Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue: Escrow, taxes, or insurance
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo refused to give us back the extra money {$27000.00} we paid while on XXXX XXXX Otherwise, Wells Fargo said that we owed them {$19000.00} plus escrow while in XXXX XXXX and didnt say anything to the court. Also, Wells Fargo tried to collect from us {$210000.00} that was removed by court order. When we called them to discuss it they kept telling us that they couldnt understand us because of our language accent that is discrimination. We were forced to pay a lawyer to deal with Wells Fargo for us. We paid for our homeowner insurance however Wells Fargo still charged us escrow for homeowner insurance.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024 I attempted to pay from my checking account that I used to regularly make payments, {$23000.00} I was told I could not because it was more than the balance. So I authorized a payment of the full balance due of {$22000.00}. The money was withdrawn from my bank account and paid to Wells Fargo not later than XX/XX/2024. Wells Fargo put a " hold '' on that payment and denied 2 subsequent purchases to my embarrassment claiming I could not use my credit limit because they had a 14 day " hold '' on the payment. My bank confirmed to me that Wells Fargo received the payment on XXXX XXXX. I thereupon told Wells Fargo to close my account because I will not deal with a Bank that holds my payment for " no good reason ''. Something has to be done about actions like this.

Consumer Complaint: I noticed on my last statement I was receiving non Wells Fargo atm fees. This is something I have never had before. I called in and the first representative said they needed the dates of the fees or they couldnt be looked up. I knew that was incorrect and requested escalation, the next representative also said they could only look up by dates the fees were assessed as well. Im tired of being lied to by Wells Fargo. I told the representative to look at the past 90 days an amazingly she could see the fees and kindly offered to reverse 2 of them. They have the nerve to lie to me and treat me like Im not intelligent enough to know they have all the fee information right in front of them, what an insult. This company continues to show how they are out to defraud the consumer.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check for {$69000.00} to Wells Fargo business checking account on XX/XX/24, the receipt I received stated that funds will be available on XX/XX/24, however on XX/XX/24, I received an email from Wells Fargo stating that the funds will be held until XX/XX/24, due to deposit excess. I have deposited larger checks before and it cleared without any issues. I have been banking with WF for 5 years. My account is in good standing, I never had a check returned. So I called WF and was told they can not remove the hold, they will release {$5000.00} on XX/XX/24 however the remains {$64000.00} will not be released until after XX/XX/24. Again, I have deposited bigger checks and they cleared with no issues. I dont understand why my funds are being held. This is a business checking account and I have multiple workers to pay. Please help me with resolving this issue with WF. Thank you.
