Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: I have a duplicate collection listed on my credit report from XXXX XXXX XXXX. TransWorld Systems claims to be the agency that should be collecting I did pay them about XXXX dollars in the past, but now XXXX XXXX is claiming I should pay them. I can never reach anyone from XXXX and had to ask XXXX XXXX XXXX SEVERAL times who indeed I should be paying they told me XXXX XXXX but would not put it in writing. I asked the electric compnay if i could pay them directly and they said yes. The debt still remains after disputing with all three bureaus and specifically asking them all to confirm with the electric company WHO is the owner of the debt. They both still remain on my credit report. My ex, an electrician rigged the electric attempting to avoid his portion of child support. He admitted it but I am still being held responsible although he offered to take responsibility. How did electric get taken without anyone knowing including me to the tune of XXXX? Are the duplicates being ignored because I am branded a theif? Not fair. I dont have any track record of being a thief and he should be held accountable. Not me.

Consumer Complaint: I resided in the apartment complex. At the end of my lease. I departed from my apartment on XX/XX/2019. My lease ended XX/XX/2019. I paid XXXX for the full month rate. As I departed in the middle of the month, 18 days early, that left me with a credit of {$870.00} on my lease in which should have been applied to any final balance imposed. I was assisted by XXXX XXXX XXXX Emergency Financial Assistance to Veterans to pay my last month rent as I was unable too. I was charged {$600.00} for cleaning fee that should have been applied to the prorated credit owed. The Apartment company withheld my credit and did not return it to me or back to the XXXX XXXX XXXX Emergency Financial Institute that assisted me with my payment and tried to charge me with an outstanding balance. The company sent me a cleaning bill in which they claimed they paid their staff the {$600.00} to remove a bed and dresser from my apartment. Because my credit for the month was not returned they should have applied the balance that is claimed, otherwise this would be considered as theft from the XXXX Emergency Assistance program as the credit/funds was not returned. I am not obligated or held to this charge. And I request this collection be removed completely from all credit bureaus report.

Consumer Complaint: I have been contacted by this collection agency at least three ( 3 ) times this year in which the agency told me contradictory information and then made excuses for it, was berated by staff, was prey to attempted coercion for collection of personal information an attempted intimidation. The credit card is a military issued credit card that was explained to me be the agency to have different rules then regular credit cards so the actions they were taking were legal according to them. The amount quoted to me as owed to them for collection was not clearly explained even after questions were asked. The amount owed also varied up and down between times of contact and differed from paper bills always. One of the agents I spoke with attempted to berate me for not understanding responsibility and tried to explain how the government works. This agent also quoted me a very low payoff amount which later changed. Another agent on a different day made excuses for the previous agent stating they were new at their job which is in no way pertinent information. The most recent agent harassed me for at least thirty ( 30 ) minutes trying to coerce me into giving personal information pertaining to my finances that was not directly related to the debt. They also used strong language to express their dissatisfaction with my handling of their tactics. Eventually the agent was so frustrated they hung up on me. I have been actively attempting to settle or erase this debt these past few times speaking with the collection agency however they purposely seem to be making that proposition difficult.

Consumer Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX believes in the credit reporting system as the most important element to the success of the commercial banking system. I am also a proponent of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) as a tool to streamline issues on credit reports that may be dragging down my overall scores. Accordingly, I address each particular issue directly with the creditor in question, before submitting any complaint to the credit bureaus if necessary. Therefore, I desire the following reinvestigation as follows : 1 ) On accounts where late payments are posted, I respectfully request a review of the past payment history and to ascertain if certain payments could actually have been posted late because of an overlap on the 30-days grace period. I realize that this may happen on occasion, and I request only a summary review internally, and do not require any documentation. 2 ) On any account that falls within the 84-month negative reporting timeline, I respectfully request either the deletion of the account if said account was closed, or the elimination of the prior payment if the account it is still active, this is well within the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) guidelines pertaining to obsolete information. 3 ) Any collections must be proved if either a direct collection and/or debt purchase. In either event I request that a true original copy of right to pursue collection be established with each respective credit reporting agency, and if a debt purchase the guidelines proving transfer of ownership must be submitted to all credit bureaus as well as me personally to validate ownership and the right to collect. I am well within my rights requesting proper documentation as administered through the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) and the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ), in addition to the even stricter guidelines enforced by the office of attorney general in my state of domicile. I respectfully request each investigation to be reported to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX within a reasonable time period, hopefully 30-days. I realize that the current Covid-19 crisis could cause delays, so the best efforts of each financial institution and collection agency will be appreciated under the current circumstances. XXXX XXXX
