Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I found a collection reported on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX from TSI. Prior to this I would receive repeated phone calls but no voicemail. ( Bill collectors constantly call in regards to my father... so I don't answer my phone unless I can recognize the number or a voicemail is left ). I called TSI to ask why I was sent to collections when I have no personal/business relationship with them. They explained that they are a debt collection agency and XXXX sent me to them for a serious debt/collection of {$360.00}. I tried to explain that I do not have any accounts with this company and hadn't received one single form of communication by mail, email or phone call regarding any debt from this company prior to this notification on my credit report. After, repeating several times that I do not, nor have I ever had any open accounts in AZ since moving away in XXXX they answered it was fraud and would send me paperwork to complete. They said it would take 30-90 days. I have received no documents. And now I have a blemish on my credit report. TSI Transworld Systems Inc.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I received a call from Transworld Collections to collect on a debt from a company XXXX XXXX. They provided no additional information. I did not recognize the company name or billing amount, so I asked to receive a bill in the mail stating services rendered, amount due, etc. I never received that information, so I assumed it to be an error. I received a call today XX/XX/23 from Transworld Collections again on the same debt. I asked them again to send me information to review so that I could validate if this claim was correct. I told them that I asked for this before and never received it. They acknowledged that I did in fact request validation in XXXX. I then followed up searching XXXX XXXX and contacting them. They have no record of me as a customer and stated that they do not use Transworld Collections. They recommended me contacting insurance. I did so. Insurance wanted me to pay them directly to a different company name, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and an invalid scam robot message service for First Alert devices ). I told them I would not put my banking routing information online to a company that didn't match the Explanation of Benefits XXXX XXXX XXXX or the Transworld Debtor XXXX XXXX XXXX. The insurance company called Transworld on my behalf. After being on hold for about 20 minutes while the insurance agency call Transworld to get a bill for me, both agents came back on the line to validate information so they could talk to me. I again requested information on the debtor and the bill. I was able to get the name again XXXX and a date of service. I stated again that I never received a bill from XXXX. The Transworld agent recommended I called them directly. I told her that I did, and in fact, they confirmed that they have no record of me. They also confirmed that they did not turn me into Transworld because they don't use Transworld. At that time, my healthcare insurance agent jumped in to say that I did receive a bill from them. I told her that I had not, that in fact, there was an Explanation of Benefits online only and not a bill from them or any provider. I reiterated the points that the provider names don't match on EOB and card payment portal. That not only do I not remember having the service provided, that I certainly never received a bill from anyone or any proper notification from Transworld on the attempt at collection. The insurance agent told me that I could go and she could speak to Transworld on my behalf. I stopped her and told her after her " billing comment '' she clearly didn't have my best interest. I asked the Transworld employee to again send proper notification of the debt and again verified my address. I told her that I needed to validate if the service was actually rendered, who the provider was, and if in fact it was that I hadn't already paid. She left the call. I then stayed on with insurance I again reiterated my frustration about being sent to collections without proper billing and/or communication from a service provider. It is worth noting that immediately following the call ( 11 minutes ), I received 6 separate text messages opting me into different XXXX notifications. I attempted to appeal the claim on my insurance and was unable to do so. This makes me think there is something going on between Transworld and the insurance agency. Certainly, there was not proper notification here from any party before and after collections.

Consumer Complaint: Hello Ive disputed this account before with XXXX system. They are reporting a collection as an open and past due account. They are also sending me a bill for XXXX but reporting {$190.00} to credit bureaus. This is inaccurate reporting. I am keeping dispute letters on file and their responses. My next step is to file a complaint with the state attorneys office if this item is not removed. I also asked them to cease all communication and they keep contacting me. I attached a copy of the collection for your reference

Consumer Complaint: They contacted me by phone numerous times and hung up on me without speaking to me. When I finally spoke to someone they directed me to a website that was different form the public website to see the debt. When I said I would not. I would only go to a site I could go to via web search. I found the company site. I found the payment portal and input the registration numbers they gave me and received an error message with 5 attempts same message. I requested a statement in writing. They refused saying they could not send me a statement in writing. The caller had no way for me to validate them independently. This company is creating security risk for consumers. This all occurred during the month of XX/XX/. I attached screen shots of the error message, the public site I visited, and the site from the e-mail XXXX sent to spam and the caller insisted I should use.
