Consumer Complaint: I have sent a complaint previously and they gave me instructions stating that i could send a permission to return letter to withdraw my money. My reference numbers for the complaint are CFPB XXXX XXXX : XXXX & XXXX. I just need DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS on how American express wants me to do this permission to return. I had my bank manager send a email to the American express fraud department. But i need exact details on who my bank manager needs to contact and every detail he needs to confirm and write to this correspondence so this ordeal goes as smooth as possible. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: Well, I got contacted by XXXX ( XXXX ) and they informed that I got some issues with my Amex card and they wanted to resolve it. So I trusted them and given my computer access to them. Then later they told me to call Amex and convey the message that XXXX ( XXXX ) has resolved the issues from their end and now its Amex turn to fix it further. Then I grab my Amex credit card and dial the number which is on the back of my card and the representative told me to buy XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX worth {$3500.00}. I followed everything what Amex told me & later I realized that I have been getting scammed. So my only concern is how did I reach a scammer when I dialed the Amex number on the back of my card when XXXX ( XXXX ) had the remove access of my computer. I doubt that they might had the access to my cell phone as well. Then later in the day I went to XXXX and they did not help me with the refund and I called Amex & they said that they never ask for any Gift Cards. I want to dispute the amount from Amex but they are not helping me. This is why I am writing this to you because I am retired and on a very little social security. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing complaint as I found inaccurate information AMERICAN EXPRESS accounts. I tried to fix the issues by sending them a letter through the mail ; however, I was not satisfied with the results. The accounts were not verified. Inaccurate information, such as payment status, payment history, date opened, and date of late payments are still being reported. My rights were violated according to 15 U.S.C. Section 602, I have the right to privacy, and 15 U.S.C Section 604 A Section 2 states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. I have also attached the FTC report with the report number XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I found two unknown charges on my card ; one from XXXX for {$140.00} and the other from XXXX for {$140.00}. In the case of the XXXX charge, they too had no record of it and specifically asked me to dispute the charge on my card. I opened two disputes with American Express. The terms of the Fair Credit Billing Act, 15 USC Chapter 41, subchapter I, part D are very clear. The creditor shall ... " Send a written explanation or clarification to the obligor, after having conducted an investigation, setting forth to the extent applicable the reasons why the creditor believes the account of the obligor was correctly shown in the statement and, upon request of the obligor, provide copies of documentary evidence of the obligor 's indebtedness. In the case of a billing error where the obligor alleges that the statement reflects goods not delivered to the obligor, a creditor may not construe such amount to be correctly shown unless he determines that such goods were actually delivered and provides the obligor with a statement of such determination. '' Rather than conduct an investigation, or provide me with the documents requested, American Express sent out a template denial letter in complete disregard of the law ( documents attached ). You will note that even though these were two independent transactions, requiring two seperate investigations, the information provided is EXACTLY the same.

Consumer Complaint: I called and spoke on a recorded line to an American Express representative about my account asked before I did the charge to XXXX in XXXX. If I will receive 5 % back I was told yes I went ahead and did the charge and only received one percent. Yesterday XX/XX/XXXX I was told that they would look into it and make the adjustment today I called back and the representative told me that the {$17.00} that I shouldve earned is not gon na be adjusted and I will only earn the XXXX dollars at 1 %. American Express listen to the call with the representative before the charge was done verifying that it would be 5 % or I wouldve never charged on my account when I even if I close my account, American Express representative did not care it will rather lose a customer for the {$16.00} adjustment when Ive been with you guys for 17 years, horrible service and not recommend American Express

Consumer Complaint: I received a {$100.00} amex ( American Express ) gift card from my employer. For over a year I have tried to use this card numerous times. It does not work on any online retailer I have tied. My card shows it is activated and has a balance of {$100.00} on the amex website but I am getting decline for every purchase I try to make. All attempted purchases are for les than the balance of the card yet it is still getting decline. Amex has made it impossible to contact customer service. The number they provided on their website only takes you to an automated line with no chance of every speaking to a human being.

Consumer Complaint: The law states 15 U.S. Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports ( a ) In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 2 ) In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. I didn't give this company any written instructions to furnish my credit report for any reasons. This company is in violation of multiple laws like Identity Theft as I did not provide my personal information to them and In violation of 15 USC 1681b permissible purpose. I am requesting that they show proof of the written instructions given from me or remove the inquires from all three of the credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) immediately as it has caused me to have a bad reputation, character, and denial of credit from lenders due to inquiry.
