Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am a victim of identity theft. Someone has been hacking my accounts since the beginning of the year and I have called capital one to make several complaints. I have opened several claims with them but whenever they deny a claim, they never give me any type of investigation process or proof. I think it's completely unfair that they can just deny claims when I am literally telling them that I did not authorize these transactions. Can you please have them reinvestigate these claims and give me my money back. # XXXX # XXXX # XXXX I did not authorize these transactions and I have told them multiple times. Because of Capital One 's irresponsibility, I faced an eviction and lost my home. Please have them rectify this.

Consumer Complaint: I want to file this complaint with CAPITAL ONE. I sent them letters regarding the inaccuracies in my report such as date of last activity, date opened, date reported, status, etc. They took more than 30 days to complete the investigation and they claimed that they did a thorough investigation. However, when I checked my report, I did not see any changes made at all. The inaccurate information are still reporting. My rights have been violated numerous times. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States that I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A Section 2. It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instruction. I have also attached the FTC report with the report number XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I made a payment of {$110.00} on XX/XX/2023. Received an alert for fraudulent activity triggered by the payment. I called the fraud department to lift the hold and was told that I first needed to verify that I own the payor account. When I asked why they refused to provide the reason for the fraud hold. Even after verifying credit card and identification information for their security protocols. For context I have used the same payor account for the same card through the mobile app without changes for over 2 years. I am also legally entitled to any relevant account information. They are withholding information that I'm legally entitled to while demanding verification for a payment method I've used for several years.

Consumer Complaint: I have a cancellation of payment arrangement letter from capital one dated XX/XX/2023. I have a charge of debt currently reporting on my credit from this same company ; yet they were paid in full XX/XX/2023 ( see attachment ). Called Capital One directly. They admit I paid as agreed and on time ; yet they can not tell me why they cant correct it in their system. The pink slip for the vehicle was sent to XXXX when capital one receive and cashed their check in XXXX of this year. They would not have sent the pink slip with an owing remaining balance. I have not been able to qualify for housing or another vehicle loan because of this. Please advise.

I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the lack of action taken to correct and remove fraudulent accounts that persist on my credit report. Despite my diligent efforts, the presence of these inaccuracies continues to impact my reputation adversely. On XX/XX/2023, XX/XX/2023 and XXXX XXXX, I submitted dispute letters to CAPITAL ONE, detailing the fraudulent accounts and requesting their prompt correction. Regrettably, to date, I have not witnessed any substantive action taken to address these discrepancies. This prolonged delay is distressing, as I anticipated a swift resolution to ensure the accuracy of my credit file. To assist in your investigation, I have attached my Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) report with the reference number XXXX. I believe this report provides additional context and evidence supporting the urgency of this matter. I am genuinely disappointed that the information on my credit report does not accurately reflect my financial history, as I expect from a reputable credit reporting agency.
