At first i thought it was my girlfriend so i didnt pay it any mind, but when i noticed that the transactions were getting higher I decided to confront her and she said it hasn't her. I looked into it and decided to report them as fraud because we couldnt find my card. I reported this to capital one and after making me wait 45 days they said they denied the claim because i logged in multiple times, even though i explained to them multiple times i thought it was my girlfriend. Consumer Complaint: I would like to report suspected fraud. Over the last week, several credit cards and mail from credit cards have been sent to my house for someone who doesnt live at my address. Ive rented this home for over two years and have just recently seen this name. Credit related mail has been sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have several correspondences from XXXX XXXX XXXX, Capital One, XXXX XXXX XXXX and a few unmarked envelopes. Consumer Complaint: I was at work all day XXXX on Monday XXXX, 2023. I got home, checked my email and saw that my primary bank XXXX had sent me an email congratulating me on a hard inquiry. I checked to see what in the world that was about and saw that Capital One NA had made a hard inquiry on my credit. I was at work all day long and with absolute no interest what so ever in obtaining a credit card. I immediately took action and followed what XXXX said to do, which was to contact all three credit card bureaus, I called XXXX first and the lady helped me by alerting the other credit bureaus and adding an alert on my account. I'm really scared that I'm a victim of identity theft, I have no interest in obtaining a credit card at the moment due to me working really really hard on paying off all my debt. I'm really upset that this happened please help...
