Consumer Complaint: American Express supplied me with a credit card which I paid on time for over 16 years. An insurance product, which is involved in a class action lawsuit I am a part of, did not reemburse me for a claim. I disputed this issue for over 2 years. Since this was a breach of contract and the tactic to avoid payment, I stoped paying my monthly payments to American Express which resulted in my account closure and a rapid credit loss. no phonecall letter or email has changed this problwm.

This is a direct violation of The Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act ( FCCPA ). The FCCPA protects consumers from certain debt collection actions. Specifically, it prohibits debt collectors and telemarketers from making robo-calls to your cellular phone.

Consumer Complaint: Called American Express prepaid services at XXXX XXXX with multiple agents on XXXX XXXX who advised they have authorized payments at online retailers. Given 24 hour wait times to wait for authorization for prepaid card to be declined. Spoke again to another agent on XX/XX/XXXX who advised to use at yet another retailer and to no avail the card was still declined. However a pending charge of {$0.00} was charged and pending no agents can explain why the pending charge is there. Requested a supervisor and told none are available and to call back in 2 hours and then hung up on.

I called customer service which was not able to help me and suggest that I continue making transactions elsewhere. Ive seen other people on line struggle with the same issue. Consumer Complaint: I had been eagerly looking forward to buying XXXX gifts for my kids using an AMEX gift card that I had purchased for {$300.00}. However, much to my dismay, when I tried to use the gift card to make purchases, the transactions did not go through. I tried multiple times, carefully entering the required information to ensure that it was correct, but to no avail. I even tried using the card on different websites such as XXXX and XXXX, hoping that it would work, but it didn't. Frustrated and confused, I contacted customer support for both XXXX and XXXX, hoping that they could help me resolve the issue. However, even after spending hours on the phone with their customer support representatives, I was still unable to make any purchases using the gift card. As a last resort, I contacted the AMEX gift card customer support and explained my problem to them. I was hoping that they could offer some help or provide me with options to resolve the issue. However, much to my disappointment, they informed me that there was nothing they could do to help. I was left feeling baffled and frustrated as I had been misled into buying a gift card that I couldn't use to make purchases. It was a terrible experience, especially since I had been looking forward to using the gift card to buy gifts. The fact that I had lost my hard-earned money only added to my frustration and disappointment.
