Consumer Complaint: American express is still sending solicitations to my email XXXX. I asked for business credit card with travel benefits for my trip to california and American Express will not approve. I asked not to be contacted if American Express does not want to do business the way i asked. I filed a complaints, asked to be removed from email and mailing lists. filed a opt out with experian to include all my emails and addresses. I also filed a do not market with XXXX for all names and addresses. American Express refuses to listen to my request for a business travel card, yet keeps contacting me. I want to be left alone and i do not want to be contacted unless i am being approved for the Business Travel rewards card.

Consumer Complaint: My mother-in-law purchased an American Express Serve card thinking that it was a gift card. The product was placed in the store amongst the other gift cards and came in packaging that looks like a gift card. In order to use the card, you are required to set up an account with American Express and provide identifying personal information including a social security number. This is product is marketed in a deceitful manner that makes it appear to be a gift card when it is actually a ploy to either harvest personal data, or steal money from people who load it at the store. I contacted the number on the card XXXX and was told that setting up an account is the only way to use the card.

Consumer Complaint: I am an American Express XXXX XXXX holder, for which privilege I pay {$5000.00} a year in fees alone. I have been an Amex customer since XXXX. You would think that qualifies me as a good customer, right? WRONG!!! I called the dedicated customer service line XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX on Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a woman called XXXX based in Florida. I wanted to put a charge into dispute. I was on hold for 4 minutes and then for a further 8 minutes while XXXX " transferred '' me. After 12 minutes 30 seconds she came back to me to tell me the disputes department was closed on Sundays and she could not help me. This complaint is about three things : 1. American Express refuses to accept my dispute. This is illegal under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Amex encourages you to contact them via phone about disputes, but on weekends they refuse to accept disputes 2. This representative does not know what she is doing. How can I wait 12 minutes to be told the disputes department is closed? Why wouldn't she know that when I first spoke with her? When I told her that she should know this and she needs retraining she said I " insulted '' her. Fortunately these calls are taped 3. This is not the sort of service Amex advertises for the extortionate fees that it charges. This is a " bait and switch '' fee policy. My fees should be partially refunded for this lack of service, I am supposedly paying for

Consumer Complaint: 1. I purchased a prepaid credit card from https : //www.amexgiftcard.com/ on XXXX XXXX for {$81.00}. I used my citi credit card to make the purchase. 2. I tried to use the card and ran into problems. I called amexgiftcard on XXXX, and they processed a refund, including purchase fees, and emailed me that I will get it in 5-7 business days XXXX XXXX. The card is canceled as it was being refunded and can not be used. At the same time, I purchased another card from them, which worked and I was able to use it. 3. After waiting for several weeks and not receiving a refund, I called them. They told me they are sorry, and they will email the " back office '' to process the refund. 4. Nothing happened. I called 3 more times, each time spending at least an hour on the phone, with the same response in # 3. 5. They never processed my refund or gave me back my money.

Consumer Complaint: I opened American Express XXXX card on XX/XX/XXXX, and there was a promotion for new card holder the applicant will receive XXXX membership rewards points after spend {$5000.00} on purchases on my new card in first 6 months. Plus, I would earn 10x points on eligible purchase on my new card at U.S. gas station and U.S. Supermarkets. by deadline date of XX/XX/XXXX, I spend qualified purchase total {$5300.00} but did not see neither the XXXX bonus points nor the 10x points on gas station or supermarket reflected in my account ( see attachment 1 : Amex promotion screenshot ; attachment 2 : Not receiving 10x points on supermarket or gas station purchase ; attachment 3 : Amex Platinum Card Activity History XXXX to XXXX, this does not include membership fee, payment, credit but does include refund as negative balance ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Amex online chat and been advised that I need to spend {$560.00} more by XX/XX/XXXX to meet welcome bonus spending requirement, and from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I made total {$880.00} amount of purchase. ( see attachment 4 : Amex XXXX Evidence ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Amex online chat again and been advised that I need to spend {$140.00} more by XX/XX/XXXX to meet welcome bonus spending requirement, and from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I made total {$460.00} amount of purchase. ( see attachment 5 : Amex XXXX Evidence ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Amex online chat one more time to check my spending balance. At the beginning, Amex representative was saying that I am {$13.00} short, but after I questioned that, he confirmed that I have met the spending requirement and will get my welcome bonus points unless any refund or return payment, and there was no such transaction happened during that period. ( see attachment 6 : Amex XXXX Evidence ) The whole time I have been following whatever info Amex advised to me but did not get bonus points as promised. So far I have contacted Amex customer service via online chat and phone for over 20 times, and they keep promising wait later and they will credit, last time they said by XX/XX/XXXX I will see all these points being credited to my account, but when I checked on XX/XX/XXXX those points are still not in my account. I contacted Amex again and they refused to credit me because I did not meet spending requirement ( which is completely not true ), but when I ask for details they could not provide any. At this point, I'm afraid keep connecting with Amex will not solve this issue and I want to file this complaint instead. Thank you very much. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: There seems to be an American Express account open in my name or a similar name to mine, and I, on the other hand, never make a late payment. I always have paid my debts, and times I do not have any cards that I was late, so this is ridiculous to let this go that far. Plus, I never opened her American Express. Its not my account, and I do believe that this account belongs to my former roommate, XXXX XXXX XXXX, who either used my name when he opened it or just added me as a co-signer. It seems like the credit card was open in XXXX or XX/XX/2020, and its got defaulted, and XXXX or XXXX, and the credit limit shows XXXX, but the balance shows almost {$6000.00}. Would you please help me to take it off my credit report? I did try contacting credit report and agency XXXX, and they twice to do told me that its going to stay the way it is, which is ridiculous. Would you please help me? Im just trying my best to live in these challenging times without any problems, and I dont need this in my life right now. Would you please help me
