Consumer Complaint: They call at least 6 or 7 times a day and leave messages in spite of me blocking their number. They have been doing this for months and it keeps me from getting medical appointment updates. I am having to go in and dump messages from my phone. I suspect this is the bill for the HSN card where Synchrony has received over {$XXXX} for a {$XXXX} makeup purchase because no matter what I did I kept screwing up the due date. At some point, they need to give us a break. I had finally gotten payments synchronized and then credit companies changed hands with little room for amnesty. And I just couldn't get it back on track. If you're charging a late fee every month you get a payment something isn't right.

Consumer Complaint: Synchrony Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX FL XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I was charged for some sort of insurance by XXXX XXXX according to my statement. This charge occurred in XXXX XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX XXXX XXXX {$710.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$610.00} XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX {$610.00} XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX {$610.00} Interest to date on these charges from Sychrony Bank XXXX approx {$180.00} I paid these charges without looking at my statement. I was in a divorce ( starting XX/XX/XXXX where my husband had removed me from our insurance ) I was under emotional distress due to this divorce process and my husband was finally arrested in XXXX XXXX for harassment. I opened my XXXX statement and saw the XX/XX/XXXX charge and then looked back to find the above charges. I did not know who XXXX was or XXXX XXXX. I did some research online and found that there were several reports of insurance fraud reported regarding the XXXX XXXX. I located several different phone numbers associated to this company. As I have no paperwork, email communication or otherwise from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had no way to contact them. I attempted to call the numbers I found on line. Either they were no longer in service, or the numbers were associated with another company or I was on hold for over XXXX hours with no contact from anyone. After these attempts to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX made a fraud report to the above named credit card company and submitted paperwork provided on their website to report the fraud. I decided to cancel my credit card in XX/XX/XXXX and reopened a new account. I have been denied my claim 2 times. I have offered to submit the information regarding the fraud reported online. I have requested to see any and all paperwork that Synchrony Bank has from this company as this is the reason the Fraud Dept. representatives tell me my claim has been denied. I was told to go to the local XXXX Police and report the fraud. I did so and the officer explained to me that there was nothing that XXXX could do to help me. I called the Synchroncy fraud dept again and was told I should try to get a notice that I did report a fraud, and that it might help my case, but there was no guarantee. I requested again to see any paperwork. I was refused. I have requested a third time for this case to be opened for to be rebated my payments for these charges. I did pay them as I did not look at my statement and simply paid the bills. I have ALWAYS paid my bills. I have an excellent credit rating. I have no problems with any credit or mortagae service. In fact, I have been a XXXX XXXX XXXX in the State of CT for years and work with insurance companies all the time. I am told now, by the credit card above fraud dept that the XXXX Claim Services states I somehow opened an account on XX/XX/XXXX, I did not. I am told that I started to " use their services '' on XX/XX/XXXX. When I asked the fraud dept representative what were the services & who are these people, she said she did not have that information. What are my options to be paid back for the fraudulent charges that, in good faith, I paid? Today I canceled my account with this company. I am disappointed as I enjoyed their services before this incident and am in awe of their process where on the word of a fraudulent company they are charging a customer in good standing despite repeated attempts to solve the issue. BTW, I sought insurance on what I thought was the Open Marketplace in XXXX. I was not eligible for insurance credits, so I secured insurance with XXXX as of XXXX, XXXX. Consumer Complaint: CFPB : DO NOT LABEL THIS AS A DUPLICATE OF A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT, EVEN IF REQUESTED BY A COMPANY TO DO SO. THIS IS NOT A DUPLICATE ; IT HAS IMPERATIVE INFORMATION WHICH REQUIRES CAREFUL ATTENTION AND REVIEW. Previous CFPB reports ( pages 6-26 of attached document, starting from the most recent report ) brought to light Synchrony Banks disreputability. The last report ( XX/XX/2022 ) showed that Synchrony disabled access to my online account ( page 5 ) then took a payment out of my bank account despite XXXX XXXX stop payment order ( page 4 ). After receiving this report, on XX/XX/2022 Synchrony sent a letter saying they closed the account and notified the credit bureaus to disregard the loan in my credit report number ( page XXXX ). Despite saying this, on XX/XX/2022 they took {$1100.00} out of my XXXX XXXX account ( page 2 ). Similar to the fourth CFPB report ( XXXX ), the only way they could have overrode the stop payment is by hacking into my bank account. Evident in how XXXX XXXX deemed this transaction as illegitimate and reversed it ( page 3 ). Since hacking into my bank account multiple times is a felony which jurisdiction expands beyond the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I have also reported Synchrony to the Federal Bureau of Investigation XXXX Federal Reserve, Federal Trade Commission, Homeland Security ( Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency ), Internet Crime Complaint Center, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Am I alone in being attacked by this company? Far from it. Their XXXX profile ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) has a 1 out of 5-star rating based on 1022 customer reviews, plus 6932 customer complaints. Consumer Complaint: Dentist came up with a plan for {$3000.00} and enrolled me in Care Credit a year ago. Today I was hit with nearly {$900.00} interest because the balance wasn't paid in full. I was not properly informed of the terms or how this account was structured. The dental office staff suggested I apply for this credit line because they had a 12 month interest free offer going on. I went in because of a toothache and was up sold into a " bacteria analysis '' and deep cleaning. I really just needed the pain to stop. The pronlem tooth was not pulled, the dentist decided a different needed to be removed. So I still have the same broken tooth bothering me and after paying $ XXXX for a year I still have a {$2900.00} balance. My credit scores have plumetted. After I pay down the balance, care credit would reduce my credit line below my current balance, making it appear as if I was overmy limit.

Also exceeding the comparative interest on the whole amount. e ) the following month they have raised the minimum due ( irrespective also wanting the late fee charge ) to DOUBLE the 'minimum paymnt due ' the prior month. Example - This month it now says the XX/XX/XXXX payment is XXXX $ - I explained all this and requested relief and was told they would request it be reviewed to credit it. I WILL NOT pay the increased amount or the Late Fee. It is not fair and i don't care to be treated this way. Thanks

I am certain retroactive interest was not part of our agreement and have asked for a copy of the terms and conditions as for some reason it is not available anywhere online not even when logged into my account. The first rep I spoke to on the websites CHAT BOX was XXXX XXXX who appeared not to know what a Terms and Conditions agreement was. She then asked me about something else and I had to correct her that I was only interested in receiving a copy of our agreement and how to do so. She then left the chat. The second person on the chat box was XXXX who also appeared not to know anything about contracts or agreements between Synchrony and their card holders. I need my copy of the terms and conditions so I can see if they lied to me about when interest starts, vs adding retroactive interest.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an Amazon store card in XXXX that offered 0 % interest for XXXX months. I purchased an item and immediately set up auto-payments. I recently learned that every subsequent item I purchased on the card ( within the 24 month window ; {$640.00} ) was not applied to the 0 % promotion because I didn't " check the box '' to apply it to the promotion. I didn't not know that all those charges would be charged interest ; this was not made clear to me during the purchasing process. Additionally, I found the Amazon store card would randomly pop up as the preferred form of payment during check out, without prompting, and thus additional charges were placed on the card when I expected them to go on another primary credit card. To date the total amount of purchases on the card total {$2800.00}, with payments totally approximately {$2600.00}, leaving a total of {$130.00} due ( minus expected interest after the 24 month initial period ). Despite this, my current balance due is over {$2100.00}. I find the terms and purchased processes of the Amazon store card to be deceptive to consumers and I fully dispute the total balance due. I have closed the card.

Consumer Complaint: I bought music equipment from the merchant. It was several items. They sent in two separate shipments. One shipment arrived and one shipment was returned to the merchant. The merchant will not credit me for the items I didn't receive and they will not respond to my requests for a refund. Paypal Credit/Syncrhony Bank will not help me and refuses to chargeback the merchant. I have sent proof from XXXX that the merchant received the items back and I supplied emails stating the merchant would refund me upon receipt of the items. Paypal credit has denied my dispute 3 times now and will not provide me with a reason.
