Consumer Complaint: I purchased a car through a scam company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which informed me that XXXX is their parent company and I should send {$20.00} XXXX via wire transfer to their account # XXXX at Wells Fargo. I never received the car and can no longer contact the seller. Wells Fargo opened multiple cases and concluded with we can not refund your money with no explanation other than the money is not in their account any longer. I disagreed and they opened a new cases resulting in the same conclusion. I also contacted the Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency ( OCC ) concurrently. The OCC agrees with Wells Fargo citing the money is gone. They mentioned the XXXX which I don't understand since this is a consumer transaction. I also contacted my local police, The New York Attorney General, The Federal Trade Commission and the XXXX Florida police to no avail. Wells Fargo opened a fraudulent wire transfer account without proper due diligence and I believe I should be refunded since I relied on their reputation in sending the funds. Wells Fargo provided no information on the extent of their investigation and why they reached their conclusion other than the funds are gone. By opening these fraudulent accounts Wells Fargo is facilitating consumer scams. I can not believe that Wells Fargo can open a fraudulent wire transfer account that hurts consumers with impunity. I am over XXXX XXXX XXXX and was not worried wiring funds to a WellsFargo customer. Any help your fine XXXX XXXX can give to recover my funds will be greatly appreciated. Best regards, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My accountant had requested my business Credit card statements for 2022. I found that they were not online from XXXX through XXXX. I have call Wells Fargo every month for the past 6 months. They keep saying that they mailed them, I then confirm the address is correct and I never receive them. I'm now going to be penalized by the IRS for being late on my business taxes and personal taxes. I even asked for a supervisor and made a formal complaint and they said someone from the Complaint Department would contact me in 2 business days. That was over 2 weeks ago.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: Wells Fargo had a major outage in XXXX of XXXX. Since that time, I have been unable to login to Wells Fargo online. This was a big problem for me, because I received my statements exclusively through Wells Fargo online. After multiple contacts via phone, mail, and at the branch, I was unable to get my access restored. So, I switched to another bank in XXXX of XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX, I was alerted to fraudulent charges on my card via the credit bureaus. Wells Fargo never tried to contact me about these charges. They just reported me to the credit bureaus. I am 100 % certain that I did not make these charges. I had not used the card for over a year. And the charges were for things like XXXX, which we don't even have in our area. I immediately alerted Wells Fargo to the fraudulent charges. And they said the charges would be removed. I have this in writing from them. Wells Fargo did not follow through with what they said. And they dinged my credit report again. At this point, I hadn't even received a bill for these charges. I hadn't received statements from Wells Fargo since XXXX of XXXX. Wells Fargo doesn't appear to care about fraudulent charges in their system. They were notified well within the required time frames. But even today, they have not taken action on the fraudulent charges.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the discriminatory experiences I encountered while attempting to apply for a credit card at Wells Fargo Bank, specifically at the branch located in XXXX, North Carolina. My complaint pertains to the bank 's inconsistent treatment of credit card applicants based on their immigration and residency status, which is in direct violation of U.S. regulations and the principles of equality and non-discrimination. During my attempts to secure a credit card from Wells Fargo Bank, my applications were repeatedly declined, with bank representatives insisting that I needed to provide proof of XXXX citizenship or XXXX residency. It is important to note that this requirement was never communicated in any pre-application documentation or during the application process, and there is no public disclosure of such a requirement as a condition for credit card approval by Wells Fargo. Of great concern is the fact that two acquaintances with immigration and residency statuses similar to mine were able to obtain credit cards from the same Wells Fargo branch without any issues. This discrepancy in treatment has led me to believe that there is an inconsistency in the bank 's application evaluation process. In an effort to address this issue, I visited the branch and filed a complaint for resolution within the Wells Fargo system. However, to my disappointment, no one from the bank has reached out to me to address my concerns, nor have I received a clear and satisfactory response regarding the specific requirements, if any, for XXXX citizenship or residency for credit card approval. I hold a valid Social Security card and am currently legally employed in the United States. Additionally, I possess credit cards issued by other financial institutions, which suggests that I meet the necessary criteria for credit card eligibility, provided that consistent standards are applied to all applicants.

Per that notie Wells Fargo allowed another day to put funds into account. They did not adhere to this notice and assigned fees prematurely.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a XXXX account at Wells Fargo bank with a bonus account offer and funded the account within 30 days over $ XXXX and maintained the balances throughout 90 days holding period which qualify me for earning the {$520.00} bonus offer that I was signed up for at account opening. I'm supposed to receive my account opening bonus within 30 days of earned which should be middle XXXX latest but as of today, after I raised several cases and made numerous phone calls and voice messages, no one from Wells Fargo has been able to help me. The worst thing is I'm unable to move the fund out of this account which only pay XX/XX/XXXX % APY as I need to keep this account open to receive the bonus and in order to avoid account maintenance fee, I have to leave the entire $ XXXX on this almost no interest-bearing savings account. What Wells Fargo does is unethical and is a violation of signed agreement as it stipulated on its advertisement. And since I raised a case in middle XXXX, no one has updated me about its status although I was told that the case should be reviewed and resolved within XXXX business days. By end of XXXX, I had to ask the banker to raise another case to executive office but still no response as of today.
