Consumer Complaint: - On XX/XX/2023 I received a notice from XXXX that a checking account was opened in my name with Wells Fargo. I immediately called Wells Fargo and was told not only was a checking account opened in my name but a credit card as well. They were unable to close the accounts over the phone because I couldn't provide them with the matching information on file ( mother 's maiden name, etc. ). - On XX/XX/2023 I went into the Wells Fargo branch in XXXXXXXX XXXX and spoke with a banker. He helped me open a fraud case and provided me with some information about the fraudster, including his drivers license number which was later determined to be fraudulent by the XXXX Police Department. - On XX/XX/2023 I received a letter from Wells Fargo saying that they had concluded their investigation and that no fraud was found on the account. I called again and was transferred to their Identify Theft department where I opened a new case. - On XX/XX/2023 I received a call from Wells Fargo stating that the Identity Theft case had been resolved because " I went into the branch with a utility bill and proved my identity. '' Needless to say, I did no such thing. - On XX/XX/2023 I filed a police report with the XXXX Police Department. - On XX/XX/2023 I received a package from Wells Fargo outlining my denied Identity Theft case which includes a copy of the application the fraudster originally filled out. The signature on the application looks nothing like mine. - On XX/XX/2023 I received a copy of the police report. - On XX/XX/2023 I went back into the Wells Fargo branch in XXXXXXXX XXXX and spoke to the banker again. He opened a " corporate fraud '' case which he claimed would be faster and more thorough than what I had done before. - On XX/XX/2023 I received another packet in the mail from Wells Fargo saying this fraud case had been denied. According to the information in the packet it appears the checking account may have been closed on XX/XX/XXXX, however, the credit card remains open with a balance of {$6500.00}.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Greetings, XXXX, et al! I hope you're doing better than the imps at Wells Fargo ( XXXX ), because this purported overdrawn account XX/XX/XXXX line item on page XXXX of XXXX of my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) Deposit Account Report ( XXXX ) Consumer # XXXX is preposterous. It doesn't by any stretch of the imagination makes any sense other than greed, incompetence, or defamation that they would report that when ( 1 ) they never charged an overdraft fee on my XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX statement for that XX/XX/XXXX purported overdraft. The attachments proved that my Everyday Checking account did NOT have Overdraft Service, so if there was an overdraft that caused the account to be overdrawn then there should have been an overdraft fee, but there was never an overdraft fee. These are things your staff should inspect before allowing clients especially those with the historical reputation of habitually unscrupulous behavior that Wells Fargo has earned and apparently will NEVER shake to post slander and defamation that cause reputational harm to citizens. In addition, an attachment also proves much to the contrary that I ever had a negative balance during the XX/XX/XXXX statement. The attachment captures the {$290.00} internal transfer in question; depicting that transfers within the same banking system often compute immediately ; meaning that the result or new balance from the attempted transaction shows before the transaction is completed. It has been very interesting to see how many mathematical/accounting steps banks have been skipping trying to make material misstatements immaterial, based on frequency. They or you think that if no one gets hurt then, it is okay. Well it is NOT! And this is a prime example of it. Based on the transfer confirmation I Saved as a PDF on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, I had {$1000.00} in my checking account and transferred {$290.00} into my Wells Fargo XXXX savings account. As aforementioned, this balance of {$720.00} as a result was presented at the confirmation stage of the transfer. To further support this, XXXX, like many banks have something called XXXX XXXX XXXX of which the record will show that I never use. However, on Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed that my direct deposit in the amount of {$980.00} almost XXXX times the amount of the {$290.00} internal transfer was on was made available on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX, which is how I had {$1000.00} in my checking account on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX. Apparently, XXXX has computation and/or ethical issues. Total deposits for the XX/XX/XXXX statement were {$1500.00} and total withdrawals were {$290.00}. THERE WAS NO OVERDRAFT. Thus, no overdraft shouldve been reported. XXXX is simply manipulating transactions so as to create a demand or opportunity to try to convince me to add a service that I/we dont need ( i.e., XXXX XXXX )! Instead of providing excellence service experience, most banks are trying so hard to indentify or create ways to prove that we need them, than the fact that THEY NEED XXXX. Like racism, this is a moral problem. Additionally, it is NOT beyond a reasonable doubt that someone I found incompetent about previous problems they have presented to me used my voice or a XXXX search to implement this hateful action. These types of things waste our lifetime ( i.e., suppression ). This experience that I have inured is XXXX of the reasons why I closed my XXXX accounts, because XXXX has proved to be the most XXXX of the most unscrupulous banks that I've ever known. There is no wonder that they were forced to leave almost every state around the XXXX XXXX. As such, someone either at EWS and/or WF must remove the defamatory libel from my EWS XXXX Consumer # XXXX. Thanks for reading. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Appreciatively, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX that be

Consumer Complaint: I was certainly part of the Wells Fargo Scam and my house was stolen from me in XXXX. I am a veteran, and this was my first home and first time using the VA Home Loan. Here is the letter I sent asking for assistance from a law firm that refused to help me. I have been through XXXX after this foreclosure and glad to see that Wells Fargo was caught. Just yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a check from Wells Fargo for {$200.00} stating, " During a review of the account, we identified that when the loan was considered for payment assistance options, an error may have occurred. As a result, we are enclosing a check for {$200.00}. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused. '' I have not cashed the check and will not until I seek advisement. I will do whatever I need to do to seek damages. To Whom It May Concern : On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX after XXXX XXXX years as a professor, I was laid off from my job at XXXX XXXX due to financial reasons, the school was officially closed and all employees laid off. Immediately, I applied for on employment and informed my mortgage company ( Wells Fargo ) of the drastic change to my employment status. By XX/XX/XXXX, I had been hired by XXXX XXXX and working full-time hours as a long-term substitute teacher to replace a teacher who had resigned. While substitute teaching, I began working with veteran organizations to secure a position in my field of healthcare. Being overqualified for many positions has made it difficult to find employment. My applications included any position from janitor to executive. After being three months behind on my mortgage, Wells Fargo placed my home on forbearance. Although I made enough to cover the monthly mortgage ( $ XXXX monthly ), Wells Fargo would not allow me to make a payment until I had the full amount. As a full-time XXXX XXXX, who has completed all classwork, I receive enough financial aid to cover several months of back pay ; however, again, because I did not have the full amount, I was not allowed to make a payment. I went through several loan modifications with Wells Fargo, each time having difficulty with Wells Fargo accepting my long-term substitute contract as viable income. XXXX XXXX even provided a letter to Wells Fargo to verify that I was under a long-term contract. I could not work in the months of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX due to my brother becoming sick with a sudden case of XXXX and passing away in XXXX, Texas. After several months on forbearance, Wells Fargo gave me until XX/XX/XXXXXXXX to demonstrate an increase in my sources of income to avoid my house going into foreclosure. As I had done throughout the entire process, I kept Wells Fargo informed through contact with my Home Preservation Specialist as instructed. On XX/XX/XXXX, I had a scheduled interview with XXXX and was told that I was a likely candidate for higher. I informed Wells Fargo of the interview and the potential of increased income. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was officially hired or part-time position, and send an e-mail to Wells Fargo and the Department of XXXX XXXX XXXX Department . With the additional income added to my teaching job during the day, and now working at XXXX in the afternoon, this income would be enough to avoid foreclosure of my home. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a response e-mail from Wells Fargo directing me to call and speak to my home preservation specialist to place me into the reentry team to restart the review process. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Wells Fargo as instructed and spoke to a representative who congratulated me on the job and asked me for 15 min. interview to begin the process. Unfortunately our was at work at the time and could not complete the 15 min. interview, but informed them that tomorrow during my lunch hour I would be able to call in. I was told that it was okay perceive that manner. I sent an e-mail to my home preservation specialist to confirm what was discussed. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, I traveled to XXXX to meet with my manager who was writing me a letter of hire to send to Wells Fargo. While in his office I called Wells Fargo for the 15 min. interview, and the opportunity to obtain directions to forward the letter of hire. The representative I spoke to inform me that they would not allow me read modify my loan due to the VA having a seven-day application process. I spoke with several managers, until finally being transferred to the foreclosure department. In utter disgust, I was told that even though I had a job for the deadline of XX/XX/XXXX that my house would be sold. On XX/XX/XXXX, Wells Fargo sold my house to a law office sold my house to a property group. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a knock on the door stating that my house was sold and the individual was the new owner and that I would have to prepare to leave the property. Before the foreclosure, my credit score was XXXX. My credit score is now XXXX and with a foreclosure listed on my credit report. While I plan to continue to fight this unjust treatment, it is vital that I continue to work both jobs from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX, while trying to secure housing and move my belongings. I never thought this would happen to me with my first home, nor did I believe that after doing everything that I was asked to do, my house would be sold in such a manner creating another homeless veteran. Currently, I'm in the process of being quickly promoted to management XXXX due to my education and experience. During my first day of orientation, my manager sign me up for the test to be promoted to management, which I completed the test on XX/XX/XXXX. This change to management is focused on restoring me to my normal salary range of $ XXXX. Until that time, I am making {$400.00} a week substitute teaching and {$200.00} a week at XXXX ( total {$600.00} weekly/ $ XXXX monthly ). With stable income and the drive to turn my situation around, I only ask for an opportunity for housing while I go through this difficult time.

Today XX/XX/23 I received a check from them for an error when the loan was considered for payment assistance options. It has be roughly 10 years since the foreclosure happened and I really dont see how it was possible for them to foreclose on my home when they owed me money.
