Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I reached out on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX to correct my enrollment and loan status. It is Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. I am currently enrolled full time in a graduate program and have been consecutively since XXXX XXXX ( and prior to the Fall XXXX semester, I was enrolled consecutively from XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX ). I have been receiving emails imploring me to complete exit interviews for a loan for the last several months. I am enrolled full time and provided the enrollment verification form upon request, via email, on XX/XX/XXXX. Several days afterwards my credit score dropped significantly ; upon providing proof of my enrollment my status should have immediately been put on deferral until it was verified by an account specialist. At the time of writing this complaint, after reaching out to UAS multiple times, via email and phone, I presently still owe a payment on their portal. My status has not been adequately adjusted to reflect my enrollment, it has had a significant impact on my credit score, and it will continue to affect me. When I reached out by phone I was not given any time frame as to when my status would be corrected. My loan status has been corrected and deferred until XX/XX/XXXX, however : 1. My graduate date us XX/XX/XXXX, not XX/XX/XXXX. The deferment should go until 6 months after graduation, which is XX/XX/XXXX. 2. The incorrect status on my credit report has STILL not been corrected.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Notification didn't disclose it was an attempt to collect a debt
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an offer from Transworld System Inc to settle debt of {$9400.00} for {$2000.00}. Prior to accepting the offer, on XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to a collections department representative of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( original creditor ) who verified the offer but instructed me to contact Transworld. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX of Transworld Systems who also verified the offer of {$2000.00} to settle the account in full. On XX/XX/XXXX, I withdrew a cashier 's check for the offer amount and certified mailed it along with the Transworld offer letter and a letter requesting notification of closed/settle account ( Please see attachments ). On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to XXXX XXXX, and on both calls she indicated that Transworld has posted the payment to the account, and I will receive a closed account letter in 5-7 days. On XX/XX/XXXX I did not receive the closed account letter that XXXX XXXX stated. But instead, Transworld sent me another offer letter dated similarly to the first offer letter, dated XX/XX/XXXX, in the amount of {$7600.00}. Both debt letters are dated XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX who stated that to disregard the letter and that the closed account notification letter was mailed from Transworld XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, and that I should receive it soon. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to Transworld Systems again at or about XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX in error offer letter that I had received on XX/XX/XXXX for {$7.00}, XXXX. XXXX XXXX verified that I paid the {$2000.00} and that the debt had been settled and the account closed. She also stated that I should receive my closed account letter absolving from the and that it went out on XX/XX/XXXX. To This very day I have not received the letter promised by Transworld Systems absolving me from the debt.

Consumer Complaint: Contacted Transworld Systems to inform them about a collection showing on my credit reports, I informed them that I did not know where this account came from and I never had a account with XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was residing in California at the time this account was reported. THey asked that I verify my address by sending them a utility bill from that time the account was reported in which I did, also they sent me a fraud packet which I filled out and returned. Thus far there account has been deleted from all my credit reports except from XXXX. This account recently re reported to XXXX on XX/XX/2022 for {$370.00} which is inaccurate information because this account does not belong to me.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from a Debt Collection Company stating that they were trying to collect a payment from a dental office. Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter stating that this company was REQUIRED by law to inform me that effecteive XX/XX/XXXX ( the date of the letter ) that the statute of limitations to sue me for the debt listed within the letter HAD EXPIRED and that ANYONE who attempted to sue me or made attempts to further collect on the debt, that I AM REQUIRED to INFORM them that the statute of limitations has expired preventing them from obtaining a judgement. Furthermore, I was also informed that SHOULD I make ANY payment, this company would then be able to sue/collect the total amount of the debt within. As I have now been armed with that letter and information, TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. PROCEEDED to call me, harass me and THREATEN me with suspension of my license AND registration for the outstanding debt of toll fees & OBNOXIOUS fines on # 1 a car I NO LONGER own because it was totaled and # 2 on plates that I ALREADY turned in AND replaced due to my old car being totaled. Whether I owe is no longer the question, but the tactics of harassment and threats I received as a result for SEVERAL MONTHS THEREAFTER has caused TREMENDOUS XXXX, stress, distress, and turmoil. The calls began XXXX XXXX and CONTINUED until around XX/XX/XXXX when I explained that # 1 I was still hurt from my accident and unable to pay ( even if I wanted to ) and # 2 I REMINDED them on at least FIVE occasions that THEIR OWN COMPANY sent me this letter informing of the expiration of the statute for them sue/attempt to collect and basically to not even pay one red cent as to avoid being on the hook for their ENTIRE amount. Also, the amount quoted to me was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what was actually listed in the document/letter sent to me. The supervisor I spoke with then proceeded to tell me that upon my refusal to pay, IGNORING the fact that apparently it was THEIR legal team who informed me of my rights to not pay, THREATENED to have my license and registration suspended. To date, XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX still has this listed under my name WITH THE OLD PLATE INFORMATION BUT with the more recent dates falsified because I DID NOT TRAVEL to areas listed on those dates and I HAVE VERIFICATION proving that I DID NOT.

Consumer Complaint: I talked to them on the phone and they said I still owed a debt, I was taken to court earlier by a different attorney and this debt was dropped because I have a XXXX XXXX and paid-off note! this is not my debt. The court in XXXX XXXX has a record of this information and I am no longer to be contacted over this debt. This is unfair and the original collector knows it was paid for.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: I currently have XXXX Loans held by XXXX University and serviced by UAS. For the past three years, UAS has been erroneously reporting a default status to the NSLDS. Upon logging into their website as a borrower, it showed {$0.00} due as a payment and the account as being in repayment and current. They had their website coded on the front end so that I would see the loan as current and zero payments due, while at the same time sending opposite information to the NSLDS on the back-end that the loan was in default. In summary, for a period of at least three years, UAS has been providing information to the borrower that stated the loan was in repayment, in good standing, and zero payment was due while at the same time, providing information to the NSLDS that the loan was in default, not in good standing, and past due. These damaging acts committed by UAS were confirmed and acknowledged in writing by XXXX University officials via emails that are attached to this complaint. In addition, they have XXXX University listed as the lender. However, XXXX University has stated that they are not the lender but rather, the federal government is the lender, and they are just the servicer. Furthermore, during this time, XXXX University and UAS had the option to voluntarily suspend interest and payments for XXXX Loans in alignment with the 0 % interest Covid-19 forbearance offered by the Department of Education . UAS and XXXX University chose not to do this and instead, UAS erroneously reported my loan as defaulted. In fact, as of today, it is still being reported as defaulted to the NSLDS because they have not updated their records yet since they will only do so at month-end.

Issue: Threatened to contact someone or share information improperly
Subissue: Talked to a third-party about your debt
Consumer Complaint: Company called TSI keeps calling my place of employment. They ask to speak to me and tell my employer/coworkers who they are with and on a recorded line. They have also contacted my ex wife and claimed that they can not get ahold of me. They explained to her information about my personal finances. When googling this number, ( XXXX ) XXXX, it comes up as a scam risk. They state that I owe money to a state I no longer live in. They also claim that this is dealing with my taxes from XXXX. Its almost XXXX tax season! No communication has come from this state prior to this. The individual calls my ( one phone line ) place of employment daily. This is an absolute harassment towards my employer and directly takes a strain on my employment. If a debt is due to a certain state/entity, it would be sent via the U.S. Postal Service. When telling the individual that it is beyond unethical to contact my place of employment and former partner, they stated that they have tried to contact my cell phone but it goes to voicemail. I asked that they leave a voicemail or send a letter. It was explained to me that they have tried contact me but that my phone must not be working and they are not allowed to leave a voicemail. They have also stated to my ex partner that they can not send mail over state lines ( WI/IL ). I make and take numerous calls on this phone daily. This is pure harassment techniques that are beyond the point of a code of ethics and should not be taken lightly.
