Consumer Complaint: A woman named XXXX called claiming to be with TransWorld collections agency. This attempt to immediately go into payment, ask for my bank account or card numbers three times without following fair and correct legal debt collections practices is the reason for today 's report. " XXXX '' read a usual script. What was not normal was the immediate insistence that I give my checking account, abrupt requests for it, in urgency. This is indicative of a scam. Additionally, I have been in contact with XXXX XXXXXXXX and have spoken regarding my temporary ( hopefully ) XXXX.While not working, desperately want a career and my life back. So, when XXXX called and did not " attempt '' to understand as her script states, share WHICH company ( she then stated the name of a company of a closed card from years ago ) without my asking whom she represented, or, what debt but go immediately into asking for my payment information! This is not a fair and legal debt collection practice. XXXX in her script stated " this is a recorded call, and, an attempt to understand the needs of my status, attempt to collect a debt '', as read.. That is ok in fair debt collection regulations in the United States XXXX Next, " XXXX '' began by asking for my checking account details asking what payment will I be using? When I responded may I ask what you mean? What? What debt are you referring to? What company is this and what is this regarding, she stated a card ending in XXXX. While there may have been one ending in XXXX, that could be a scammer pulling up my information, as recently I have experienced personal data breached information as have many citizens in our global digital environment. In fact, the suspicions grew as I remained in good faith in contact with the card company, as I loved the company. I did speak with the debtor as shared above, and, have in many times in the past shared already why this is closed, even worked with their staff personally, as I really loved that company. Therefore, while there may be an outstanding debt and hopefully this was TransWorld, yet sincerely doubt it. The woman calling herself " XXXX '' continued to keep asking for payment information three times prior to actually listening to understand, as stated in the script. The number does not come up as TransWorld. So responding " what ''? " What do you mean? '' led to her asking again for my payment information, not to assist the consumer by sharing specifics of the debt to confirm legitimacy. This is no compliant. If it was TransWorld there will be a recorded call.

I was told no you dont. I asked for proof of debt, they said they were looking at the proof, I needed to pay it now or it would be placed on my credit bureau. I immediately disputed the debt and asked them to cease communication until I receive proof of debt, by mail. I insisted on only written correspondence. The TSI rep. hung up. I have since received numerous calls and hang ups from their virtual agent when I refused to hold for the next agent. I am now getting email correspondence that I have never consented too. I have contacted the landlord and confirmed I have no balance. I also have the specific canceled check. I am not willing to be bullied by this group of illiterate animals. In reviewing my options against this organization, I have discovered that they have violated my mini XXXX rights.

Consumer Complaint: This XXXX collection account was the subject of previous CFPB complaint # XXXX. The collection agency XXXX XXXX claimed they did not receive my dispute letter and that they had sent the account back to XXXX. XXXX subsequently placed the account with a new collection agency, Transworld Systems of XXXX XXXX, PA, which is the subject of this complaint. I sent a request by certified mail disputing the amount and requesting a detailed accounting of the amount XXXX claims I owe. Transworld Systems signed the certified mail request card ( a copy of which is attached ), indicating they received my dispute letter, but they have never responded to me. The XXXX account remains on my credit report. This is an infraction of the FCRA. I switched from XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023, and XXXX acknowledged the transfer by text message on the same date ( copy attached ). I subsequently received notification from XXXX that they claimed to provide service through XX/XX/XXXX and were billing me an additional {$120.00}. I have had XXXX XXXX XXXX service since XX/XX/2023, which XXXX acknowledged. XXXX has never provided me with a copy of the final bill.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, I received written correspondence from Transworld Systems Inc. regarding a medical bill for a XXXX XXXX for {$4500.00}. The XXXX XXXX never received any medical related services on the dates provided on the letters from the debt collection agency. The XXXX XXXX was not present at any facility on the dates of services nor was any care authorized by the debtor. The parent named as the debtor never provided any consent, signature, verbal or written consent for any medical services to be provided on the date ( s ) of service. The debt collection agency is intimidating our family by sending notices for the same illegitimate debt 3 times over the course of 4 days. I contacted Transworld Systems XX/XX/XXXX and said this debt does not belong to me or the XXXX XXXX. I was told repeatedly that I could not dispute the debt over the phone and that the debt was valid and that it would be reported to my credit if I did not pay it by XX/XX/XXXX or accept a payment arrangement. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter disputing the debt and asked for the information that could be provided, such as the name of the original creditor. I contacted Transworld Systems XX/XX/XXXX and asked if my letter was received. I was told there is no record of the letter 7 days after the letter was mailed US Mail. Transworld representative said you can also submit your dispute online. I reiterated that their online website was not operating and that I was unable to get credentials to log into the website after several attempts. The representative was getting frustrated with me and elevated their tone and told me, you are responsible for the debt and it will be reported against your credit if you do not pay it on time. The representative went on to say, your dispute, even if you really sent one, won't accomplish anything meaningful for you. You will still be liable and further action could proceed against you if you do not pay the debt in full.

Consumer Complaint: Transworld Systems filed a collection on XX/XX/2023 in the amount of {$360.00} with the credit reporting agencies without providing any notice or communication whatsoever to me regarding the debt violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act. As soon as I received an alert from XXXX, I immediately contacted TransWorld Systems to dispute the debt and followed up with that dispute in writing. I have also reached out the agencies to dispute the debt as well. That said, I am in the process of buying a business and this clearly will pose significant negative financial impact to me. Please assist in resolving this, as this agency has operated unlawfully.

Consumer Complaint: I received call from XXXX. They refused to identify themselves after XXXX seconds of me repeating to them " Whose Calling? '' At the beginning of the call, they did state that the call is recorded but refused to state who they were or who they were representing. This is against the FDCPA, as debt collectors are required to identify themselves when they attempt to collect a debt as well as note that any information you give them will be used to collect the debt.

Consumer Complaint: During the month of XXXX, I received notification from XXXX regarding a debt owed under the name Transworld Systems Inc. Unsatisfied with this, I then escalated this dispute by filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau stating that I received no correspondence to my place of residence regarding any debt owed to TSI. In addition, requested proof of a contractual agreement sign by me for said company. I then received a response from Transworld Systems Inc. which included a letter stating who was handling this case, the number in which to reach this person, along with other pertinent information regarding this account.
