Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2023 I contacted Capital One credit card customer service and requested to have my credit report updated as a courtesy due to late payment reported. I advised them I was out of the country due to a death in the family and was unable to make my payment, they asked that I mail a letter to them explaining the same and it would be removed but to avail. I then disputed this via credit bureaus and no help. At this point I want to validate the credit card account in question. Creditor Information CAPITAL ONE XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment of {$13000.00} to my Capital One Quick Silver Card. My Card Balance at the time was only {$2800.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Capital One to refund me the Credit Balance in the amount of {$10000.00} in the form of a check as they stated they do not allow for ACH Transfers for Credit Balance Refund. Representative said, since you have a new account and since this is a large payment, we will have to wait 30 days before the payment clears. I said okay. Shortly after my card was restricted from making purchases. XX/XX/2023 I get a letter that I have to verify where the payment was coming from and my identity. I submitted my identity and the payment came from a XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, My credit card reflected the {$10000.00} being removed from the account. Since Then I have Spoken to at least 5 different representatives, who removed the card restriction and told me i should have a check in hand within 10-14 business days. One XXXX from Capital one whose id was XXXX XXXX XXXX from Capital one who I spoke to one XXXX XXXX who guaranteed me that i should have the check in hand by XX/XX/2023 On XX/XX/XXXX, I mailed a letter to the address provided to me by XXXX employee ID XXXX XXXX Today is XX/XX/XXXX, I called again. Spoke to a woman who transferred me to a supervisor who was unable to help me. that transferred me to another woman who i was explaining everything to and the call got disconnected. Later I called back after I didn't get a call back after the disconnect. I was helped by one XXXX whose ID Number is XXXX and he basically said the last person who was helping you submitted a form that now doesn't allow us to see what's going on and only that last person can help you and we don't have any way of contacting her or knowing who she is, since you weren't able to get her name and agent ID. This should not be allowed by a Major Bank as big as Capital One.

Consumer Complaint: I was scammed by a subscription service that required payment prior to accessing the service. It started around XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was charged for the service until about XXXX. I was scammed by XXXX and the scam was mishandled by my financial institution, Capital One. I provided my payment info and proceeded to try to use the service. That is when I was given the message that I have " no active subscription ''. But, my card was still charged by the company, not once, but TWICE per month for a subscription that I was never actually given access to. I was unable to " cancel '' the subscription since the account did not reflect me having one. Yet, I was still being charged for service I was not receiving. I reached out to the email provided by their website and never received a response from the company. I attempted to file a dispute with my bank so that I could be refunded. My claim was denied not once, but THREE separate times. I explained the situation each time to whatever representative I got on the phone and I was told that they understood the problem and I just had to wait for the claim to be approved. I even emailed them screenshots with proof of not having any access to their service. After the 30 day waiting period, I received a notification from Capital One telling me that the claim had been denied on the grounds that I agreed to the terms and conditions provided by the seller. I would call my bank back and explain each time that the terms and conditions do not cover customers being overcharged for a service that they are not receiving. Each time I was told by the representative that they understood and were unsure of why it was denied. Only to wait 30 days and have them deny my claim again. I was charged {$56.00} for services that were then withheld from me. I found their XXXX page which actually has another review of a customer with a very similar complaint. There is no reason my claim should have been denied the first time since this is an obvious fraud, much less being in favor of the scammer THREE separate times. The explanation that " I agreed to the terms and conditions '' does not even address the problem mentioned in my claim, that I was being charged for services that I was not receiving access to.

Consumer Complaint: I have an old Capital One card i never used. I received the XXXX XXXX monthly statement with a {$39.00} annual fee and promptly called to cancel my account ( see attached ). I shredded the card thinking everything was good to go. I just checked my credit and they have been adding late fees and reporting to the credit bureaus 30, 60, and 90 days late! The balance has now grown to {$150.00} with added late fees on an annual fee! Most importantly, I have received ZERO communication from Capital One for the past 5 months advising of a delinquent account. To my knowledge, this is a blatant violation of the FCRA along with other banking regulations. My wife- XXXX XXXX- is an authorized user on this account and her FICO has also been significantly impacted by this issue as well. I have contacted customer service requesting escalation of the issue as the agent who answered was clueless with regards to credit reporting and the damaged incurred by their blatant mismanagement of this situation.

Issue: Struggling to pay your bill
Subissue: Credit card company won't work with you while you're going through financial hardship
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to the capital one credit card customer service line to request a payment extension from the billing due date of XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX based upon my pay day is XX/XX/XXXX. When speaking with the first representative she advised that the request was declined and they do not offer payment extensions and they would not waive any late fees if fees incurred. I requested to speak with a supervisor. When speaking with the supervisor, i explained the situation and i was informed by the supervisor that if my payment was recieved on XX/XX/XXXX, there were no guarentees late fees could be waived. The supervisor wanted to transfer me again to another department to discuss waiving my fees along with amending my payment due dates. Prior to making a decision I requested for the supervisor to recap my concerns that was supposed to be noted to my account. The supervisor failed to recap the most important reason for my call is the payment extension of two days. I told the supervisor " I was now uncomfortable with this conversation because the purpose of my call was missed during the recap, and I need to begin recording this conversation. '' The supervisor told me I can not record our conversation as she does not give me permission to record and I asked the supervisor ( paraphrasing ) " why is she declining me recording her, well I decline her recording me during this call. ( Please be advised, I never recorded the supervisor ) The supervisor then says " I have warned you not to record me, you do whatever you got ta due. I am disconnecting this call. '' I advised the supervisor I will be filing a formal complaint with CFPB and she hung up on me. I have been a customer of Capital One since XX/XX/XXXX ( 5 years ) I have gone from having credit card being hacked, to late payments years ago. The purpose of my call was not to pay my bill at all, but to pay it 2 days later without incurring a penalty. The treatment I received during this call was uncalled for and disrespectful.
