Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX door-to-door sales people made false promises to my husband and myself ( we will both sign notarized affidavits if necessary ) regarding services, fees, cancellation policiesand almost every aspect of the sale. When we attempted to modify service in XX/XX/XXXX, per the contract and promises we were sold upon, XXXX employees were discourteous, inappropriate, and threatened to levee exorbitant fees of {$350.00} ( just for changing, rather than canceling services ). We sought to rectify the problem and spoke to a supervisor named XXXX XXXX we recorded this and other calls ). We informed her that based on services and false promises, we were canceling and would not pay the cancellation fee. The supervisor, XXXX, finally said okay, to the lack of fee and admitted that it was a " training issue. '' I recorded the call. I have a subsequent, screenshotted chat with a XXXX employee where they acknowledge that okay was said but then debate the meaning of the word " okay. '' It is defined as acquiescence. XXXX then submitted a form to my bank for the one-time fee as a recurring payment, a lie, which constitutes fraud. My bank, XXXX XXXX, credit my account with the returned funds and found in my favour as soon as XX/XX/XXXX. It is also worth noting that the original promises XXXX refused to honour and stated did not exist and were not made then appeared online and in mailings sent to our home that I have retained ( promises including no contract, no fees, either cable or internet, ability to modify/downgrade at anytime ). It should be noted also that, regardless of the issue with the false promises -- which is serious -- and the fact that, in an interview with a XXXX employee in XXXX, I was told that those sales people were fired, the issue now is that I have been hounded by XXXX ever since. They have sent numerous credit agencies after me and, as recently as XX/XX/XXXX, hurt my credit report with a filing against me for the money, which XXXX XXXX retrieved ( I have retained the letter in which the claim was found in my favour and I was credited the money ). I do not owe XXXX any money. If they now have an issue, it is with XXXX XXXX. I am being harassed and emotionally distressed, and my financial standing is being compromised all so they can obtain {$670.00} that I was already provided via an accredited financial institution. XXXX fraudulently applied to the bank for the money and now they are willfully pursing a former customer with malicious intent for a debt that is not owed. It is criminal. I demand that my credit score be restored. I demand that XXXX cease and desist the harassment and discharge the erroneous debt immediately. And, if they can be charged for the harassment and pursuit of a debt they are aware I do not owe ( I told several debt collection agencies and provided my letter from XXXX XXXX ; I spoke with numerous XXXX employees ; I recounted the story and provided proof to no avail. I have recorded conversations with XXXX employees in the billing department ), I would appreciate that the CFPB go after them with full force. I am sure I'm not the only customer they do this to and they ought to use consumer money to fund services. Or charitable donations. Instead, they are causing real distress and wasting my personal time. I would like to be remunerated for the time I have spent on this ridiculous venture. Thank you for your consideration!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, Transworld System Inc. popped up on credit report as a collection account with a late payment. I do not and have never had an account with them. Also, I do not have any scheduled payments with them so how could they report a late payment. This fraudulent account and unfair practice is in direct violation of fcra. Please assist me with removing this fraudulent account from my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: I have previously communicated with this company about these unverified debts that do not belong to me, and they have shown no proof that the alleged debts belong to me. I am tired of them calling my phone communicating about a false debt that isn't mine. I am getting ready to file for ligation, if this happens one more time. If anything comes on my credit report, I will sue.

Consumer Complaint: This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the FDCPA which it prohibits. They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. More so they didn't follow the proper 5 step validation procedure which make this unfair practices. According to the FDCPA I'm entitled to XXXX dollars per violation and clearly they violated my rights.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding the debt collection attempts made by Transworld Systems Inc. ( TSI ) in connection with an account associated with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a response to my debt validation letter, which was sent by certified mail on XX/XX/2023, dated XX/XX/2023, and I would like to bring to your attention the inadequacies in the information provided. In my debt validation letter, I specifically requested details about the authority to collect the debt. However, the response from TSI did not provide any information in this regard. To facilitate a meaningful discussion about the debt, I would appreciate your prompt attention to the following questions : I would like more information about your firm before I discuss the debt with you. Does your firm have a debt collection license from my state? If not, kindly provide the reason for not having one. If so, please furnish the date of the license, the name on the license, the license number, and the name, address, and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. If you are contacting me from a place outside my state, does your firm have a debt collection license from that place? If so, provide the date of the license, the name on the license, the license number, and the name, address, and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. Furthermore, I would like to highlight that TSI has added its own personal interest charge to the debt, resulting in an inflated amount. It is my understanding that adding personal interest charges is illegal. The principal amount owed to XXXX was {$1300.00}, and according to the debt validation letter, the current amount owed is now {$2400.00}. I insist that TSI rectify these discrepancies and provide the necessary information in compliance with debt collection regulations. Failure to do so may result in legal action to protect my rights as a consumer. I request that you address these concerns promptly and provide a detailed response within 30 days from the date of this letter. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by Transworld Systems Inc. ( TSI ), seeking to collect the debt in the amount of {$260.00} on behalf of XXXX XXXX as per attached TSI letter. I have spoken with the TSI representative on XX/XX/XXXX and informed them that my roommate XXXX XXXX and I have paid the above amount to XXXX XXXX back in the XXXX XXXX XXXX and that we have the payment confirmation receipts to prove it. I was instructed by TSI representative to submit the proof of payment information via email address XXXX for the TSI review. I have submitted the same proof of payment information receipts as I am attaching to this complaint to the TSI using the email address provided. After not hearing anything back from TSI I have contacted them again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told by TSI representative that no information about the case could be provided at this point. I think it is a blatant violation of my consumer rights to seek to collect debt that has been previously paid and not to respond to my request for further information.

Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint with Transworld about a negative account that was placed on my credit report that I know does not belong to me. My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, I have a son who is XXXX XXXX XXXX who lived at the address listed on the billing statement you provided as proof. This address is not listed on my credit report anywhere. This is for a XXXX account that I never had at an address I never lived at. The bill you presented does not give the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX so how can you tell which person this belongs to? Can you provide any proof other than a bill from XXXX that it belongs to either of us? I have a current and active XXXX account now in my name that I can prove belongs to me! I'm pretty sure you know like I do ; a billing statement is not considered sufficient evidence of ownership. So, this is my second time asking you to please either provide me with specific ownership of this account belonging to me XXXX XXXX XXXX, or remove it from my credit report immediately!
