Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: In late XXXX I got my card stolen in the city of XXXX XXXX, CA. A few days later I called Wells Fargo and disputed the fraudulent transactions totaling to about {$500.00}. A lot of the charges that were made were in the state of Arizona, which I have never been to. At first, I did not get my money back because the representative filing my claim did it wrong and reported I had my card in my possession ( which I did not ). I then called back and the new representative from Wells Fargo told me my claim was filed wrong due to them writing in the report my card was in my possession when it was not. She then proceeded to apologize and gave me the credit. I also received a letter in the mail that my claim was resolved and the provisional credit was final. Months later, I get money withdrawn from my account for the total of {$500.00} stating the credit reversal. When I called Wells Fargo they stated it was due to the merchant proving the transaction were used with a physical card and they were authorized. How is this possible? I got my card stolen from me. This left me in disbelief because I got robbed of my money, that I finally got back, just to get it taken from my account again. I'm a XXXX XXXX so this money is a big deal to me. Wells Fargo kept explaining how they can't help me.

Issue: Problem caused by your funds being low
Subissue: Overdrafts and overdraft fees
Consumer Complaint: Im so tired of having to file complaints to the CFPB because Wells Fargo is XXXX. I got a deposit from XXXX for {$570.00} that was pending on my account, XXXX hours later Wells Fargo removed it off of my account and I contacted them to ask why. The agent told me that she still sees the {$570.00} refund in her system yet she does not know why it was taken off however, encourage me to wait XXXX to XXXX business days to see if it would get reflected back onto the account. Wells Fargo with held the {$570.00} deposit of mine and then approved XXXX transactions, for {$500.00} and XXXX for {$130.00} and then assessed me an insufficient fund fee charge for each of XXXX of those transactions Right when those transactions posted, Wells Fargo posted my credit of {$570.00} and left me negative when originally that money shouldve been there already yet they did their typical XXXX move and charged me fees. I am so sick of having to deal with this every single time

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Denied request to lower payments
Consumer Complaint: We bought our truck back in XX/XX/XXXX for {$29000.00}. We made multiple truck payments and stayed ahead. We started falling behind in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and tried to make up payments as we went. We got threatening phone calls and ever agent we spoke to that they are trying the truck from us even though we where trying to catch up. I made a payment in XX/XX/XXXX and told them I would make another large payments to 100 % catch up in XX/XX/XXXX when I received my tax return they got very upset with me told me that that was not OK and that they were not waiting and they were going to come take my vehicle. I received a written notice on XX/XX/XXXX stating that my entire balance of my vehicle was due in the amount of {$29000.00} making it seem that I have only made a {$300.00} payment total to my truck that doesnt make sense to me since I was paying it frequently for over a year and a half of {$650.00} {$.00} a month when I did reach out to Wells Fargo multiple times to try and set my account straight. They told me they couldnt adjust my payments. They could not adjust my loan, they could not help me with trying to come up with a plan to get ahead, that they were just going to take the vehicle, and even if I did make monthly payments it did not matter because even if I was still one month behind they were still taking my vehicle from me.
