Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I bought a car from XXXX XXXX for a sticker price of around XXXX Credit acceptance was the only lender that would take the little credit I had and ended up with a 22 % interest rate and an over {$16000.00} finance charge. The total amount of my loan was around {$42000.00} with a {$4000.00} down payment. That is double what the car was worth. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX, I am trying to refinance my car, but I still have a loan of {$28000.00} and the value of my car is {$17000.00}.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX and purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from wise auto. I traded my XXXX XXXX, put down {$1500.00} cash, and financed the rest through credit acceptance. I begin to have problems with the car immediately and was in constant contact with XXXX XXXX By XX/XX/XXXX I i had to take the car to a automotive repair shop who they recommended, since I had a warranty purchased from them. The repair shop said it needed a engine. I quickly called XXXX XXXX because I had just purchased the car 30 days ago, and I was paying a car note. XXXX XXXX gave me {$300.00} dollars back but I asked for the full amount plus the price of my truck i traded in. I sent them and credit acceptance a letter on XX/XX/XXXX letting them know I wanted to rescind this transaction, but they have yet to contact me. So this leads me to my letter today to you. I have also attached a statement as to what happen with the company they referred me to. XXXX of XXXX the car I had just purchased begin to have problems. I took the car to the dealer and they told me to go to platinum automotive. I drove the car to the location and signed and authorization for an estimate and they were aware that i had a warranty. They processed the claim to my warranty company and they came out to look at the vehicle. After they left they decide not to approve saying prior repairs to the engine which i wasn't aware of because i just purchased the car. I tried to get my car from XXXX XXXX and that's when the made me aware they had already done the repairs. I told them they had no authorization to do the repairs, then they told me the papers i signed authorized the repairs. They wouldn't release the car to me and i made the finance company and dealer aware. They sent a request for a lien and i sent them papers saying they had no right to request a lien. I then sent another letter demanding the vehicles back they illegally said they did repairs on, and illegally repossessed when they were not authorized to do repairs. They then called me and made me aware that they sold the car and there was nothing i could do. The papers they used to file the lien shows i only authorized an estimate so I never agreed to pay them any money, But they took my car and would not give it back. This was the worst experience I've had and i did everything right. I filled a complaint with the security of state in Michigan as well. This is against the law and i'm still expected to pay the note to a car i don't have. Please help me with this situation. I submitted complaints with the security of state in Michigan, the XXXX, and the Attorney General against XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and credit acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX begin to send me threats by text message. They are now saying they know were i live and i need help from the cfpb.

Consumer Complaint: I just recently closed out on a XXXX loan with credit acceptance for a XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXX I purchased from XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Connecticut. This loan was not advertised at 19 %, nor was I told at the end of the loan I would pay XXXX for a XXXX car. This caused a lot of pain, turmoil, hardships, fallouts with my mother, and excessive XXXX loan borrowing to avoid repossessing my car. I tried everything from paying more each month to paying my vehicle note in half every two weeks to decrease the principal. Nothing seems to work. I was still faced with harassment calls from credit acceptance, and I was also told this was an annual loan, but this loan seemed to acquire interest daily. By far the worst experience on an auto loan ever.

Consumer Complaint: I went to a dealership in the XXXX called XXXX XXXX XXXX price was {$18000.00} for my white XXXX XXXX XXXX that I still currently have for 3 years. Put down {$12000.00} when purchased. My credit sore at the time was poor so they insist that if you have someone else to put the car in their name I called my wife asked her she give me the ok. She sends me a picture of her Pennsylvania state ID card and social Security Number and ask whats your down payment I tell them {$12000.00} heres where it gets tricky for me, ok now they tells me we have the rest so I say ok happy about to get my new, used car. They have me in there for 6hours dont tell me anything any day dont worry your going to be on your way soon with your vehicle.. Im even more excited than they come to me 30 minutes later and ask can my wife come and sign the paperwork I called her and she couldnt so then I got a little upset plan down the drain thats when another 30 minutes waiting they take me on a ride let me know the car is fine hand me paperwork and my keys and say were all done.. So I look at the paperwork next day and I called the bank that gave me the loan ( Credit acceptance ) ask for my principal balance because I didnt understand why the vehicle bumped up so high they tells me the purchase price was XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX which is not true at all then I asked why the rate is 23 % they said take it up with your dealership I go to the dealership and they tells me once the bank give them the money is nothing they can do take it up with the bank so I looked at it like I going to be difficult now.. so I kept the vehicle until this year I search the internet and finds credit acceptance being sued and for the same things Im having trouble with it was god sent I requested a payment history from XX/XX/XXXX - Current Im paying and been paying {$650.00} a month
