Consumer Complaint: Recently, I began taking my credit more seriously and noticed a few items on my credit report that were reporting inaccurately. I have tried to resolve those issue but no luck. I was faced financial hardship losing my job due to the pandemic layoff. The CARES Act, passed in XX/XX/2020, gave legal protection to consumers by providing loan forbearance. Under the act, consumers were given the option of not making payments on their loans without suffering any credit-related consequences, like late payments and delinquencies. Also, creditors must make accommodations for people having trouble making payments. But I was never contacted. Due to covid-19 forbearance program regulations it states that no late payments are to be reported to the financial credit bureau during the time of Covid forbearance period. I have late payments on my report that I want to be removed because I am a victim of Covid 19 and legally you should not have put them there. The program regulations 15 USC 13 ( a ) states that no late payments are to be reported to the financial credit bureau during the time of Covid forbearance period.

Incorrect charges and last fee were made and added to the original account that I disputed with capital one. They never refund/credit the amount unauthorizes chargers made on my account. We were going back and forth until they finally closed the account without my knowledge.

Consumer Complaint: There has been two fraudulent credit card accounts reported all three credit bureaus for several years. This is done by capital one bank. I have made several attempts over the years to rectify the situation. Every attempt has resulted in the information still reporting incorrectly. Ive asked credit one bank to provide me with account signatures and details and I have felt to do so. They say that the account is legitimate as per my telephone number. Im a public figure and my number is used in share by many people. I have never looked at the address that they claim legitimizes the account. Consumer Complaint: Someone used my card without my remission and unbeknownst to me for quite some time, to place a bet on a website XXXX. I have several accounts and larger deposits and withdrawals happen quite frequently in this particular account so {$500.00} was not so large an amount I even noticed it missing. However, there were several of these charges I had no knowledge of, and one of the charges actually bounced and Im not sure exactly what happened. The money was evidently owed to XXXX and somehow they couldnt retrieve the funds from my account ( thank god ) so I received a letter - only one letter and this letter wasnt from capital one or XXXX XXXX it was from a collection agency ) and called to inquire on what the heck they were talking about. The letter said I owed {$500.00} plus due to XXXX. I immediately called capital one and disputed the charge and found the others. I closed the account immediately. I also called XXXX and explained what happened. They sent a form about it being fraud I completed the form and sent back to them and WITHIN ONE WEEK I WAS CLEARED OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY. THEIR INVESTIGATION FOUND ME NOT AT FAULT AND THEY CONSIDERED THE MATTER CLOSED AND RESOLVED. Well.the next week I get notice from capital one ( in the form of them withdrawing {$500.00} from my new account without notice or anything in writing ) to cover the dispute which I had done. It they reversed and said I still owed the money. What in the world! So.I sent them the paperwork from XXXX two different times. Yet this is still unresolved. Ive called 6 times and each time on the phone for over an hour and everyone understands and says Im being transferred to the correct department ( Ive been transferred me over 13 times during one call because they were confused between capital one credit and bank ) theyre resubmitting the dispute and I should win once the info is reviewed. Well my question is how long is this supposed to take. They have my money the whole time. I furnish them the paperwork showing that I was not at fault. I am not responsible Im not held at fault. I sent it to them. XXXX sent it to them, so Im not sure why I have not been cleared of all fault the funds been returned to me, and that account closed. Ive called way too many times and I have been lied to no one seems to be able to know how to actually get this taken care of. Its as if the company is too big for its own good and its unfair to me the customer who is out {$500.00} while they conduct an investigation that isnt even necessary being that I supplied the paperwork from their company that they hired showing Im not at fault.

Not once did I see a pending capital one payment on my account summary and I checked every single day for it because I needed to know when it posted so I can inquire about my available credit. As of today XX/XX/XXXX that alledge fraudulent check has been resloved by my wife and her bank XXXX XXXX ). My complaint is Capital One has claimed that is a XXXX bank but after calling them they are closed on this Sunday and my funds are locked.
