at I had to ask several times over I have been in contact with these people often!! When I asked the representative where my car was located she hesitated like she didn't want to tell me and then she went off with some other subject I said no wait a minute I want I need to know where my car is at because I have valuable stuff in there that I need and then finally she told me where it was at I don't know who they think they are but they can not go against the Michigan laws!! So much is wrong with this auto loan completely my complete balance on credit acceptance website is completely different than my credit report credit acceptance account says it's open my credit report says it's closed there's so many violations here I'm sickened I am going to send them a pre-settlement letter I am going to consult an attorney I know I am right here and they are completely wrong and they know they are I have tried I am so stressed out I am just going to consult an attorney I already hired Lexington law firm to try to remove the repossession so I can get another Auto but going through all of this I know what the going rates are for what your credit is and it's sure not 22.99 % I can tell you that and the next auto loan I get I'm not going to let them work certain fees into my loan and plus charge me interest that's not going to happen simple and plain but I'm in it to win it I'm telling you I'm not going to stop
