Consumer Complaint: This regards CapitolOne. I paid off my balance last XXXX ( 2022 ). I directed them by letter to either give me a new account number out of fear there may have been some fraudulent charges to my account, or to just close the account. They did neither. Later, two monthly recurring charges appeared from websites I had unsubscribed to and CapitolOne allowed those charges when the account should have been shut down. I have called them at least three times, and I have written to them at least three times explaining the situation. Their only reply is an occasional letter telling me 'I still have options '' to make payments to them. They have never called or sent a letter that addresses my remarks. Currently, they claim I currently owe {$290.00}. This is just under {$100.00} for the two fraudulent charges they allowed, and late fees and an annual fee. This total will certainly continue to grow as they arbitrarily slap more late fees on it. In the meantime, because they have reported late and past due dates and fees, my credit rating has plummeted! I need CapitolOne to stop harassing me and fraudulently charging an account that should have closed 9 months ago.

Consumer Complaint: I have had my truck loan through Capital One for 3 years now. I have been repeatedly told by Capital One that I had a 10 day grace period beyond the 30 days. Capital one has repeatedly reported my payment late even though I pay within my grace period. I am trying to get a home loan and this is stopping me from getting it. I have XXXX XXXX helping me with this. Granted they have helped with moving a payment or 2 to the end of my loan, but that doesn't fix the problem.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I transferred my monies from one savings account at Capital One to the 360 savings account also at Capital One. I then tried to add my daughter as joint account holder ( who was a joint account holder on the first savings account ) and designate my beneficiaries. I talked to two different customer service reps at two different times and they could not help me until I added my cell phone number so they could verify my identification. I did that and the phone number was added to the account on XX/XX/2023. When I would go online to add my daughter, it would not " recogniize '' my phone number, with a list of reasons for that happening, and direct my to call an XXXX number. I have called this number several times now and every customer service rep has tried something different and can not get this resolved. I have been to the XXXX downtown branch of " Capital One Cafe '' on three different occasions to talk to a service rep in person and they can not help me. This last attempt was on XX/XX/2023. I brought my daughter with me, my id and my cell phone They sent me a verification to my cell and they viewed my id, and pulled my my account on their laptop. I showed them the screen online where it won't take my cell phone for verification and it directed them to call the XXXX number. They did so. I am sitting right in front of them with my ID, my cell phone and my daughter with her id and they still can't help me get my information added. The last thing the service rep said was that the cell number needed to be in their system for 30 days before they could add my joint account holder and beneficiaries to my account. What? Is this even legal? How can they make me wait to put pertinent information on my account? I am XXXX years old and this has caused my considerable distress and loss of sleep for over a month now. I want to know that if anything happens to me, my daughter can access my account for any emergency that arises

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 We received a package we did not order from a company we never heard of. We called the merchant and they sent us a return label and we returned the package the same day we received it. Our credit card was charged {$2900.00} for the item, but never credited for the return. We tried several times to resolve this with both the merchant and the credit card company. The merchant acknowledges the return of the item and that this was a fraudulent purchase. However, they indicated that we need to work through the credit card company to resolve this. The credit card company twice opened cases to review this activity. The first time they indicated they could not issue a credit since the merchant 's records indicate that we did in fact receive the product. I called again and explained that we never claimed that we didn't receive the product - our complaint was that we never ordered the product and we had immediately returned it. They re-opened the case and later closed it claiming that I didn't provide all the information they requested, but they never said what I failed to provide. On XX/XX/2023 I called both the merchant and the credit card company again. The merchant again told me this had to be resolved through the credit card company. The credit card company told me they would reopen the case again but I have received no further correspondence form them and the charge remains on our balance.

Consumer Complaint: This claim is regarding transactions not approved by me. I did not process these transactions and I have tried to work with both XXXX and Capital 1 bank to resolve these fraudulent transactions. My original claims started XX/XX/XXXX. I received notifications that fraudulent transactions were being attempted on my cards. ( see photos attached ) All together there are a total of {$6100.00} in fraudulent charges. I contacted Capital 1 on 3 different occasions. The first claim # XXXX was submitted on XX/XX/XXXX and approved in the amount of {$910.00}, during this conversation I stated that I did not approve any XXXX transactions since XX/XX/XXXX. I had to call in again to include the remaining transactions that were not originally included on XX/XX/XXXX claim ( claim # XXXX ). I called in again to dispute the remaining transactions on XX/XX/XXXX claim # XXXX. The lady that assisted me seemed confused and she did not include all the transactions I mentioned. The amount of this claim was {$2100.00} which was denied on XX/XX/XXXX. The total amount remaining to be refunded or credited due to these fraudulent transactions is {$3600.00}. Capital 1 did not do their due diligence in contacting me for additional information or backup for the transactions in question.

I am now being charged cash payments in addition to the finance charge which congress states is a violation. My finance charge encompasses the sum of all charges 15 usc 1605. CAPITAL ONE is not reporting false information to consumer reporting agencies to corers cash payments for my consumer transaction which falls under the definition of a finance charge.
