Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: My Wells Fargo bank card was expiring in XX/XX/XXXX. Apparently, my bank mailed out my new card on XX/XX/XXXX, to my home address. All my mail gets dropped by USPS into the common mailbox location that holds mailboxes for the entire residential community. All my mail goes to my mailbox, and I have never experienced mail theft before. However, this time I did not receive my new bank card in the mail. On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email from my bank that my account was overdrawn, and it had a balance of - {$260.00} ( negative balance ). I logged into my Wells Fargo online bank account and found that there were 16 transactions made using the missing card on my account by someone other than me. I have never shared my pin code on my bank card with anyone ever. So immediately I called Wells Fargo Bank and reported my card was stolen. I was told on the phone by the banker that a new card was mailed to me on XX/XX/XXXX, that I never received. Also, the banker cancelled my card as " stolen '', sent out a " new/replacement '' card and filed a report with the bank. Here 's the summary : ( XXXX ) On XX/XX/XXXX, the banker on the phone assisted me to file a claim with Wells Fargo for {$2200.00}, Claim XXXX ( XXXX ) On XX/XX/XXXX, another banker on the phone assisted me to file another claim with Wells Fargo for {$12.00}, Claim XXXX Wells Fargo has XXXX my " stolen '' card with a new card by home delivering my new card to me. On XX/XX/XXXX Wells Fargo closed my claims stating there wasn't any evidence provided by me. They requested for a copy of the police report and documentation from my local post office. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a police report for mail theft. Case number : XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a report with my local post office. Service Request # XXXX. My local post office has confirmed to me in writing that several residents in my residential community have reported mail theft in my area. On XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed documentation in PDF format to Wells Fargo Claim 's department, as suggested by Wells Fargo. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Wells Fargo Bank 's Claim 's department to check up the status of my claim. To my shock I was informed that my claim will remain closed as police report and documentation from USPS postal office is not considered enough evidence to support my case. I was told that I could not call any other department or resource within Wells Fargo to pursue my claim/request. I need help from CFPB in getting my funds recovered from Wells Fargo as the bank approved the transactions that were made on my stolen card by someone other than me ( most of these fraudulent transactions were made by the thief in a casino ). I have been a Wells Fargo member for over 28 years, and I have never abused my card in such a manner. Please HELP!!!. Am happy to be contacted at the below number.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I called the bank, Wells Fargo in XXXX, TX, because I was told by the bank that my account had been put on hold. When I called the bank, the person I spoke with would not tell me who put a hold on my bank account or why a hold was placed on my bank account. I had my son call the bank in a 3-way phone call with the bank and we were told that Wells Fargo would not discuss anything about my account unless we provided them with a reference number. I, to my knowledge, have never received a reference number from Wells Fargo and we tried to explain that to them with no success. I live in assisted living and do not have transportation to XXXX, TX from XXXX, TX and my son lives in XXXX, AK and it would be inconvenient for him to travel to XXXX just to try and get this problem corrected. We asked to speak to a supervisor and Wells Fargo told us we could file a complaint, but the person who would respond to the complaint would not talk to us without the reference number which we do not have. I have no way to access my funds, including my Social Security checks that are being deposited at Wells Fargo unless this can be resolved.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX or XXXX I hired XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX to repair my roof at my home. After they completed the job, I ran into a XXXX XXXX that made me unavailable for XXXX weeks. My phone was down and every attempt XXXX XXXX XXXX made to contact me about payment was unsuccessful. XXXX XXXX then decided to file to put a mechanic XXXX on my property. Shortly after XXXX XXXX made this filing I was able to secure a new cell phone and got in contact with XXXX XXXX and resolved the issue. I spoke with both the owner of XXXX XXXX and the lawyer who filed for the XXXX XXXXXXXX personally and the file and XXXX XXXXXXXX was withdrawn immediately. Never did Wells Fargo or any lawyers from Wells Fargo contact me at any point in time regarding this situation which lasted less than XXXX weeks. But come to find out recently, Wells Fargo charged me over {$4000.00} in lawyer fees regarding this situation that I resolved personally, with the owner of XXXX XXXX and the lawyer who filed the claim. Wells Fargo hid these miscellaneous lawyer costs from me and added it to the amount I owed them and put my home in foreclosure in XXXX. I then filed for bankruptcy still unaware that a major portion of the amount I was behind to Wells Fargo were these miscellaneous lawyer fees for lawyers I never spoke to, they never provided me a service, they never even communicated with the courts, and no judge had even been assigned to set a hearing, yet they charged me thousands of dollars for a claim that was withdrawn less then a couple weeks after it was made. Fast forward to now it is XXXX and after 3 years of bankruptcy I had my bankruptcy dismissed. Right before I had my bankruptcy dismissed I owed alittle over {$6000.00}. After I dismissed my bankruptcy the amount I owed ballooned all the way to over {$13000.00}. I was irate when the amount I owed increased by such a large amount in a matter of days that I filed a complaint with CFPB against XXXX XXXX who bought my mortgage from Wells Fargo during my bankruptcy in XXXX. Ever since then I have personally investigated how the amount I owe is over {$12000.00} when I paid over {$36000.00} into my bankruptcy since XXXX and I was under the impression that I was only XXXX or 4 months behind my mortgage with Wells Fargo when I originally filed for bankruptcy in XXXX. This investigation led me to uncover that Wells Fargo added these hidden lawyer fees for the XXXX XXXX XXXX misunderstanding by charging me full price for their in house lawyers who did absolutely nothing to deserve that money on my behalf or Wells Fargos behalf because I handled the misunderstanding with XXXX XXXX and their lawyer. In addition to hiding these thousands of dollars in miscellaneous fees and lawyer costs, Wells Fargo attempted to take my home through foreclosure, which led me to file for bankruptcy in XXXX, and 1 year into my bankruptcy, Wells Fargo attached these ambiguous fees to my loan and sold my loan to XXXXXXXX XXXX without informing me and only informing my bankruptcy attorneys who unwittingly just assumed it was true. Please help me uncover Wells Fargos illegal practices in charging me lawyer fees for a situation where their in house lawyers did nothing.

Consumer Complaint: I am formally complaining against WELLS FARGO CARD SERVICES I for a number of consumer laws that they are in violation of. 15USC1681 ( A ) ( 2 ) dealing with exclusions and how I never gave them the right to report any of my transactions to any 3rd party ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) along with 15USC6801 and 15 USC6802 ( A ) ( B ) ( C ). I have contacted WELLS FARGO CARD SERVICES who has been totally non compliant through this entire process and has been adamant about breaking consumer laws.
