Consumer Complaint: Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, ( 15 U.S. Code 1681c, subsection 2, no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any adverse item ( s ) of information, other than records of convictions of crimes. No adverse item besides, the conviction of crimes, should be displaying on my credit report. I did NOT give consent to XXXX, XXXX or XXXX to furnish any negative, derogatory or adverse item ( s ) currently on my report, which is a VIOLATION of my personal & privacy rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 ( 4 ) a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' This hard inquiry is an adverse item these credit reporting agencies are reporting without my permission which is against the law.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One has engaged in dishonesty and immorality with its billing practices. Capital One refuses to refund a sky high billing charge after its agent promised it would be refunded and Capital one charges me almost 30 % interest on that billing charge. Embedded in its terms and conditions are policies and clauses that allow Capital One the ability to FLEECE its customers. Also I informed Capital One I was on hard times and asked what programs they had to assist me and I was told by its agent that the only way I would be assisted was to become delinquent on the bill and take the credit hit. Yet I called and spoke to another agent who said they could help me and then the agent grew silent and refused to provide any info on how I could be assisted. I was also told by a Capital One agent that I agreed in the terms and conditions to forever waive my right to pay the principle down early with extra payments. The agent explained that Capital One does something called Associated Payments where nomatter how much you pay early they will never apply the excess payment to your principal. Ever. This is evil. Stay Away From Capital One if you don't want to be fleeced.

Consumer Complaint: I recently opened a credit card with capital one to use with my mother 's XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX expenses all in one place ... Capital One instantaneously sent car to restricted status and fraud alerting it once activated. Unable to provide assistance to my mother in her time of need and was treated like a criminal when I tried to use it at local XXXX XXXX and XXXX. Will not do business with this financial institution again and hope they all end up in a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. They are such a scam they're call center if filled with XXXX who refuse to tell you that they are reading a script, probably in the XXXX. Not safe for American consumers financial or judicial lives!

Consumer Complaint: Im trying to access my reward miles and convert them to one of the airlines that is included in the transfer program. Been having trouble logging in as it asks for verification code from my mobile phone number. However it says the phone number is not associated with account. Called a customer rep 2 separate times to confirm that the number is correct ( has been correct ever since ). They sent me to the online tech support team and they said that theres nothing they can do, it is up to the system to be able to log you in with the verification code. No one can override it. That is ridiculous. This isnt the first time, others have the same issues, Ive read posts from customers online.
